    • 90' My oh my. Football etc etc. Now Bayern come again, Kroos wide right, nice cross but Luiz headed away before clearing the second ball. Robben has a pop that is deflected wide for a corner.
    • 89' GOAL CHELSEA! DROGBAAAAA! Mata's near-post corner is met by a flying, turning, power header by the Drog, into the top right. What a header, what a leap - what a man!

    • 79' Big miss by Mueller! Shambolic defending from Chelsea allowed the ball to bounce to his feet from 10 yards but he drags it wide! Luiz at fault there.

    • 77' All Bayern suddenly as Kroos has a shot blocked, now Contento has it but Chelsea have numbers back.
    • 76' Malouda gives it away and then Lampard gets left for dead by Ribery but Cole again flies in from nowhere to block! The cross almost spins in over Cech but he tips it over! Corner.
    • 75' Mueller finds Ribery, now Mueller gets it back but a sliding tackle from Luiz and a throw.
    • 74' Almost panic stations by Bayern for the corner but Kalou's effort is blocked and a shaky Neuer gathers the loose ball.
    • 73' CHELSEA SUB: Bertrand has been far better in the second half but Chelsea need some attacking impetus and he is indeed replaced by Malouda.
    • 73' Looks like Malouda is coming on. But Drobga skins Tymoschuk easily - see! - and he's in acres of space and tries to pick Mata out but Contento intercepts! Corner.
    • 72' Mata sees Bosingwa wide right, brilliant cross from the full-back and KALOU WITH THE HEADER but Boateng gets goal-side of him and Neuer can claim the loose ball!
    • 71' Bayern have a free-kick on the left but Kroos's ball is short, Lampard heading clear. Now Mata comes forward but Tymoschuk intercepts his pass to Drogba. I have to say, for a midfielder, the Ukrainian has done well at the back.
    • 70' Robben plays it low to the edge of the box AND KROOS SHOOTS but blocked by Cole! That was going in!
    • 70' Robben's corner is swung in but headed behind by Bertrand. Another corner, which Luiz heads clear near post.
    • 69' Mueller is let in on the right but Cole flies in with a slide block. Corner.
    • 68' Robben again cuts inside to shoot but again it's blocked. Still Bayern come forward in numbers but Chelsea have responded in kind.
    • 67' A flap from Cech at the corner and Gomez tries a bicycle kick but Luiz blocks! Now Lahm races in, Drogba easing him away to clear - Bayern's fans want a penalty but they're in dreamland if they think that's an option.
    • 66' Lahm turns on the edge of the box but a heavy touch allows Bosingwa to shepherd it back to Cech, who hits it long. Lahm gets another dig on the right, crossing against Cole, corner - though Lahm wanted a penalty for handball - his arms weren't raised.
    • 65' A poor low shot well wide by Robben. 'All day', you can hear Cech say. Now Drogba gets forward but fouls Tymoschuk - they need to put pressure on him, he's a weak point and has not been targeted at all!
    • 64' Ribery on the charge, he cuts inside and tries to find Gomez but plays it behind him and Cole runs it clear.
    • 63' Oh golly. Too many Tweets. Sorry I can't reply - this game is a full-time job, as Robben swings in an inviting cross that Cech gathers.

    • 61' A Chelsea break, well, breaks down, as they all have this half. They need to make some sort of change, I don't know if Malouda's got half an hour in him, or if Sturridge can be trusted in a game of this magnitude.
    • 60' Lampard tries to play his way out of trouble, poor choice as Gomez finds ROBBEN but blocked, Cole with a marvellous spot and brave flying stop!

    • 54' Drogba with a first-time effort from the right wing but straight at a defender. It had been a promising break, speaking of which here come Bayern! Robben shoots from the edge of the box, Cole can only divert it to Ribery who scores! But no! He was offside when the shot was taken, so Cole's touch was irrelevant. Chelsea escape. Cole played him offside, saving his own skin.
    • 53' Cole gives it away, Lahm surges forward but it spins away from him, Gomez latches on to it but Cole clears off the striker and behind for a goal kick. Gomez wanted a penalty but the last time I looked his own feet don't play for Chelsea.
    • 52' Bayern counter now but Cahill shows good pace to get there ahead of Ribery, sliding in to clear.
    • 51' The bal drops to DROGBA FROM RANGE but his half volley bounces wide. Neuer not threatened but an instinctive effort from him.
    • 50' Mueller with some tricky skills on the edge of the box but his centre is deflected into Cech's arms.
    • 49' Chelsea can counter after Luiz's defensive header but Neuer spots the danger, rushing out to clear.
    • 48' Kroos spots a chance from 25 yards but his shot is headed over for a corner. Bayern continuing to boss it.
    • 47' A long ball catches Luiz out and Robben is in! Robben is clean through wide right but Cole appears from nowhere to slide in!
    • 46' Ribery on the run now, he drills in an inviting low cross after getting past Cahill but Luiz slides in to clear. Flag was up anyway, offside.

