- 87' Neuer dives low to punch away a good cross from Sylvinho with Henry lurking.

- 70' Great stuff from Pander as he skips past two players on the left and before checking a good ball back to Ernst. The midfielder dragged a poor shot that Asamoah nearly turned in. The linesman's flag went up but Asamoah was level.

- 64' But now Barca have had a few little counter attacks - Expect to see Asamoah make way pretty soon - he looks very tired.

- 22' Westermann is now tripped about 30 yards out - and Schalke have another chance. Pander tries a shot this time but it is off the head of a Barca man in the wall and out for a corner.
- 20' Free-kick for Schalke 35 yards out and a little to the right - Pander decides to use is as a chance to put in a cross - Westermann uses his backheel to flick it on and Altintop nearly gets on the end of it but it goes wide.
- 19' Rafinha and Asamoah try a one-two but the return pass from Asamoah is overhit and that sort of sums up Schalke's night so far.
- 17' Schalke have a "shot" on target - it is Kuranyi from all of 30 yards but it is a poor, straight drive that Valdes saves with ease.
- 15' Rafinha is one player who is having a tough start - he has to take some blame for the goal - he really should not have let Henry get in behind him so easily.
- 14' Schalke are offering very little here. You would expect a lot more urgency in a Champions League quarter-final but they look very flat.

Barca have a deserved lead - Henry on the left breaks the offside trap and runs onto a lovely ball from Iniesta - his sidefoot shot is not great but Neuer spills it - and an off balance Henry is then able to poke it across to Bojan who taps in from close range.- 10' After 10 minutes Rijkaard will be happy with this. Barca dominating possession and Schalke look nervy and tentative - they are not putting enough pressure on the visitors.
- 7' First chance of the night falls to Iniesta - patient build-up from Barca sees Xavi slip a great ball into the little midfielder - he then gets there first but Neuer rushed out well and was able to save from close range. The ball looked as if it would drop to Bojan and he then falls to the ground looking for a penalty. Nothing doing there though. Schlake pass it out uncomfortably but the danger has passed.
- 6' Barca winning the possession battle early on - and they will be happy enough to just play it around as they are doing.
- 4' Ernst is perhaps a little bit lucky to escape being booked after sliding into a tackle.
- 4' Barca, who are wearing orange tonight - have Henry playing very wide on the left - the Frenchman won't be too happy with that.
- 3' Rafinha runs down the right and fires in a decent ball but not enough bodies in the box and it goes wide.
- 1' Very slow start to the match with Barcelona noticeably trying to take a bit of fizz out of things, but it will take a lot to quieten these Schalke fans.
