FT And that is it! Besiktas have denied United the opportunity to win Group B with their first win away in the Champions League for seven years! It also ends Manchester United 23-match unbeaten run at home in the competition
90+5 One last chance for United ... but Carrick fires the ball at Rustu from just outside the area and surely that'll be it?- 90+4 Ben Foster comes up for the corner and gets pretty close to getting a head to the ball but in the end it is Wes Brown who very nearly gets the equaliser, heading a stunning attempt back across the goal. Rustu again gets a hand to it and denies the hosts
- 90+3 Ooooo. What a chance for United! Anderson does brilliantly well to drag the ball back from the goal-line on the left wing and play it onto the head of Macheda. But Rustu again gets a hand to the ball and turns it behind for a corner!
- 90+2 United are getting desperate now as Carrick lets off s hot from just outside the box but he never really got over the ball and it goes well over the bar
- 90' Just a minute to go now as Obertan surges down the right wing but again fails to find anyone to finish off the movethere will five minutes of added time for Besiktas to last
- 87' United have a very good shout for a penalty as Evra bursts into the area. The Frenchman did go down slightly easily but there is no doubt that Kas made no attempt to play the ball and instead blocked Evra with his arm. Nothing doing from the referee though and United remain frustrated
85' Besiktas substitute Batuhan has been on the field exactly 14 seconds before he is flagged offside and receives a yellow card for kicking the ball away towards goal. It's a little harsh as it was right at Foster and barely wasted any time- 84' Owen lays the ball back to Neville on left wing and the United captain drifts the ball in towards Macheda, but the striker isn't really anyway near it and the ball drifts through
- 83' Evra attempts to break the deadlock as he fires low from 35 metres out. Rustu struggles a little to control the bobbling ball but it was off target anyway so not too much pressure on the Besiktas keeper
- 81' Besiktas substitute Inceman bursts up the centre of the pitch before feeding Bobo on his left. But Brown gets in the way and cuts out the danger for United
- 80' Erhan takes down Welbeck for a free kick but Carrick's attempt to get the ball into the area fails miserable as he barely gets it off the ground and drills it into a very solid wall! United are running out of time now
- 78' Macheda is pushed way after Obertan gets a bit too heavy a touch on his pass and it is a disappointing cross this time from the youngster and Erhan cuts out the ball
- 75' Neville finds a perfectly weighted pass for Obertan down the right wing, but the Frenchman once again runs out of space under intense pressure from Uzulmez and the chance gets away from him

65' A slight delay as Toraman receives treatment on the field. Obertan accidently made a spot of contact with his elbow to the head of Toraman, who is now bleeding from just above the eye. A great ball from Macheda on the left wing finds the head of Obertan but the Frenchman just heads the ball upwards and it comes down on top of the net. Rustu looks as though he would have been there anyway

- 61' Park receives the ball on the left of the area and could have let off a shot. But he tries to feed Macheda, who has been very quiet since the re-start. The ball comes off Ferrari but back to Park on the floor. Again though Besiktas clear the ball and the chance goes begging
- 60' Neville finds Gibson, who in turn feeds Welbeck. The 18-year-old finds Park but eventually Anderson loses the ball and it is back with Besiktas in midfield
- 59' Michael Owen, Michael Carrick and Nani are all warming up on the touch line and it could be that Ferguson is beginning to get a little frustrated with his mostly young side
- 57' Gibson cuts the ball out on Bobo's pass, he bursts up the centre of the field, plays a neat one-two with Welbeck after a deflection from Torman, before feeding Park. The South Korean thinks about moving the ball onto his right foot but doesn't have the time and ends up shooting just wide of the left post off his left foot. First real chance for United in this half
- 55' Tello takes it once again but can't get the ball to dip and drills it way too high and ever so slightly wide on the left. No worries for Foster there
- 55' Bobo finds Tello, who has hits back to the goal. Tello sends the ball back to Bobo via the foot of Gibson and the young midfielder lunges in with a clumsy challenge on Bobo, who earns Besiktas another free kick
- 52' Anderson, Gibson, Park. The South Korean finds Welbeck who shoots well wide on his way to the floor. He claims he'd had his ankle tapped but there is nothing doing and it will be a Besiktas free-kick
- 51' Tello's free kick gets cut out by the head of Gibson before Ismail unleashes a long range effort that flies well over the top of Foster's cross bar
- 50' Besiktas are enjoying their best spell of possession of the match so far as they work the ball across the field and back again without making too much progress forward. But Gibson gets frustrated and takes on Tello and Besiktas have a field kick

