Chelsea's Salomon Kalou

So here we go.  Two gamers, ho!

I've gone with Anderson and Scholes in the midfield.  I figure that between the two it covers the ManU attacking midfield spot.  And by that I mean welcome Carrick, Hagreaves, and Fletcher to the starting line-up(s).   Sigh.  I grabbed Kalou, Rooney and Lamps on the barn door at the expense of CRon, Gerrard and Tevez.  As in the midfield, I'm just SURE it's the wrong move.  Doesn't it all but ensure Drogs and Elk get a run out as a tandem?  And I'm selling ManU when they play Derby?!?!?  I've been waiting for this game for months!  But like we talked about last week, I'm trailing in the private leagues and have to take chances... at least be different and give myself a chance to make up ground.

Not to mention that Scholes is "dead to me" according to Neal, see here here here here and here.  If I were to get points from Scholes -- and from my mouth to the football god's ears -- it would just be all the sweeter for that.

Robbo is making a lot of this possible (along with dumping CRon whom I never had at much of a discount).  I'm hopeful for his chances to earn points this weekend.  However, if not, and I end up taking my lumps, I'm looking forward to having him as a sub-2 keeper for Spurs' less-than-daunting run in.

On the D... my super, special surprise of the week is Grétar Rafn Steinsson.  I was leaning towards Parnaby in the hope that he would get the -- ready for your blog definition of the week? -- sub cs (substitute clean sheet) points.  But Steinsson started his Premier League on fire.  And if Bolton - whom we never bet on or against, unless we do - can hold Wigan... and if Giggs starts for ManU as opposed to Nani...  Well, it's just more fun to have some skin in the game rather than checking the MatchCast at around 80 minutes.  As the MMM (Monday Morning Manager) alluded to, 2-gamers mean you have hope.  And you can go a long way on hope.

What are you hoping for this weekend?  Let's discuss and follow the happenings in this, your matchday open thread.
