    • 21.39 Full Time 1-1. Fiorentina's players sportingly provide a tunnel for their German visitors to march through. Fiorentina led for the majority of the game, but only ended up with a point, and unfortunately that effectively ends their chances of progressing to the Knockout stages. 2001 Champions League winners Bayern continue their run of good results and will be happy to come away with a draw. Thanks for tuning in.
    • 90+2 A chance for Kroos in the last minute! The impressive Ze Roberto floated a ball to the back post, but in acres of space, the young substitute can only volley wide- that would have sealed it.
    • 90 Podolski off , Ottl on. Ottl hasn't got much time to make an impact here.
    • 90 It's got a bit scrappy here, as we prepare to enter added time, of which there will be 3 minutes.
    • 86 Demichelis has taken another knock, this time to the face. A new shirt did the trick last time...the kit man is shuffling nervously on the Bayern bench.
    • 86 Lucio is down after a tussle with Gilardino, but he's up and we're off and running again. There's still three points up for grabs here.
    • 82 What have Fiorentina got left here? Bayern are looking most likely to take all three points here as Melo nearly turns a Ze Roberto cross into his own net.
    • 80 Kroos is on for Bayern Munich as they press for a winner, Schweinsteiger will make way.
    • 78 Amidst all the excitement, I forgot to mention, Fiorentina have made another change- Osvaldo replacing Kuzmanovic, who had a quiet game.
    • 79 Klose...How have you missed! An incisive break away sees him close in on Sebastian Frey but he somehow manages to loft his shot over the goalkeeper and the crossbar.
    • 78 Borowski! It's 1-1. That was scrappy, but they all count. Ribery's tame cross somehow found its way through to the German midfielder, who had plenty of time to slot home the equaliser. Jurgen Klinsmann opts to jump for joy rather than his trademark slide across the turf!
    • 76 Do I spy some movement on the Bayern bench?
    • 75 25 yeard effort from Mutu, well held by Rensing. Mutu really has been lively tonight.
    • 73 Calm down Oddo! The left back flies in studs raised, before protesting his innocence. The referee, rather leniently decides a quiet word is the best way to defuse the situation.
    • 72 Bayern are starting to operate almost exclusively in Fiorentina's half. Worryingly for the home side they are starting to look more dangerous. Still no subs from Jurgen...
    • 67 Good effort Lucas Podolski. He breaks down the left hand side before fizzing a shot across goal. The keeper can't hold it, but Dainelli is on hand to clear the danger.
    • 66 The Ref has to intervene to stop the pushing and shoving in the box, the corner itself comes to nothing .
    • 64 Speculative effort from that man Mutu, headed clear by Lucio, but it's a corner to the home side.
    • 62 We do have a substitution, but it is Fiorentina who make the change and Santana is replaced by Sergio Almiron.
    • 61 I would imagine that Klinsmann might be thinking about making a change- Fiorentina are starting to look more and more comfortable.
    • 59 Great ball in from the full-back Gobbi, nearly finds its way to Mutu at the back post... Lucio just manages to clear the danger and deny the Romanian another goal scoring opportunity.
    • 55 Should have been a second for Adrian Mutu. A clipped ball in from the right hand side, Mutu unmarked in the box, but he heads over, unmarked from 5 yards.
    • 53 Ze Roberto whips in a mean, left-footed cross, which narrowly evades first Podolski and then Klose, who have both been spectators so far...
    • 52 The crowd are loving this and so am I! Melo unleashes a 30 yard drive for the home side, but it goes harmlessly over the bar.
    • 49 This is much better, the game is really flowing freely. Jurgen Klinsmann must have said something to wake his men up at Half-Time.
    • 48 Straight back up the other end and La Viola nearly double thier advantage as Rensing saves well from Mutu only to see the rebound fall to Montolivo...but his shot is closer to the corner flag than the goal.
    • 47 Klose comes close to equalising for Bayern as he gets on the end of Schwiensteiger's low cross, should he have done better? I've just seen the replay, he should have scored!
    • 46 A delightful ball delivered by the outside of Melo's right boot sets Gilardino through on goal, but his chip does not have the deft touch of say, Tiger Woods, and flies over the bar.
    • 46 For all my chat about Fiorentina deserving their lead, the match stats would suggest otherwise with the German's taking the lions share of possession and having ten shots. But I stand by my assessment, Fiorentina have simply used the ball better in the final third.
    • 45 We're back underway here in Florence. Fiorentina in their rather fetching purple strip will kick-off the second half.
