    • 90+2' Boos ring out around the Jose Alvalade stadium as Bayern thrash Sporting 5-0! Two goals each for Franck Ribery and Luca Toni and a strike from Miroslav Klose give Jurgen Klinsmann's side a lead which is surely unassailable. Thanks for joining us!
    • 90' GOAL!!! Luca Toni grabs his second of the evening and Bayern's fifth! The striker saw his initial close-range shot saved by Tiago, but tapped in the rebound after Ribery had again found him in a great position!
    • 88' Toni misses a great chance to make it five-nil from close range, but Tiago denies him with a smart stop after Ribery's cross.
    • 86' Sporting's defence has fallen to pieces as Bayern continue to press forward, searching for a fifth.
    • 84' GOAL!!! Luca Toni scores Bayern's fourth as this game becomes a rout against Sporting! The Italy forward rose to head into Tiago's far corner from Ribery's left wing cross.
    • 82' The whistles resound in the stadium as Joao Moutinho is penalised for a high-footed challenge on Lucio, which seemed pretty innocuous.
    • 80' Bruno Pereirinha is booked for a lunge on Franck Ribery as the frustration grows for Sporting; the unrest around the stadium is palpable.
    • 77' A glorious chance is squandered by Liedson, not for the first time this evening! The forward headed wide from 12 yards out, completely unmarked, as Leandro Romagnoli whipped in another pin-point cross.
    • 74' Lucio looks dazed after a clash with Fabio Rochemback, and there is a delay in play as the defender receives treatment.
    • 71' Yannick Djalo replaces Derlei for Sporting, which seems slightly strange as the forward as played quite well, despite missing a few chances.
    • 68' Bayern are brimming with confidence as they play the ball around in the Sporting half, relatively unopposed; Jurgen Klinsmann is looking very smug on the touchline right now.
    • 65' The Sporting players look increasingly dejected out there now, as the away supporters from Germany are jumping up and down ecstatically in their corner.
    • 63' GOAL!!! Franck Ribery scores his second of the night, sending Tiago the wrong way and simply passing the penalty to the keeper's left - surely Bayern are out of sight now?!
    • 62' It's a penalty to Bayern! Philipp Lahm is tripped by Fabio Rochemback, and Ribery has the chance to give Bayern a 3-0 lead!
    • 60' A double substitution is made by Sporting coach, Paulo Bento, with Izmailov and Abel replaced with Vukcevic and Pereirinha.
    • 57' GOAL!!! Miroslav Klose doubles Bayern's lead, bundling home after Toni's header had fallen into his path six yards out! A real opportunist strike from the Germany striker.
    • 56' A superb diving block by Lucio denies Liedson, who was waiting to recieve Vanderlei's cross.
    • 55' Romagnoli gets to the right byline for Sporting and dinks a cross back into the path of Derlei, who attempts an outrageous overhead kick, but makes poor contact.
    • 53' Van Bommel, who had already been booked, blocks Leandro Romagnoli in full flight - it was more clumsy than cynical, but the referee gives the Dutchman a stern final warning.
    • 51' Fabio Rochemback is already displaying more urgency on the ball than he did in the first half, but Sporting need to get Joao Moutinho in possession much more if they are to create further chances.
    • 48' Derlei is clattered by Martin Demichelis as the forward looked to swivel and shoot on the edge of the Bayern area; a free-kick is awarded, but no further punishment.
    • 46' We're back underway at the Jose Alvalade stadium, with Bayern holding the ascendency after Ribery's first half strike.
    • 45+1' Ribery blasts the resulting free-kick wide of Tiago's goal and the referee blows for half-time, but the Frenchman has been the decisive factor so far with a superb finish. Bayern lead Sporting 1-0.
    • 45' Anderson Polga, who has had a dreadful couple of minutes, concedes a free-kick which is dangerous territory with Ribery about.
    • 43' Liedson sacrifices possession with a wasteful shot which is blocked by Oddo, before hacking down the lanky defender to concede a free-kick.
    • 42' GOAL!!! Franck Ribery gives Bayern the lead with a clinical finish under Tiago! Anderson Polga had sloppily given the ball away in his own half, allowing the Frenchman to break and he made no mistake.
    • 38' Luca Toni boots Lucio in the face with his studs up, but the defender is okay after giving his team-mate a rueful look.
    • 35' Liedson heads wide for Sporting, but the angle was against him - he should have still hit the target from Fabio Rochemback's delivery though.
    • 33' A great ball is whipped in by Marat Izmailov down the right for Sporting, but Derlei can't quite latch on to it.
    • 31' Just as I say that the visitors need to stop Moutinho, Mark Van Bommel does exactly that with a robust challenge which earns him a booking - I just meant to close the instrumental midfielder down, but hey!
    • 29' Although Bayern have had the better chances, Sporting are edging their way back into the game with a good spell of possession; Moutinho is the man Bayern need to stop.
    • 27' An audacious effort from Liedson almost catches Rensing off guard from 30 yards, but his shot drifts wide to the relief of the keeper, whose positioning was not great.
    • 24' Luca Toni leaps high to head Ribery's cross goalward, but he times his jump poorly and can only mis-direct his effort wide - decent chance for the striker.
    • 21' The tempo of the game has dropped slightly as Bayern look to keep possession, but everytime Ribery or Schweinsteiger get the ball, the pacey forwards up the pace - let's hope for more of that.
    • 19' Neat work from Ribery out wide finds Ze Roberto again, and this time the midfielder picks out Luca Toni in the box, but the Italian can't make proper contact and Sporting clear.
    • 17' Miroslav Klose slips Ze Roberto in down the left wing behind Abel, but the Brazilian fails to keep the ball in play at the byline.
    • 14' Decent efforts at either end as firstly Franck Ribery flashes a drive from the edge of the area wide of Tiago's far post, before Liedson slashes wide of Rensing's goal.
    • 12' Philipp Lahm is perfectly placed to save Bayern, heading Anderson Polga's lofted shot off the line with Michael Rensing completely beaten!
    • 10' Philipp Lahm commits a foul on Moutinho, while Tonel trips Toni, as neither team allows the other to settle.
    • 9' The Sporting fans remain in full voice as both sides look to assert themselves on the game; Lucio does well to block Joao Moutinho's fierce shot from the edge of the area.
    • 7' It's very early to make judgement on the game, but having begun the brighter, Sporting are having to ceaselessly chase their German opponents at the moment.
    • 5' Mark Van Bommel concedes a free kick through sheer over-enthusiasm, hustling Tonel. Fabio Rochemback lets fly with a long-range effort, but it doesn't test Michael Rensing.
    • 3' The pitch resembles a carpet in Lisbon and both sides will look to play the ball around and make the most of it. Luca Toni is typically throwing himself around already, showing no ill effects of that achilles problem.
    • 1' We're underway at the Jose Alvalade stadium in Lisbon, and there is a fervent atmosphere in the ground as the Portugese hosts lock horns with Jurgen Klinsmann's Bayern Munich.
    • - Sporting have failed to beat German opposition in 14 attempts in European competition, and look set to replace the injured Helder Postiga, with fellow forward Derlei. The experienced Abel may also be preferred to Pedro Silva at right-back. Bayern boss Jurgen Klinsmann happily partners Luca Toni with Miroslav Klose, after the Italian was passed fit after an achilles problem.
    • - Welcome to this Uefa Champions League last-16 first leg between Sporting Lisbon and Bayern Munich at Jose Alvalade. Paulo Bento's side have progressed beyond the group stage for the first time in this campaign, while four-time European champions Bayern are back in the elite competition after missing out last season.
