    • FT And there is the final whistle - Chelsea move into the final and fully deserved too! Thank you for joining us for our coverage.
    • 90+2 Pizaro is played in for another chances but Howard makes another good save.
    • 90' Anelka comes off - Ben Haim on - very good performance by Anelka again tonight - a class act!
    • 89' Pizarro fires a shot just wide as Ashley Cole comes on for Malouda for the final moments.
    • 88' We are going to have a Chelsea v Tottenham cup final - no sign of anything from Everton.
    • 84' Wright Phillps fires a good drive from distance and Howard has to make a good save.
    • 82' Cole off for Pizarro for Chelsea, while into the book goes Phil Neville.
    • 80' Nuno Valente shows his frustration with a bad tackle and gets a yellow card for his troubles.
    • 79' Everton bring on James Vaughan for Manuel Fernandes. They now have three strikers as opposed to one but they don't look any more like scoring.
    • 76' Belletti has just gone into the book now - as Goodison Park seems like a deflated balloon at the moment. Everton need two goal and it doesn't seem like their is a fan in the ground who believes it will happen.
    • 74' Yellow card for Fernandes for talking too much!
    • 72' Meanwhile, just after the goal, Carsely came off with Anichebe coming on.
    • 71' Great save by Petr Cech to push over an Andy Johnson drive - Everton nearly found a way back into it.
    • 69' GOAL CHELSEA - Brilliant goal from Chelsea, Florent Malouda with a superb long cross field pass that Joe Cole takes down and then fires into the net with some class. Lovely pass, lovely control, lovely finish, lovely goal - Chelsea on the way to Wembley?
    • 66' Makelele is booked for not backing away 10 yards from a free-kick. From that free Cech spills the ball but the referee gives a free out - hard to see what for though.
    • 64' Chelsea now with a little spell - Anelka was almost in again but Lescott stuck a foot out and luckily got the ball and not the man.
    • 62' That little spell will give Everton a little hope that their is life in this game - now Chelsea scramble hard to get another ball away - better from the Toffees.
    • 59' Oh and then Everton try something similar with a free-kick - this time it is laid off to Osman - he makes a mess of his shot but then Jagielka backheels the ball towards goal but again Cech was in the right spot to kick it away.
    • 58' Everton finally show a bit of invention - a quick corner is played to Neville who tries a snap shot and Cech has to bat it way.
    • 57' Ok so dull enough stuff here but check out our site later when the video highlights come in from the Angola v South Africa match. Van Heerden has just scored a CORKER for South Africa to make it 1-1.
    • 55' Chelsea break again - Sidwell plays it off to Cole who then shoots, but Nuno Valente gets his body in the way.
    • 54' Everton could do with bringing on a second striker - nothing is sticking up front - Alex and Carvalho have him in their pockets.
    • 51' Wright-Phillips now looks like he could be through again but Lescott makes a last gasp tackle to clear - Everton need to make a change quick or they could see this slip away.
    • 50' And now Shaun Wright-Phillips a drive from distance - but it goes well wide - still ALL CHELSEA in the early stages of this half.
    • 49' And Anelka nearly gets another shot away as he is found at the back post but the ball gets stuck underneath his feet.
    • 46' OFF THE BAR FROM ANELKA - Cole looked like he was going to shoot but he instead laid it off to Anelka who was in the D just outside the area. The Frenchman tried to curl it into the net and it had Howard beaten but then cannoned off the bar.
    • 46' Ok welcome back folks - second-half is underway - no changes from either side.
    • HT And there is the half time whistle - so far this match is full of sound and fury but signifying nothing. Look at me eh? Quoting Shakespeare - would you find that on other websites? Join us in 15 for the second-half when I may (or may not) reference Nietzsche.
    • 45' A corner for Everton but it is straight at Cech - the Czech goalkeeper seems to have his head in the game even though he bacame a daddy for this first time this morning - Congats to Mr and Ms Cech on their bundle of joy. Future Chelsea goalkeeper? Maybe for the ladies team - they had a daughter.
    • 44' We are going to have one additional minute at the end of this half.
