    • 78' A great run from Degen, he seeks out Voronin in space but the ball is just too strong. We could be in for a bright final 15 minutes.
    • 77' Cheers from the Liverpool fans as £20m man Aquillani is into the fray for Plessis.
    • 76' Arsenal bring on Watt and Randall for Bendtner and Eastmond.
    • 75' An awful defensive header from Eduardo drops to Spearing on the edge of the box, but he slices his shot wide.
    • 74' Liverpool throw on Benayoun for Ngog. He could unlock the door.
    • 72' A fantatci free kick is whipped in by Eduardo and Liverpool do well to scramble the ball clear.

    • 63' Arsenal have not put this to bed yet and Liverpool are seeing a little more of the ball.
    • 59' Slick play from Arsenal, they are queueing up to have a go. Eduardo is crowded out and Ramsey sees a shot charged down.
    • 55' CHANCE! Voronin and Degen exchange passes, the ball comes back to the former who flashes a shot a foot wide of the far post.
    • 54' Great play from Arsenal, Nasri shows great feet to secure some space on the right and get in a cross that goes right across goal.
    • 52' Arsenal surrendered the initiative after taking the lead in the first half. Will they learn their lesson?
    • 50' GOAL ARSENAL! Arsenal spring forward in the blink of an eye, Merida slips a pass in to Ramsey who allows Bendtner to take over, he shifts the ball out of his feet to create a yard of space and hammers his shot into the roof of the net.
    • 48' Sloppy defending from Arsenal, the ball drops to Spearing on the edge of the box but he slices his shot well wide.
    • 48' Ngog whips in a dangerous cross from the right and Silvestre does well to flick the ball clear of danger.
    • 46' Liverpool get the second half underway.
    • 45' Half-time and it's been a cracking game so far. All square at the break.
    • 45' Plessis, buoyed by the signing of a new deal, shoots from distance but the ball flies wide.
    • 43' An almighty scamble as Cavalleri drops a cross, a host of players take swings at the ball it eventually falls to Bendtner who shoots straight at the keeper. Relief for Cavalleri. (It does say Reina is in goal, but he isn't we've got technical issues!)
    • 42' Arsenal break forward again, Nasri slips the ball into the path of Eastmond but his cross is well cut out by Degen.
    • 36' Arsenal flow forward, Eduardo flicks the ball to Nasri who keeps it moving to Ramsey who stabs his shot over the onrushnig keeper but Liverpool get men back to clear.
    • 31' All of a sudden Liverpool have a spring in their step and a timely tackle from Senderos halts Babel from racing into the box.
    • 26' GOAL LIVERPOOL! And another cracker. The ball breaks to Insua on the bounce 25 yards out, the full back chests it down before firing a dipping shot over Fabianski and in. What a strike.
    • 24' GREAT KEEPING! Liverpool whip a free kick into the box at pace, Fabianski comes through a crowd of players to claim the ball. That's what you want from your keeper.
    • 23' Bright move from Liverpool, Babel lays the ball off for Voronin but he takes a touch too many and Senderson sticks out a leg to make the tackle.
    • 19' GOAL ARSENAL! And it's nothing more than Arsenal deserve. Voronin gives it away again, Merida picks it up 20 yards out and thumps it home off the near post. That's his first goal for the club and what a way to get it.
    • 17' GOAL, NO! Brilliant stuff from Arsenal, one-touch passing between Ramsay, Eduardo and Bendtner sees the Dane break clear, he looks certain to score but flicks the ball to his right for a team-mate and Cavalleri gathers. It was brilliant to watch.
    • 16' Voronin gives the ball away and he is clearly struggling with a leg problem. I think he'll be off soon.
    • 15' A moment of alarm for Fabianski as a poor first touch offers a chance to Voronin but the keeper just clears the ball before the Liverpool forward can nip in.
    • 11' Nasri takes the free kick himself but flips the ball over the wall and wide. A big groan greets it, the crowd expected more. So did I!
    • 10' Great feet from Nasri and he is unceremoniously dumped on the floor by Skrtel.
    • 9' SUBLIME! And then ridiculous. A glorious backheel from Ngog allows Degen to surge in and get a sight of goal, but he shoots wide with the outside of his boot. It was a cracking move.

  5. You know I love watching football and rugby but when I read the majority of the comments sent in I think I prefer rugby. Rugby supporters do not feel the need to slag each off. They can even sit with each other and both sets of supporters enjoy the game and make it a fun day. Sadly this does apply to football does it? The only two sets of fans who appear to be able to have good old fashioned banter between them are Liverpool and Everton. Shame the rest cannot follow suit.
