    • 90+3' The full-time whistle is blown and Celtic crash out of the Champions League yet again after another away defeat. Heart-breaking after a game which they deserved to win.
    • 90+2' The entire Celtic team are in the box for another corner, which Glenn Loovens heads wide. It was a poor contact and it all looks to be over now.
    • 90 A terrific inswinging cross from the substitute Maloney is very nearly turned in by Sheridan, but he can't quite get a touch. Boruc is up in the Aalborg box for the corner now.
    • 89' Three added minutes to follow in this match and Gordon Strachan brings on Shaun Maloney for Mark Wilson in his last throw of the dice.
    • 89' How cruel a defeat would be for Celtic in a game which they have dominated. There was nothing Caldwell could have done.
    • 87' GOAL! Another disaster for Celtic as Johansson's hopeful cross is parried by Boruc and rebounds off Gary Caldwell's thigh into the net - very unlucky.
    • 84' Stephen McManus mis-times his jump when heading clear Caca's cross, triggering a rash decision from Boruc who charges out of his goal and is nearly left stranded, but Risgaard can't finish.
    • 82' Scott Brown, who has been his usual combative, feisty self tonight, makes two strong challenges to win back possession for Celtic and they continue to attack.
    • 80' Patrick Kristensen comes on for Aalborg in place of Martin Pedersen.
    • 79' Celtic continue to press with Aalborg seemingly more content with a point than their visitors. The Danish side are looking dangerous on the counter-attack, however.
    • 77' Scott McDonald scraps for possession inside the Aalborg area with the ball falling for Scott Brown on the volley, but the midfielder gets under it and it flies over the bar.
    • 76' Don't forget, if either side loses here tonight they will be eliminated from the competition. The game has suddenly gone up three gears in intensity.
    • 75' Celtic immediately return to their pressing game which has been so notably absent since Barry Robson's goal.
    • 73' GOAL! And it's disaster for Celtic as Caca is not closed down and his shot is deflected and loops over Boruc. Celtic punished for their failure to prevent the shot being taken.
    • 71' Nakamura drives a shot from the edge of the Aalborg box with real power, but it drifts just past Zaza's far post.
    • 69' Andreas Johansson has been booked for remonstrating over the time Celtic were taking over their substitution.
    • 68' It won't surprise you to hear that Georgios Samaras has been finally put out of his misery now, replaced by Cillian Sheridan. From the other bench, Marek Saganowski has been introduced in place of Jeppe Curth.
    • 66' Barry Robson is down after a clumsy collision with Martin Pedersen. The midfielder looks to have shaken it off, though.
    • 65' Another, much closer, attempt from Caldwell brings a fine point-blank save from Zaza. The defender's weaving run through the Aalborg area culminates in a driven shot which the keeper blocks away to deny him.
    • 64' Kasper Risgaard has a header from the edge of the Celtic area which he can't quite get enough power on to trouble Boruc, but a decent chance anyway.
    • 62' Caca looks by the far the most potent threat for the Danish side and Scott Brown clearly agrees - he slides in on the playmaker with real ferocity.
    • 60' Aalborg are having to press forward now, which is in such contrast to their approach prior to the goal that they are barely recognisable as a side.
    • 57' Gary Caldwell attempts a Hollywood piece of football on the edge of the Aalborg area, chesting down Samaras' pass and audaciously trying to curl the ball into the far corner with his left foot. Needless to say, Zaza collected comfortably.
    • 55' Celtic thoroughly deserve that goal and what better way to react to that penalty appeal that was turned down?! Robson breaks down the left wing and feeds Samaras, but his pass is too heavy.
    • 53' GOAL!!! Celtic have finally broken the deadlock through a superbly guided header by Barry Robson! The man who missed the penalty when these two sides met at Celtic Park, has made amends with a quality finish.
    • 51' A fervent appeal for a Celtic penalty is refused by the Austrian referee, with Scott McDonald seemingly brought down by Zaza. Replays suggest it should have been given.
    • 50' Brown commits another reckless challenge which he surprisingly is not booked for. The resulting free-kick is wasted but Enevoldsen's shot from the edge of the box drifts narrowly over the bar.
    • 48' A period of head tennis ensues, before Scott Brown scythes down Caca for a very dangerous free-kick, but Jakobsen can only find the foot of the Celtic wall.
    • 46' The second half has begun and Samaras has been given a reprieve in the form of another chance to find another gear. Celtic need to be clinical to get the points that their first half display deserved.