46' Ok, we are back underway at Old Trafford ...- 45' There's the half-time whistle as Uzulmez boots a free kick up the left wing and beyond everyone. A good half from United but they trail by a absolute bullet of a goal from Rodrigo Tello despite enjoying the lion's share of the possession.
- 44' United have just got a little ragged up front at the moment, they're enjoying 69 per cent of the possession but aren't troubling Recber nearly as much as they were in the first part of the half
- 43' Rafael finds Park on the left wing, the South Korean floats the ball over the top of everyone in the area but Obertan out-muscles Uzulmez on the right but his shot goes behind the right post, admittedly from a narrow angle
- 41' Ekrem finds Fink on the edge of the area. Fink finds Tello, who holds the ball up slightly before laying it back for Fink. And the final shot from the Fink only just dribbles past the right post. That was very nearly 2-0 Besiktas!

- 32' Welbeck gets in behind Uzulmez in the box but just gets muscled off the ball and, much to the annoyance of the United fans behind the goal, Besiktas are awarded a goal-kick
- 31' Welbeck finds Obertan on the right on the box, once again in acres of space. Obertan races into the area but Recber is brilliant in making himself big and comes up with a very adept save
- 30' Obertan showing off a little on the left wing, delights the crowd with a few step-overs before squaring the ball ... where it gets cut out by Ferrari. Again.
- 28' Park finds Macheda on the edge of the area but again there is one too many touches from the United strike force and Besiktas cut the ball out before recieving a free kick when Park takes out Ekrem a little on the late side
- 27' Beautiful one-touch football from Neville, Obertan and Welbeck on the right wing before the 18-year-old recieves the ball back and takes one too many touches before attempting to square the ball for Park. Recber is right there though and deflects the ball behind for a corner
- 25' Neville makes one of his first forays forward of the night and floats a neat cross into the area. But it gets cut out by Ferrari. Besiktas have looked decent at the back under intense pressure so far
- 23' Park makes a great run up the left wing before finding Welbeck on the right of him. Welbeck finds Gibson, who uses one-touch brilliantly to find Park again. Back to Welbeck who is now just inside the box. But the youngster runs out of space and his attempted squaring of the ball sees it end in the side-netting. Good response though from United
21' GOAL BESIKTAS! What a goal from the Turkish side as Tello receives the ball the middle of the park before unleashing a 30 metre bullet! It takes a slight deflection off Rafael's shoulder but not much and rips into the back of the right side of the net past a diving Ben Foster- 19' A bit of swagger from Macheda as he receives the ball on the right of the box before cutting very confidently inside around two Besiktas players and unleashing a left-footed shot that just dribbles past the left post
- 18' Anderson finds Obertan on the right once again, and he is in absolute acres of space. Obertan tries to find Macheda but the ball takes a deflection and Bobo clears
- 17' Gibson (in the centre again) finds Park on the left of the area, the South Korean chips the ball in looking for Macheda, who does get a head on it. But the move breaks down as Macheda is penalised for a little shove in the back of Toraman
- 15' Gibson receives the ball right on the edge of the area, in the centre of the field and goes for goal on his own but slices the ball and it fails to trouble Recber in the end. Gibson apologises to his team-mates, four of whom were in promising positions there
- 14' Anderson whips the ball in from the left, VIDIC ... ooo. Great chance for United as Vidic loses Ferrari but somehow fails to trouble Recber as the ball heads off at a right angle to the goal despite Vidic being unchallenged. Should have done better there, United
- 13' Gibson tonks a ball goalwards from 35 metres out but it takes a solid deflection and lands on the top netting. Corner for United though
- 11' Ismael gets off a great flaoting cross which it requires Rafael to deal with. Promising from Besiktas though
- 9' Ernst makes a decent attempt at a long-range shot and strikes the ball with a fair amount of power. But unfortunately for Turkish fans, the shot is straight at Foster and he collects with ease
7' Park picks up the ball about 30 metres out before charging towards the edge of the area and unleashing a shot. Recber gets his body behind the ball to block it and it almost falls for Macheda but his is slips losing time before attempting a back-heel shot! But the whistle goes for offside anyway- 6' Macheda has wandered on to the left wing and receives the ball from Anderson before cutting in to the edge of the area and squaring the ball for Welbeck. But the 18-year-old just runs out of space and his shot is block
- 5' Bobo looks to feed Fink in the right of the box but Vidic reads the pass well and comfortably cuts the ball out
- 4' Obertan disposses Ernst on the right wing once again before dinking round the German and looking for Macheda on the edge of the box. But Besiktas just get a foot to the ball and crowd the United forward out to clear the danger
