Fenerbahce through after thriller
Fenerbahce have booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League beating Sevilla 3-2 on penalties in a thriller at the Sanchez Pizjuan. More

- 2-3 SAVED! 2-3! Alves fires the ball just to the right of Volkan, who dives the right way and saves it to send Fenerbahce into the quarter-finals of the Champions League
- 2-3 SCORED! 2-3 Fenerbahce! Kezman smashes the ball high and down the middle while Palop dives to his right
- 2-2 SAVED! 2-2! Maresco goes for power trying to slam the ball into the middle of the goal but Volkan gets his big frame in the way and saves it
- 2-2 SCORED! 2-2! Aurelio waits for Palop to make his mind up and dive to his left before thumping the ball to the left and into the back of the net
- 2-1 SCORED! 2-1 Sevilla! Dragutinovic slams his shot confidently into the top right hand corner of the net after sending Volkan the wrong way

- 88' Boral is brought down by Navas on the left wing and earns his side another free kick. The chance does not result in a shot on goal but Renato concedes a corner
- 87' Alves whips the ball in from the right, Kanoute heads on from the centre and it is left to Renato at the far post, who attempts to get a tricky shot back across goal. Volkan is left scampering across but the ball drifts wide of the near post and out of play
- 84' There is a lot more energy about the Fenerbahce players just now than there is about the Sevilla players although Alves earns his side a corner on the right

Deivid's first shot takes Palop out of contention as it bounces off the post leaving the Spaniard on his back skidding into the corner of the goal, the ball bounces kindly back to Deivid who makes no mistake a second time and thumps it into the back of the net- 78' Renato's first contribution to the game is to hack down Aurelio and give away a dangerous free kick

- 74' It's a cracking free kick from Alves, looking to repeat his first half feat. Volkan fails to move at all but, luckily for him, the ball drifts about a yard wide of the right post

- 41' GOAL SEVILLA! 3-1! Kanoute gives Sevilla the perfect lift just before the break. It's a great turn from Kanoute as he cushions Alves' cross on his chest before firing the volley towards the goal. The ball does take a deflection off Gokhan, which wrong-foots Volkan, who is forced to watch from the ground as the ball whizzs into the back of the right hand corner of the net
- 37' Fabiano with a terrific free kick bending the ball towards the far post. Volkan was no-where near it once more but the ball just drifts wide, much to Fabiano's disbelief, and Fenerbahce narrowly escape
- 36' Edu is the latest Fenerbahce player to concede a dangerous free kick just outside the area after hacking Fabiano down
- 34' Selchuk almost decieves the Sevilla defensive line and keeper suddenly trying his luck from 5m outside the box. Palop recovers in time to collect the ball but there are signs that another small lapse in concentration from Sevilla and Fenerbahce could get themselves right back in this match
- 30' Capal is causing Fenerbahce huge problems on the left wing as the ball falls to him and he slips past his man Gokhan with ease before firing in a cross. This time though Fenerbahce centre-back Edu is in place to head the ball away to safety
- 29' Fenerbahce's free kick though is a hugely wasted opportunity missing all heads in the box and dribbling through for Palop to collect
- 28' Escude brings down Alex about 30 metres out slightly to the left of goal conceeding a dangerous free kick in the process
- 25' Yet another mistake by Volkan sees a clearance drop right at the feet of Kanoute who thumps the ball back in the direction of the goal. His first time shot though is badly timed and the ball ends up well wide ... about 5 metres wide to be precise!

The shot is straight at Volkan but the keeper still struggles to contain it. Lucky for him there are no Sevilla players close enough to tap it in and he collects the spill just in time

Aurelio fires the ball into the area where it falls to the unmarked Deivid, who slaps the ball through a crowd of players, into the back of the net. Not a huge amount the unsighted Palop could do about that

- 18' Wederson conceeds the first corner of the match. Jesus Navas will be the one to take with Fabiano the target. Fabiano's header does go towards the goal but it catches a deflection on the way and drops on to the top netting. Lucky for Volkan as he was completely stranded
- 16' Lugano decides to try his luck from distance, with Fenerbahce needing a boost having barely got the ball into their own half so far let alone had a shot. Palop collects the ball with ease despite it clearly drifting wide
- 14' This time Alves plays the ball in towards the far post but with the intention of finding the head of one of his teammates. But Volkan finally collects a ball and staves off the danger from Poulson's header
- 13' Gokhan brings Capal down on the left wing again in pretty much the exact same spot and a minute ago. This time he does it with a tug of the shirt and earns himself a yellow card for his troubles
- 12' Alves is going to go for it once more and fires the ball towards the far corner but there is no support there to keep the ball in and it is just too high and wide to go in without help
- 12' Gokhan clips the back of Capal's ankles 25 yards out to the left of the goal and Sevilla will have a third free kick
- 9' GOAL SEVILLA! 2-0! Voklan is having an absolute shocker as Keita thumps the ball into the back of the net. It's from an almost identical spot to Alves' goal once again with Keita firing a bullett into the top centre of the net. It's Volkan's mistake again though that costs Fenerbahce as he nonchalantly jumps up to the saveable shot and just attempts to palm it away, but only succeeds in turning it into the back of the net
- 7' Alves steps up again fancying his chances with a shot from only 10 yards further back than the last time ... but this time he fires the ball over the cross bar. Not by much though!
- 7' Sevilla might have a chance for a second goal here as Fabiano is brought down by Deivid again in a very similar spot to Alves' goal
- 5' GOAL SEVILLA! 1-0! It's a solid free kick from Alves, about 25 yards out, but the goal comes from a shocking goalkeeper error by Volkan who gets behind the ball but palms it into the back of his own net. What a shocker!!
- 4' Selcuk receives the first yellow of the night and gives away a very dangerous free kick just outside the area after he losses the ball to Keita in front of goal and tugs the Sevilla midfielder back
- 2' Youngster Capal is down for the second time already after a rough tackle from Deivid. He's clutching the back of his left thigh but it looks like it was more the way he fell than any lasting damage
