    • 90'+2 Goal scoring hero Karagounis comes off to a standing ovation from the crowd. And well deserved too: his goal has against all expectations put the Greek side at the top of their group.
    • 84' Mantzios comes off the pitch with what looks like a thigh strain... but you can't help thinking that if his side were one-down instead of one-up that he might have played through it. Still, it wastes the required minute or two. Rukavina comes on as his replacement.
    • 81' Anorthosis coach Temuri Ketsbaia is looking disconsolate. This was always going to be one of those games where the first goal was crucial, and he seems to be running short of ideas.

    • 65' Panathinaikos are looking the better of the sides now, but you feel this is a match that'll be decided by a breakaway goal. Cleyton comes off to be replaced by Salpingidis for the hosts.
    • 58' Panathinaikos win a free kick just outside the box, which is looped in nicely by Karagounis, but nobody can quite get enough bonce on it to cause problems for the Anorthosis defence.
    • 53' A good counter-attack by the Cypriots sees them fly the length of the pitch in a matter of seconds and NIKOLAOU LOOKS TO BE THROUGH!!! But it's clear he controlled the ball with his arm. The crowd let out a collective sigh of relief - that was very dangerous.

Half chances for both sides go begging, but it's suddenly much easier to see where the goals might come from.