    • 45 Just as it starts to get interesting...the referee blows for Half-Time. It's 1-0 to Fiorentina thanks to an Adrian Mutu goal. Fiorentina deserve their lead, but will have to work hard to keep Bayern at bay when we resume.
    • 45 Booking. The referee brandishes a yellow card to Bayern's Tim Borowski, for a mistimed lunge on Santana. This is just starting to heat up...
    • 44 Ribery breaks down the left and is well stopped by a Santana sliding challenge, Ribery appeals for the throw, and gets it, even though it clearly came off him last.
    • 42 Melo gets a talking to after another hefty challenge. No booking, but the Ref has his beady little eye on him!
    • 41 Schweinsteiger! I thought that was in for a moment. A ferocious strike from 15 yards thunders into the side netting after a strong break from Borowski.
    • 40 Here's a chance for Bayern to prove me wrong. A free-kick on the right corner of the area...does not beat the first man.
    • 38 Two more crosses from Schweinsteiger which don't beat the first man, the German side will have to improve the quality of their delivery if they are going to prevail here.
    • 37 Corner to Fiorentina. Whipped in from the left hand side. Lucio gets there first and was apparently fouled in the process. Free kick to Bayern in their own area.
    • 35 Van Bommel! Snap shot from 25 yards sails over the bar. He is more than capable from that range though...
    • 33 Once again, Bayern waste a potential goal scoring opportunity; Oddo, who had overlapped on the right, puts in a tame cross and it is easily cleared. Bayern must improve their final delivery.
    • 33 Chance! The ball is cut back to Schweinsteiger, who volleys instinctively with his right goot, but its high, wide and into the crowd.
    • 31 Excellent defending from Lucio to keep Gilardino at bay.
    • 31 From the resulting corner Fiorentina launch an enterprising counter attack, but the ball runs through to Rensing after a series of neat flicks and dummies.
    • 28 A cynical foul by Melo fells Borowski, somehow Melo avoids a booking, but Bayern have a free kick 25 yards out. Scweinstieger hits it into the wall. Corner.
    • 27 Rensing denies Gilardino with a fine save, flinging himself to his left to keep out the Italian international's header.
    • 25 Nice work from Van Bommel sees Schweinsteiger in space on the right. Although Fiorentina clear the danger, Bayern are starting to look a bit more threatening now.
    • 23 Demichelis is fine. Turns out all he needed was a change of shirt.
    • 23 Bayern put a series of crosses into the Fiorentina penalty area, but they are all cleared with the minimum of fuss, maybe the German's have forgotten that towering striker Luca Toni is out injured...
    • 21 Jurgen Klinsmann is starting to look rather agitated on the side-lines, it could be that he's concerned about a knock to Demichelis, more likely he's not happy with his team's performance so far.
    • 20 This time its Gilardino who gets his head on a perfect left footed cross, only to see his effort well saved by Rensing.
    • 18 Bayern seem content to keep the ball at the back, to their credit they look comfertable enough, but as soon as they try to force the pace, Fiorentina win back possesion and now its their turn to knock it round the back four.
    • 15 Great cross in from the right by that man Schweinsteiger, but Fiorentina clear their lines.
    • 13 The Tuscan crowd are really getting behind their team here and Bayern look rattled-they cant get going...
    • 12 Well that came out of nowhere! A great finish from the former Chelsea striker. Hopefully that will light the blue touch paper and get this game going.
    • 11 GOAL! Adrian Mutu with a left footed volley! Fiorentina with the best move of the match, move the ball fluently across the pitch. The ball is crossed in from the right by Zauri and Mutu applies the finish.
    • 9 Schweinsteiger is back on the pitch, although he's not moving too freely.
    • 6 At the other end, the referee waves away claims for a penalty, and rightly so, Gilardino fell rather theatrically and was not fooling anyone, especially the official.
    • 5 It's been a scrappy opening so far, with neither side really settling, Schweinsteiger has gone down injured on the far side and will recieve treatment.
    • 2 Bayern win a free kick about 35 yards out which Ribery clips into the box, and despite some unconvincing defending it goes behind for a goal kick.
    • 1 Bayern kick-off and we're underway.
    • 20.43 Hello and welcome to the Artemio Franchi in Florence, for this Group F fixture between Fiorentina and group-leaders Bayern Munich. Fiorentina currently sit third in Group F with only two points from their opening three games, making tonight a must win game for 'La Viola'.
