    • Egypt
    • Cameroon
    • 90+4 There is the final whistle and Egypt have retained their African Cup of Nations title with a 1-0 win over Cameroon
    • 90' There will be four minutes of extra time for Egypt to defend their lead
    • 89' Cameroon continue to push for an equaliser but the Egypt defence are just keeping their defence tight to frustrate their opponents
    • 86' Mbia tries to get Cameroon back in the match but El Hadari comes to collect with safe hands
    • 83' Cameroon appeal for a penalty as Eto'o and Mohamed clash. The referee awards a free kick in favour of Egypt despite Mohamed clearly handling the ball. It was outside the box though so a penalty appeal was always going to be optimistic
    • 80' Geremi surges down the right wing as Cameroon push for an equaliser but El Hadari comes and collects without too much difficulty
    • 76' GOAL EGYPT! 1-0! Substitute Zidan does brilliantly well to chase down Song, after a mistake by the Cameroon centre-back and, after a tussle just inside the box that sees both men end up on the floor, Zidan squares the ball to the waiting Aboutrika who has little difficulty in slotting it past Kameni
    • 72' Zidan with his first shot of the game. But he skews it badly and the ball goes further sideways than it does forward
    • 70' Right, I am going to try and draw a goal by saying this looks like it will be going into extra time as I don't think I could take the tension for another 30 minutes!
    • 66' M'Bami attempts to find Eto'o with pretty much his first touch since coming on but overhits the ball and El Hadari has little trouble in coming for the ball
    • 65' Cameroon substitution: Otto Pfister makes his final substitution bringing on M'Bami in place of Epalle
    • 63' The first yellow card of the match is shown to Atouba for his reckless challenge on Zidan - a challenge that says very emphatically: Welcome to the match, young man!
    • 62' Off the post from the head of Hosni as he meets Aboutriacka's cross unchallenged. Kameni was well beaten that time
    • 60' Egypt substitution: Moteab goes off to be replaced by Zidan
    • 56' A misjudgement by Geremi allows Zaki a chance to run unchallenged at the Cameroon defence. But in the end it is a poor cross and there is no-one anywhere near the ball when he sends it skidding across the area
    • 55' Cameroon substitution: Idrissou comes on for Emana
    • 54' Another stunning save from Kameni, who punches a bullett from Hosni away despite being unsighted until very late
    • 51' Eto'o earns Cameroon a corner but it is a poor one from Emana who sees his cross cleared twice by Hassan
    • 50' Kameni makes another great save from Zaki, although not as tough as some of the chances in the first half, and Eto'o gets his first real chance to run on the counter
    • 47' Eto'o tries to set up the first chance of the second half as he brings a high ball down under control before rolling in forward for Nkong to chase but he finds the ball just out of his reach the chance goes begging
    • 46' Cameroon get the second half underway ...
    • HT Atouba is back out for the second half as the players return to the pitch
    • HT The referee's whistle signals the end of a fractured first half of football with few chances
    • 45+3 Cameroon will play out the last few moments of the half with only 10 men as Atouba limps off the back of the pitch to receive treatment for a right hamstring injury
    • 45' Another Cameroon injury as Epalle is accidentally struck in the head by Moawad's elbow as they both race towards a loose ball
    • 41' Egypt get another free kick in a dangerous area - 30 yards out and right in front of the posts - but Zaki fires his ball over the crossbar
    • 38' Egypt really should be in front as Moteab is played in with a long ball over the top of the defence. Kameni though is the hero for Cameroon, not for the first time, as he makes a stunning save and denies Egypt once more
    • 38' El Hadari has gone down injured having received a blow to the left knee and is receiving treatment. He looks like he's in a fair bit of pain but he's going to continue regardless
    • 37' Eto'o with his first real chance of the game as he charges down the left side of the box and shoots. He pulls the ball just wide of the right post though and Egypt escape
    • 33' A mistake by Fathi leaves Cameroon on the attack but it is all a bit too predictable from Binya and Egypt win the ball back
    • 30' Zaki is receving treatment for a right ankle while Zidan warms up in anticipation on the sidelines. Zaki looks like he will try and continue though
    • 27' Tchato makes a great covering tackle on Zaki after the Egyptian has evaded Song
    • 23' Aboutiacka continues to wreak havoc in the Cameroon box fashioning another chance for himself. Again he shoots over though
    • 20' Down at the other end immediately Aboutriaka heads on into the path of Moteab, who unleashes a bullett from just to the left of the goal. Kameni manages to get a hand to the ball but he can only deflect it into the path of Aboutriaka, who riffles the ball over the cross bar
    • 19' Cameroon produce the first real test for El Hadari as Geremi thumps his free kick from in front of goal towards the right post. El Hadari is equal to the task though and collects
    • 16' Cameroon substitution: Alexandre Song is taken off to be replaced by Gilles Binya. The Arsenal man had heavy strapping on his leg from the start of the match and looked to be struggling
    • 13' Aboutriaka sees a small opening and decides to drill the ball towards the left post from 25 yards out. Kameni is furious with his back four that they allowed the Egyptian to strike from that distance as he scurries across to cover his left post
    • 11' Geremi puts El Hadari under pressure as the Egypt keeper fails to deal with the Cameroon midfielder's cross into the box. He gets enough of a touch to it though to palm it away and is lucky that the ball fails to fall to any of the Cameroon support
    • 9' Moawad is the lastest Egyptian to try his luck from distance. The ball was probably heading just wide of the Cameroon right post but Kameni is taking no chances and gets across to cover regardless
    • 7' Egypt threaten with a free kick in a dangerous position and Moteab thumps the ball goalward and just past the right post
    • 6' Cameroon back on the attack as Epalle tries to find Eto'o on his left with a clever flick on. Too clever as it turns out and Cameroon lose possession
    • 4' Egypt make their first real attack as Aboutriaka snatches the ball from Song and storms up the centre of the pitch. Cameroon recover just in time though and Atouba clears the danger
    • 3' Geremi swings the ball across the box from the right wing to where Eto'o has crept into the area. Eto'o gets his head to the ball but it bounces of Shady and Cameroon are unlucky not to be awarded the corner. A poor decision by the referee
    • 1' Cameroon almost make a dream start to the match as Song races up the left wing for a long ball. But he is narrowly judged to be offside
    • 1' Egypt get the match underway ...
    • 17:55 The teams are out on the pitch and awaiting the national anthems
