    Pools are not a wee team­ mate...we are if anything over the years­ underachievers.We play so well and fail at the last­ hurdles so many times since the 70's its­ annoying.

    Our fan base is is strong but small....but­ this is because we are not a big town to start­ with.

    So we simply will never have the financial clout­ to reach any significant heights.Even with a steven­ Gibson pumping money into the club 6-7000 fans would­ always be our maximum gate even if we built a ground­ capable of holding 60,000.

    We are and cannot be­ anything other than a feeder club,and we have had some­ talent at pools over the years.

    Put it like this­ ....not one person living in Hartlepool is shocked when­ we beat Bigger clubs...we expect them to such is the­ quality of our sides over the years....for fcuks sake­ we could hold our own against great leeds sides never­ mind the bunch of @#$% Leeds are­ atm....Sunderland/Newcastle/Boro would all rather play­ each other than pools...we always smack them off the­ park
