    • 90+3 All over in Madrid and Liverpool have done it. It wasn't pretty, it wasn't all that exciting, but Liverpool have beaten Real in their own back yard and are now firm favourites to go through to the quarter-finals.
    • 90+1 Leiva Lucas makes a late appearance as Liverpool run down the clock. Kuyt is the man replaced.
    • 87 Riera leaves the field hobbling, to be replaced by none other than captain fantastic. Enter Gerrard!
    • 86' Gago goes in the book for a nasty, crude lunge on Albert Reira, who looks hurt.
    • 82' GOOOOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! Liverpool lead!!! Aurelio whips over a free-kick from the right and BENAYOUN IS UNMARKED TO HEAD PAST CASILLAS!!!
