- 46' One change to tell you about at the break... Sulley Muntari has come on to replace Vieira.
46' Here we go again! Back underway in Manchester!- 45'+1 Half-time at Old Trafford! And United head in a goal to the good but it's not been easy for them...

- 33' Inter have certainly settled now... they're enjoying more possession and United have lost a little of their fluency.

- 25' That's sloppy from Scholes... he leaves the ball for Vidic, who doesn't come and get it... but again Inter can't make anything of it.

- 22' Vidic concedes a corner under pressure from Ibrahimovic... there's a hint of a push from the Swede, but the ref signals a corner nonetheless.
- 20' Stankovic goes skidding into the advertising hoardings as he tries to reach a long ball through... he claims he's injured, but since he's off the pitch, surely play can continue? Ronaldo puts it out anyway.
- 19' Two handball shouts in the space of a minute for United! First Giggs is played through in behind Maicon... he plays the ball across where it's blocked by Samuel who is in a prone position on the ground after having slipped on the turf! Play on though... moments later the ball appears to strike Stankovic on the arm as Giggs attempts to deliver another cross! Again no pen!
- 18' Ibrahimovic tries to nick in between Ferdinand and O'Shea... he looks for a free-kick, but the ref's having none of it, and play goes on, with United in possession again.
- 16' Moments later and Ronaldo tries his luck with a volley! But the Portuguese gets well under it and the ball flies into the stand behind Julio Cesar's goal.
- 15' Rooney tees up Berbatov for a volley from the edge of the area... but it's a difficult one and he doesn't get enough power on it to trouble Julio Cesar.
- 13' Inter win a free-kick now... and Balotelli is over, looking like he wants it. The youngster does take it and he finds Vieira's head, but the Frenchman's effort loops off the top of his forehead and straight into Van der Sar's arms.
- 11' United just playing the ball across the back four before Vidic launches a long ball forward for Ronaldo to chase... but the flag is up and play is called back.
- 9' Anyway back to tonight... and United are still looking good and Inter are have yet to trouble their back line.
- 8' That, of course, is a song in reference to Vieira's wayward pass to Giggs in the 1999 FA Cup semi-final at Villa Park that ended in the Welshman baring his hairy chest to all and United going on to win the Treble.

- - Jose Mourinho has sprung a surprise with the inclusion of Patrick Vieira in Inter's starting XI as the expense of Sulley Muntari. Mario Balotelli is also included while Adriano starts on the bench. At the back, Ivan Cordoba and Walter Samuel play, with Nelson Rivas relegated to the bench.

I don't think the Mourinho effect is working in Italy, the press don't hang on his every word like in England. Italian Football has lost its passion for jonny foreigner to the benefit of their national side but at what cost to european club football.
