I got worked over good this weekend. I made the mistake of checking my team Saturday night at a friends party, clicked log out and walked away. Apparently, the PC did not log me out and someone proceeded to sell all my players. I had CRON, K2, Ballack, Carson, Dempsey, etc all at 3 unit discounts. Yesterday was very painful see my team roster empty and then working out filling it back up with the meager 100 units. My season is officially done.

OUCH!  Some friends!  That's just brutal, and I'm SO SORRY it happened.  If it had been me, I'd still be madder than Shane Long and Robbie Keane put together!

We have a friend who started changing his team after a night of drinking and passed out before filling that last spot.  He woke up the next morning with only ten players on his roster and no points for the week.  And forever more, trading players while drunk and screwing up will be knows as "pulling a Spealman".

There was also someone in the comments last week who sold Torres - I think it was Torres - by accident as their touch pad hit "Sell and Leave Empty" rather than "Sell and Replace".

(And yes, Yahoo! know about the problems with searching and trading players and are improving the game for us.) 

But this... this is just beyond the pale.  Anyone else have a horror story that they'd like to share?

    I pick players who suck on purpose because I suck because I live in America and have never actually watched a soccer game. I just go by what you guys say and not to be mean, that doesn't do much for me.

    First time I played I went with two fullbacks, two wingers, two central defenders, two middies and two center forwards to make a complete 4-4-2. Season didn't go so well.

    A few years back, after returning from an all day friday drinking session I convinced my friend that Michael Carrick (then of WHAM) was going to score loads of points that weekend. So he went about deconstructing his team to accommodate carrick, putting in players such as Jo Tessem (then of southampton I think?). He was top at the time - a few weeks later he was in third. Just to rub it in, Carrick scored the week after he took him out

    Nothing as dramatic as 'friends' clearing my line-up, but committed the cardinal sin of leaving an incomplete roster one week, securing that nice zero score. Being in North America, my deadline is 7AM. I will normally have an XI set the night before. But I usually wake up at 6AM to check any last minute UK footy news to ensure my picks will be playing or get a hint of early game line-ups potentially, and sometimes do last-minute tinkering. Well, in Week 19 I completely overslept and missed the deadline, leaving me with just 10 players and a zero score. BUT the mud in my eye was the line-up I had in there: Ronaldo (3G, 44pts), Tevez (2G, 1A, 31pts), K2 (1G, 16pts), Bentley (17pts) and Kirkland (CS, 11pts). Ugh. That YFF nightmare week still haunts me.
