90+1' The final whistle goes, and Manchester United complete an awesome European display that surely sees them through to the semi-finals.
89' United soak up Roma pressure and release Tevez. The Argentinian holds it up and crosses for RONALDO TO VOLLEY... Over the bar! A good strike, and it would have been a great goal.
84' That's Rooney's last effort of the match, as he is brought off for Carlos Tevez.- 83' Ronaldo is away down the left and draws both Mexes and Panucci across before slipping the ball in for ROONEY... He tried the delicate chip past Doni but it didn't work.
- 81' Mancini brings the ball forward again and STRIKES FROM THE EDGE OF THE BOX... His effort canons off the leg of Evra and United tidy up. Roma are giving it a go, but United look nothing but comfortable.
- 80' Cicinho tries to make it happen for Roma and wins a corner. O'Shea is first to the Brazilian's set piece, and play eventually results in a goal kick. The travelling United support are in full voice now.

- 60' Guily gets the ball right away and powers down the right and fires a ball in across goal that Van der Sar dives to collect - and almost gets a face full of boot in the process!
- 59' Roma respond to United's defensive switch with a fearsome offensive one - Taddei is replaced by Ludovic Guily.
- 56' Owen Hargreaves is ready to come on to try and control a reinvigorated Roma. He replaces the booked Anderson.

48' Ronaldo is scampering away towards goal free as a bird and no wonder, he's offside. However, replays show that Tonetto was playing him onside! A lucky escape for Roma!- 46' Roma have to attack now after losing that away goal, and it's the home side that get the second half underway.
- 45+3' That's the last action of the half, and United go into half time with a lead that, on the balance of play, they deserve.
- 45+3' Not to be outdone, Pizarro petulantly trips Ronaldo and gets his own yellow card.
- 45+2' Anderson hauls down Cassetti from behind, and goes into the book. It's certainly not the first foul for the Brazilian, and he rightly goes into the book.
- 43' Rooney has been all over the place in this match. This time he pops up at left-back to hold up Cassetti! An all-action display that is so necessary in a match like this.
- 42' Vucinic sneaks past Ferdinand and evades Carrick at the far post and SHOOTS... Knocked wide of the far post with the outside of his boot!
- 40' The Poruguese stays down though after clashing with a defender on the way through. After a moment he is up and will continue.
- 39' United have men forward again, and Rooney spreads the ball out to Scholes who chips a cross back in FOR CRISTIANO RONALDO TO HEAD IN!!! He attacked that cross with real venom to power the ball past Doni!
- 38' United have men forward as Rooney holds the ball up for Scholes, who loses possession and Roma can break! Ferdinand beats Vucinic to the long ball forward and heads calmly back to Van der Sar.
- 36' Tonetto swings a cross in from the byline and Evra glances it out for a corner. Pizarro's corner is cleared at the second time of asking but Roma retain possession. The Italians have taken the initiative in this game.
- 35' Vucinic runs up against the newly-inroduced O'Shea, but Ferdinand dives in to cut out an excellent ball that was bound for the Roma striker! That was a vital interception.
- 34' The free kick is blasted in by Pizarro but doesn't beat the wall.
- 32' John O'Shea is stripping off and will replace Vidic as soon as play stops again. In the meantime Mancini wins a free kick from Anderson out on the left. O'Shea comes on before they have to defend the set piece.

Over the bar! A good effort from the Montenegran!

- 25' Evra plays a ball inside for SCHOLES TO SHOOT.. The shot form the edge of the box was crowded out by a host of Roma players.
- 23' Pizarro lifts a great ball out wide that Cassetti volleys back across goal, but there is nobody there to get on the end of it. That was a great cross, in behind the entire back four.
- 21' United win a free kick form around 45 yards out and, incredibly, Ronaldo looks like he's going to shoot. He steps up and STRIKES... The ball swerved well wide of the target. With the form he's in, you can believe he will try anything, but that was a waste of possession.
- 20' Vucinic chases a ball over the top, but Rio Ferdinand muscles him off the ball at the byline. That looks like the key duel in this match for United.
- 18' Ronaldo plays Rooney up on the left wing. Rooney turns inside and squares to ball across for ANDERSON TO SHOOT... WAY over the target! He can do a lot of things, but the Brazilian is certainly no marksman!
- 17' Ronaldo is penalised for a foul on Taddei, and the Portuguese is not happy. Is he going to go missing on another big European night?
- 16' The corner swings in and is met by PANNUCCI... Headed over the bar! The first chance of the game falls to the experienced full-back.
- 15' Ronaldo gets his first chance to really open up, but Cassetti stops him in his tracks. Roma break forward from that and win a corner.
- 12' The whistles are starting to go up around the Stadio Olimpico as Roma's fans start to get impatient. Carrick tries the find Evra down the wing but his pass skids off the pitch and out of the Frenchman's reach.
- 10' United are finding each other well in midfield, making Roma chase for the ball and silencing the crowd.
- 7' Aquilani is sent flying in midfield but the referee gives the advantage. Taddei tries to find Vucinic but Vidic calmly tidies up. A high-tempo start from both sides, but no chances yet.
- 3' Pizarro slips a ball through for Vucinic... Again Ferdinand stands strong to block him off.
