- 87' Danny Welbeck gets the ball in a threatening position in the Spurs box, but when he looks up there was nobody to pass to. But he wins a corner nonetheless...
- 86' Dawson plays a long ball into the United box and Cruoch leaps high to get his head on it. But his header from 15 yards is comfortably wide of goal.
- 85' United fans are chearing every pass now with the prospect of a Spurs comeback seeming less and less likely.
- 82' Hutton gives the ball away sloppily and Park puts a dangerous cross into the Spurs six-yard box that narrowly misses every one.

- 76' Neville flings a long ball forward for Park to chase, but the wideman cannot get anyway near it and it bounces behind for a goalkick. Neville shakes his head and you hope it was at his own pass and not at Park.
- 75' The wind seems to have gone out of the Spurs sails a little bit... United have taken the sting out of the match.
- 73' Bentley delivers a good corner into the United box and Kuszczak flaps at it... luckily for him Vidic makes a fantastic defensive header to clear the danger.
- 72' Bentley tries to get back onto his left foot, but tumbles under a soft challenge from De Laet... referee says nothing doing.
- 70' United seem to have gained a bit of an impetus from their substitutions... they seem to be keeping the ball much better now.
- 68' Defoe flicks the ball past Vidic and then looks to beat the United defender for pace. Vidic is no slouch though and Defoe is penalsied for a tug on the defender.
- 66' Welbeck has a sniff of goal but Bassong snaps in quickly to make an important challenge on the edge of the area.

- 45' United play some keep-ball as the half draws to a close and then suddenly attack quickly down the right with Obertan. He plays a cross into the six yard box that just evades Berbatov sliding in at the far post.
- 43' Tottenham look to press down the left with Lennon, before switching it to the other flank with Bentley. He cuts inside and hits a tame shot well wide of goal.
- 42' Bale finds Defoe in the box who is stopped from getting a shot away by Brown, the ball cannons back to the striker who is again thwarted by the United defender.
- 41' Obertan looks to play a quick one-two with Berbatov but the latter mis-reads his run and hits it out of play.
- 39' That was a bit of a sucker punch for Spurs having controlled much of the game, but United will take some beating now.

United play the ball around neatly on the edge of the area and Welbeck tees up Gibson who curls it into the top corner... super finish!- 36' Robbie Keane hopelessly mis-hits a pass into touch after showing a good touch to bring the ball under control... sloppy.

- 29' The game has developed a scrappy feel to it as both sides take it in turns to hoof speculative balls upfield... United are perhaps a little lucky to be in the lead here as Spurs are certainly playing the better of the football.