    • 42' Even the crowd have gone a bit quiet - noting really to report here - Chelsea are doing a "professional job" so far.
    • 39' Just for a moment it looked like Anelka would be after Carsley put a boot out which saw the ball fall to the Frenchman in the box - he takes a touch but that tightens the angle and Lescott does enough to clear.
    • 38' Johnson hits the side-netting after a nice ball by Arteta, but the attack was well defended by Alex and Cech also had the situation under control - Everton just lacking in ideas at the moment.
    • 33' Twice in quick succession Everton have given the ball away cheaply - on the second incident Malouda was then able to get a shot away but he fired well over. Still Everton need to do a better job of hanging onto possession.
    • 31' By the way - sorry for the slow updates on our homepage this evening - rest assured our Tech guys are currently working hard to keep their jobs!
    • 29' And then moments later Anelka digs out a low drive while under pressure from two defenders - too straight and not enough power to trouble Howard though.
    • 28' Chelsea now starting to win the possession battle - Joe Cole has just thrown himself at a cross from Anelka but Lescott gets in first to head away.
    • 26' The tackles are starting to fly in now - it is becoming more and more of a psychical contest.
    • 25' Surprise, surprise, the first booking of the night goes to Lee Carsley for a heavy challeng on Shaun Wright-Phillips.
    • 23' If you are wondering about Michael Ballack the reason he is out is because of a calf-strain.
    • 20' Andy Johnson gets a little sight at goal just outside of the box but drags his shot well wide.
    • 19' Anelka nearly bursts in behind the defence but he was just offside - the pass from Malouda was overhit anyway.
    • 16' Everton now starting to get on top a little bit but over 70% of the play so far has been played in the middle of the pitch.
    • 13' This one is building up nicely - Everton seem to have settled into the contest now.
    • 10' SO CLOSE FROM EVERTON- from an Everton corner Lescott rises highest (although it looked like he pushed Alex) he gets down a good header but Cech is there to push it away - Johnson was lurking too though and he could have turned it in with a bit more luck.
    • 8' Belletti is allowed to move forward without a challenge. Carsley's only concern was to keep from shooting with his right foot so Belletti tried to curl one with his left - not a bad effort but over the bar.
    • 7' First little spell of Everton pressure but Alex does very well to head away an Arteta cross.
    • 5' Everton look a little nervy in these opening exchanges - Chelsea are passing the ball just a little better.
    • 3' Chelsea do the early pressing - first Alex fires a free from 35 yards straight at the wall, but the attack continues, Anelka is found with his back to goal in the box - he lays it off to Wright-Phillips and he fires a shot that is blocked away by Jagielka
    • 1' And we are underway...Everton in Blue, Chelsea in glow in the dark yellow.
    • - Bad news for Steven Pienaar fans - South Africa have just gone 1-0 down to Angola - you can also follow that match in LIVE comments here now - or you can stay with me - just about to get underway here.
    • - If you pop your head out the window you might be able to hear the Goodison crowd they are that loud. You would be hard hearing the Chelsea fans though - they sold just over 2,000 seats when they were offered 6,000. I'm saying nothing but you do the math!
    • - Out in Africa we have for Everton: Yakubu, Yobo and Pienaar (who is playing at the moment for South Africa) - for Chelsea - Essien, Mikel, Kalou and Drogba are all missing. Still lots of quality out there.
    • - Here is a nice little stat for you - David Moyes have never beaten Chelsea as Everton manager - that will have to change tonight if the Toffees want to make it to the "new" Wembley for the first time (it is a lovely stadium by the way if you have never been - enjoy Tottenham fans!)
    • - No Michael Ballack tonight - he didn't travel to London - more on that when we get it. Steve Sidwell comes in while Wayne Bridge is preferred to Ashley Cole.
    • - Team news: Everton bring in Manuel Fernandes for Tony Hibbert who drops to the bench - Phil Neville will move to right back with Fernandes coming into midfield.
    • - Welcome to a jumping Goodison Park for this second-leg semi-final tie. Who will join Spurs at Wembley? Chelsea have a 2-1 advantage but Everton have those passionate fans behind them!
