  1. Chris, by my reckoning a big club should be in the­ Premier League...high ground capacity doesn't mean­ a big club. Arsenal are a big club, yet until the­ Emirates stadium existed their ground's capacity­ was only 38,419. Only about 6000 more than Southampton,­ and they are now league one.

    Keep watching. a few defeats and we will see Newcstle­ back to small crowds. Think about your population in­ the North tyneside Conurbation and look at your crowds­ as a percentage of that. I am not too old but can­ remember NUFC crowd of les than 8000 for a league­ game,
    Look it up. Late sixties, early seventies when­ other clubs were getting big gates.
