However, Boruc is slow to get out and Rossi gets away a little shot that Boruc can only put into the path of Llorente - the Villarreal man has loads of time to line up his shot but he scuffs it miles wide.
    • 20' Senna the latest to try a 30-yarder - this one was close enough for Boruc to dive to his right but it still went wide of the target.
    • 18' Celtic backing off again a bit and Sani Cazorla tries his luck but fires well wide. Still one of them will fly into the top corner if Celtic are not careful.

    • 14' Eguren has a chance with a header after the entire Celtic defence minus Samaras played the offside trap - it is a poor header though and it goes wide. But Samaras needs to be more in tune with his team-mates.
    • 11' Brilliant run down the left from Maloney - he skips by Senna and then Rodriguez can only trip him. That earns a free in a decent position but Maloney shoots when he should have whipped it in and it goes straight at Lopez.
    • 9' Samaras wins a corner out of nothing and the whipped in ball then finds Caldwell's head - he heads it straight into the chest of Godin though who clears away. Little shout of a penalty from Caldwell but it clearly hit Godin on the chest.
    • 8' Decent start this from Celtic - Villarreal having most of the possession as you would expect but the SPL side look well organised.
    • 6' Decent ball into the box from the right by Mark Wilson but Samaras can get his head on it and Villarreal clear.
    • 4' Well after that nervy start it looks as if Celtic have setttled into things a little bit now.
    • 2' Celtic defending deep early on and they have to be careful -Llorente has just fired a shot over the bar.