    • 45+1' And there is the half-time whistle and it is goalless, although Samaras has a suitably rueful face as he trudges down the tunnel.
    • 45' Just the one minute to be added at the end of this first-half. I don't really understand where even that stoppage time has come from - the game has barely taken breath. But don't get the wrong impression - it is totally devoid of quality or creativity.
    • 43' Good link-up play between Scott McDonald and Scott Brown almost creates a clear chance in on goal, but Martin Pedersen times a sliding tackle impeccably.
    • 41' An exquisite whipped cross from Nakamura finds Samaras in the box with a free header, but the Greek striker is again off the pace, mis-timing his jump and nodding wide.
    • 40' Superb work-rate from Scott Brown is rewarded when the midfielder, on a rampaging run, dispossesses Lucas Caca in the Aalborg area, but the attack peters out.
    • 38' The rather ugly opening to this game is epitomised by Andreas Hinkel, who unleashes a wild shot which goes away for a throw-in. That was an embarrassment.
    • 37' Celtic's marking was slack there and with Aalborg playing so poorly, it would be a travesty to allow a soft set-piece goal.
    • 35' Aalborg go close with a vicious, inswinging corner by Lucas Casa, which finds the free head of Michael Jakobsen, but Artur Boruc is able to tip the ball over the bar.
    • 33' It is not Samaras' touch which is the most frustrating aspect of his performance thus far, it is his alarming lack of work-rate and vigour. The travelling Celtic fans are beginning to get on his back too, now.
    • 31' Andreas Johansson, the chief ball-winner in the Aalborg side is putting in a remarkable amount of tackles in the centre of the field, which is severely disrupting Celtic's rhythm. They need to get the ball out wide.
    • 29' The Austrian referee Messner is surprisingly reluctant to award free-kicks to either side, which is good for the general flow of the game, but the players are getting pretty exasperated.
    • 27' Aalborg are content to keep possession at a slow pace which is frustrating the Celtic players and fans alike. It is noticeable when the visitors have the ball, how the tempo is lifted.
    • 26' Again, the Greek striker is labouring up-front and Brown's pass to him goes astray.
    • 24' Samaras is carrying an incredibly sluggish demeanour so far in this match. He is not looking remotely sharp and Gordon Strachan will be concerned.
    • 22' Scott McDonald is provided with a threaded through ball from Nakamura, but the Australian unnecessarily fouls Steve Olfers.
    • 20' Mark Wilson and Andreas Hinkel mysteriously look for confirmation from the Celtic bench before advancing up the field for an attacking free-kick. You would have thought those sort of things would have been decided before kick-off?
    • 18' Artur Boruc shows extreme composure to fool Aalborg striker Jeppe Curth into a dummy and shepherd a dangerous through ball away for a goal kick.
    • 17' Scott Brown and Barry Robson continue to dominate in the centre of midfield, winning their headers comfortably.
    • 15' Kasper Bogelund, the Aalborg right-back looks a threat with an impressive turn of pace. He skins Glenn Loovens and almost beats Mark Wilson to get to the byline.
    • 12' Aalborg are really struggling to keep hold of the ball and Celtic are able to regain possession without breaking a sweat at present. Strachan is urging Samaras to work harder in attack, however.
    • 11' Nakamura is in the thick of it for Celtic, the midfielder is popping up down the right, left and wherever the ball is at the moment.
    • 9' What a miss! Scott McDonald feeds in Nakamura who is through with just Karim Zaza to beat, but he spoons his shot wildly over the bar - let's hope Celtic aren't left to rue that opportunity.
    • 7' Barry Robson is looking composed in the centre, alongside Brown. This ground reminds me of The Dell, back in Southampton's hey day, and that's not just because of Aalborg's red and white striped kit. It is such a tight ground with a vociferous atmosphere.
    • 5' A great chance for Celtic to take an early lead goes begging! Shunsuke Nakamura whips in a delightful cross which narrowly evades Georgios Samaras, sliding desperately at the back post.
    • 3' Celtic have started brightly and Scott Brown has already made a few crunching tackles in midfield.
    • 1' We're underway in this compact little ground in Denmark. Celtic are in their change strip of yellow shirts and green shorts.
    • - Welcome to Celtic's Champions League Group E encounter against Aalborg at the originally-named Aalborg Stadion. Gordon Strachan has named an unchanged starting line-up in this crucial match where Celtic will be looking to finally break their duck away from home.
