West Ham could be without midfielder Julien Faubert for Wednesday night's Premier League match against Liverpool at Anfield.Faubert took a knock in a challenge with Claude Makelele during the Hammers' 4-0 home defeat by Chelsea at the weekend, and is struggling to be fit for the trip to Anfield.
If the Frenchman does recover, manager Alan Curbishley is likely to name an unchanged squad as his team look to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for next season's UEFA Cup.

Peachy. Just peachy.
What else can go wrong this week? Well...
Benitez could rest some of his key players against the Hammers.
Although the Spaniard has intimated that he will not be rotating as much now as the season draws to a climax, he could well change the side that won at Bolton on Sunday.
Steve Finnan is definitely out with a groin strain, but it unlikely that he will continue with Jamie Carragher at full-back, so Alvaro Arbeloa is a likely replacement.
Youngster Martin Skrtel could step down to allow Carragher back into central defence, while Peter Crouch and Yossi Benayoun - both unused substitutes at the Reebok Stadium - could come into contention.
Defender Daniel Agger continues his comeback from injury in Tuesday night's home reserve game against Bolton's second string.

hmmm, picked up Lampard on barn door at a value of 16something, he gets red acrded so i drop him and grab ballack, now red card overturned and lamps value has shot up to 19, with derby county and then a double week on the menu!

(He would have been a nice barn door pickup, if cheap. I had him, dumped him for Pienaar for this week coming...)
Posted by: donegal08 on Tue Mar 04 06:37PM | Report abuseKalou may be a sleeper this week. Remember what Drogba did NOT do last time Chelsea played Derby.... To all those who grammed Babel and/or Pienaar on the barn door - ride the wave like Palacios! Reina has NUFC next week.. he should be a "keeper" for those who have him as their relatively cheap "keeper". (Lamps is now very intriguing vs. Derby. If any midfielder sits, it will be Ballack. Essien is also cheap.)
