    • Tottenham Hotspur
    • 90+3' It's full-time at Old Trafford where United have booked their place in the semi-finals with a 2-0 victory.
    • 90+2' Huddlestone flings a long ball forward in an effort to find Aaron Lennon, but it flies into touch.
    • 90+1 Macheda fires in a shot into the side netting! United play the ball around the edge of the area before the Italian spots a shooting opportunity and lets fly. Just wide.
    • 90' We are into stoppage time at Old Trafford...
    • 89' Bentley swings another cross into the box but Vidic leaps high to clear... he has had a really good game tonight, the United defender... back to his best.
    • 87' Danny Welbeck gets the ball in a threatening position in the Spurs box, but when he looks up there was nobody to pass to. But he wins a corner nonetheless...
    • 86' Dawson plays a long ball into the United box and Cruoch leaps high to get his head on it. But his header from 15 yards is comfortably wide of goal.
    • 85' United fans are chearing every pass now with the prospect of a Spurs comeback seeming less and less likely.
    • 82' Hutton gives the ball away sloppily and Park puts a dangerous cross into the Spurs six-yard box that narrowly misses every one.
    • 81' And United make another change with Anderson giving way for young Serbian international Zoran Tosic.
    • 80' Hutton flings a cross into the United box but Carrick gets back to clear and United break quickly down the right.
    • 79' Hutton quickly becomes the second player to enter the book with a late challenge on Welbeck.
    • 78' Brown is off the pitch with waht looks like a cut after that brave defensive header... I'm sure he'll be back on soon.
    • 77' De Laet becomes the first player to enter the book with a late challenge on the left. Bale flings in the freekick but Brown manages to clear.
    • 76' Neville flings a long ball forward for Park to chase, but the wideman cannot get anyway near it and it bounces behind for a goalkick. Neville shakes his head and you hope it was at his own pass and not at Park.
    • 75' The wind seems to have gone out of the Spurs sails a little bit... United have taken the sting out of the match.
    • 73' Bentley delivers a good corner into the United box and Kuszczak flaps at it... luckily for him Vidic makes a fantastic defensive header to clear the danger.
    • 72' Bentley tries to get back onto his left foot, but tumbles under a soft challenge from De Laet... referee says nothing doing.
    • 70' United seem to have gained a bit of an impetus from their substitutions... they seem to be keeping the ball much better now.
    • 68' Defoe flicks the ball past Vidic and then looks to beat the United defender for pace. Vidic is no slouch though and Defoe is penalsied for a tug on the defender.
    • 66' Welbeck has a sniff of goal but Bassong snaps in quickly to make an important challenge on the edge of the area.
    • 65' Robbie Keane makes way for Peter Crouch... not a popular choice it seems with the Spurs fans who boo and then sing 'There's only one Keano'... what a lovely welcome for Crouch!
    • 63' Bale again beats Neville and flings a cross to the far post, but Bentley's header is wide of the target.
    • 61' United make a double change with federico Macheda and Michael Carrick replacing Obertan and Berbatov.
    • 60' United have a rare forray into the Tottenham half and Gomes is forced to make a good save from Welbeck after Bassong played a backpass short.
    • 58' Neville looks so far off the pace tonight that Spurs are targetting him at every opportunity.
    • 57' Bentley misses a great chance to bring Spurs back into the game. It's Bale's turn to leave Neville scrambling and he tees up Bentley whose side-footed shot is parried by Kuszczak.
    • 56' Lennon again leaves Neville floundering but his cross is cleared by De Laet at full stretch in the six-yard box.
    • 54' Spurs are having plenty of possession in midfield but so far they are finding it difficult to break down the stubborn United defence.
    • 52' Alan Hutton is fed in behind by Bentley, but just as he goes to cross both the Spurs strikers are static and United easily clear.
    • 51' Bentley miscontrols a long ball forward which trickles into touch. It hasn't really been his night as yet.
    • 50' Peter Crouch is spied warming up on the touchline... if the score stays like this, it surely won't be long before the big man makes an appearance.
    • 49' Berbatov looks to cut inside the Spurs box and manages to get a shot away that is deflected behind for a corner off Bassong.
    • 48' Lennon again takes on Gary Neville and leaves the United full back for dead. His cross almost finds Defoe in the middle but United clear.
    • 47' Spurs made a half-time change with Huddlestone coming on for Palacios.
    • 46' And we are underway again at Old Trafford...
    • 45+1' That's half-time at Old Trafford - 2-0 to United at the break.
    • 45' United play some keep-ball as the half draws to a close and then suddenly attack quickly down the right with Obertan. He plays a cross into the six yard box that just evades Berbatov sliding in at the far post.
    • 43' Tottenham look to press down the left with Lennon, before switching it to the other flank with Bentley. He cuts inside and hits a tame shot well wide of goal.
    • 42' Bale finds Defoe in the box who is stopped from getting a shot away by Brown, the ball cannons back to the striker who is again thwarted by the United defender.
    • 41' Obertan looks to play a quick one-two with Berbatov but the latter mis-reads his run and hits it out of play.
    • 39' That was a bit of a sucker punch for Spurs having controlled much of the game, but United will take some beating now.
    • 37' Another fantastic goal from Gibson! United play the ball around neatly on the edge of the area and Welbeck tees up Gibson who curls it into the top corner... super finish!
    • 36' Robbie Keane hopelessly mis-hits a pass into touch after showing a good touch to bring the ball under control... sloppy.
    • 35' Berbatov tries to release Welbeck with a clever flick but Spurs get back to clear the danger.
    • 34' Hutton fires in a cross from the right after a sustained spell of Spurs possession but it is comfortably cleared at the near post.
    • 33' Great chance for United goes begging! A cross from the left finds Park unmarked in the middle but he sees it late and stabs his effort well wide.
    • 31' United apply a rare bit of pressure and De Laet feeds Anderson into the left-hand channel. But Gomes is out quickly to deflect the ball behind off the United man for a goal-kick.
    • 30' Keane has a chance for Spurs after being fed through the middle by Defoe but Vidic twice gets back to make good challenges and deny the Ireland striker.
    • 29' The game has developed a scrappy feel to it as both sides take it in turns to hoof speculative balls upfield... United are perhaps a little lucky to be in the lead here as Spurs are certainly playing the better of the football.
    • 27' Vidic gives the ball away sloppily but Keane repays the favour and United break quickly through Obertan.
    • 26' United play a spot of keep-ball in midfield but are forced back to Kuszczak who clears long upfield.
    • 25' Spurs have a half-hearted penalty appeal turned down as Alan Hutton bursts into the box before going down under a challenge from Vidic... referee waves play-on.
    • 24' A long ball forward almost allows Defoe to run in behind the United defence but Kuszczak is out quickly to gather.
    • 23' Bentley's cross from the freekick is woefully overhit and goes behind for a goal kick.
    • 22' De Laet dives into a silly challenge on Bentley on the right to hand Spurs a freekick in a dangerous area...
    • 21' Palacios sells Bentley short with a pass and United look to break quickly...
    • 20' Defoe misses glorious chance for Spurs. Gareth Bale found him unmarked at the far post with a great cross but his effort from six yards is blocked by Ritchie de Laet.
    • 18' Gibson plays a pass down the right to Gary Neville that Keith Andrews can only dream of. Sadly Neville can't control it and it goes behind.
    • 17' That was a fantastic effort from Gibson who certainly has a good shot on him... and to think Keith Andrews is keeping him out of the Ireland side!
    • 16' Goal for United! Darron Gibson fires United into the lead with a stinging drive from 20 yards that nestles in the bottom corner with Gomes well beaten.
    • 15' Lennon skips past Gary Neville who brings him clattering to the ground and is called for a chat with the referee.
    • 13' Welbeck tries to turn the ball around the corner for Obertan but hits it so hard he almost takes the winger's head off!
    • 12' Anderson is robbed in midfield by Palacios and Spurs break quickly through Bentley. He feeds it to Jenas who tries to place it in the top corner but his shot is high and wide.
    • 11' Berbatov is inches away from feeding Welbeck through the middle before Hutton intervenes with a timely interception.
    • 10' Defoe is penalised for an innocuous challenge on Wes Brown just as Robbie Keane looked in a good position to break. If the first five minutes belonged to United, the last five have been all Spurs.
    • 9' The corner, however, is straight into the grateful arms of Kuszczak.
    • 8' Bale shows a clean pair of heels to Obertan and Neville down the Spurs left before winning a corner... good run from the Welshman.
    • 7' Defoe sens in a rasping drive from outside the area that Kuszczak does well to save low to his right.
    • 6' Spurs have their first glimpse of goal as Lennon skips down the left before sending a low cross into the box that United just manage to clear away from the rapidly approaching David Bentley.
    • 5' United are applying all the early pressure as they again look to attack down the right before Gary Neville controls a high ball with his arm which is spotted by the referee.
    • 4' Gibson tries his luck with a shot from 25 yards after being teed up by Berbatov but miscues terribly and the ball goes well, well wide.
    • 3' Obertan combines well with Berbatov and Welbeck as United threaten down the left but a misplaced pass allows Spurs to steal in and counter.
    • 2' And there's an early chance for United as Anderson pinches the ball in midfield before surging forward and driving a shot just a few feet wide from just outside the box.
    • - And we are underway in the first half...
    • - Right, the teams are slowly making their way towards the pitch with the Stone Roses blaring out over the tannoy... it is absolutely bucketing down out there.
    • - So that's a rare start for Ritchie De Laet for United - better de-late than never - while Nani doesn't even make the bench... are his days at Old Trafford numbered?
    • - And Harry Redknapp has plumped for the following: Gomes, Hutton, Bassong, Dawson, Bale, Lennon, Jenas, Palacios, Bentley, Defoe, Keane. Subs: Walker, Huddlestone, Pavlyuchenko, Crouch, Naughton, Corluka, Rose
    • - Right the teams are in and here's how United will line-up: Kuszczak, Neville, Brown, Vidic, De Laet, Park, Gibson, Anderson, Obertan, Welbeck, Berbatov. Subs: Amos, Owen, Giggs, Tosic, Carrick, Fletcher, Macheda
    • - Both Sir Alex Ferguson and Harry Redknapp have promised to play a few of the fringe players and we will have the confirmed line-ups for you very shortly.
    • - Welcome to tonight's live coverage of Manchester United's Carling Cup quarter final clash with Tottenham, which could just turn out to be a cracker!
    • - Tottenham travel to holders Manchester United with revenge on their minds after having lost last year's final on penalties.