    • - No changes at half-time, there was talk of Cahill struggling with his dodgy hamstring but he's back out.
    • - STATS - Possession: Bayern 60-40 Chelsea; Shots on target: Bayern 2-1 Chelsea; Shots off target: Bayern 9-1 Chelsea; Bookings: Bayern 1-0 Chelsea; Corners: Bayern 8-0 Chelsea
    • - Phew. Quite a lot to say about that half: Bayern's possession evokes memories of the Chelsea-Barca epics, while Gomez has been off-radar. Ryan Bertrand, meanwhile, has done little to justify his inclusion, limited going forward and struggling to handle Robben. What do you think? FOLLOW ON TWITTER!
    • 45+1 Half time and it's goalless - Bayern have had more possession but Chelsea have looked likely later in the half. Gomez, meanwhile, has missed a few good chances, which he tends to do under pressure. Don't bet against him though - he also has a knack of shinning in late winners.
    • 45' Ribery gets it in the box but calm defending from Luiz, who dispossesses him to play it clear. One minute added time.
    • 44' Bertrand, who has struggled to get on the ball, fouls Lahm as he gives chase.
    • 43' Chelsea on the move again but Contento tackles Lampard. Good defending while getting back into position.
    • 42' Cole to Mata, surging run from him but the ball inside for Drogba is too close to the defence who clear. Chelsea come again - this is much better from them - as Kalou and Bosingwa trade passes, but Boateng clears. Bayern break now as Robben feeds Mueller, he flicks it to GOMEZ WHO SKINS CAHILL WITH A DUMMY AND SURELY but he blasts it miles over!
    • 41' The ref has what he intimates is a final word with Mikel after a foul. Tymoschuk has a pop from range, it's going wide but Gomez has a flick at it, only to send it wider.
    • 40' Comedy of errors for Bayern! A double shank as Ribery completely mis-hits his shot, which lands perfectly for a Gomez poach but the striker inexplicably takes a touch - which is desperately heavy - and Chelsea scramble it behind.
    • 39' Cole tries to fling one over for Bertrand but it's over his head and out for a goal kick. Cole's bad.
    • 38' An excellent break by Chelsea as Mata finds Drogba, who returns it to the Spaniard with a backheel, a fine ball out wide smashed near post by Kalou but saved by Neuer! Contento looked shaky when confronted with a full-flighted Kalou. See? You must attack Bayern.
    • 37' And Chelsea now break as Lampard lofts it in for Drogba, he's onside but by the time the ball lands on his chest defenders have arrived and the chance is gone.
    • 36' JUST WIDE BY MUELLER! Fantastic flying volley after a brilliant cross from Contento, who was let in by Bosingwa after Ribery's feint and pass. Obviously. The shin did for Mueller.
    • 35' Nice touch from Robben to find Contento, he slips it to Ribery but the shot is well wide. Low and misguided. This is very reminiscent of the Barca games - Chelsea are parking the bus, but that one save aside Cech has been unworried.
    • 34' Mata and Drogba over this free-kick, two yards from the box a touch to the right... Poor from Mata, he curls it up and over the wall - and the bar. Drogba I'm sure gets next dibs.
    • 33' Chelsea break and Cahill of all people takes on Boateng on the edge of the box, great skill to round him and he wins a free-kick as the defender sticks out a boot.
    • 33' Great block by Cahill on Muller, the loose ball drops to Robben but his bouncing shot skips up into Cech's arms.
    • 32' A delay in play as Ribery gets treatment and a drink of water. Play resumes with Bayern taking it short.
    • 31' Bosingwa gives Ribery a little ankle kiss, a bit silly and the ref has a word, one assumes in their native Portuguese. Ribery will milk this.
    • 30' The ball falls to Mata, fine pass wide to Bertrand but he looks less comfortable in attack and runs straight into Lahm. Should have passed it inside.
    • 29' ... Which means Robben and Kroos are over it. My money's on the Dutchman. The ref speaks to Mueller, who makes mischief in the wall, but it matters not as Robben hits the wall. Poor.
    • 28' Mueller goes down a bit theatrically as he goes up against Luiz, and the ref obviously buys it. Any opportunity to get involved, bless him. It's on the right, about five yards from the edge of the bo...
    • 27' Taken short, Mata spreads it wide left but Cahill can't combine with Bertrand and it's out for a throw.
    • 26' Drogba is left in a heap as he and Boateng challenge for a header on halfway. Drogba made a back for the former Manchester City defender, but he flew into the Ivorian's back.
    • 25' Lampard tries to release Bertrand but I'm not sure he can read those kinds of balls at this stage and it's easy for Bayern to clear.
    • 24' Bayern have a corner on the left but this time Cech is dominant in the air and claims well.
    • 23' Robben again is the key man as he slides past one man and another but his ball in is cleared and eventually ricochets away for a goal kick.
    • 22' Mata with a fine touch on the right, he finds Bertrand with a brilliant pass across field but Kalou is offside when the Englishman threads him through.
    • 21' Robben has switched flanks, as we predicted, and he cuts inside, beats one man, the another and he drills in a low shot that Cech kicks clear with his boot and it's off the post! Bayern hit the woodwork!! Eventually it's put behind for a corner. That was a great save from Cech as he had bodies in his way - it went through Cahill's diving block. Bosingwa again all over the shop there.
    • 20' Chelsea's midfield have barely had a sniff. Not entirely sure what Bertrand is doing - Robben is seeing a lot of the ball and Lahm has had no defensive work to do. Still with Bayern, and they are using the right a lot.
    • 19' The ball is swung into Robben who half-volleys but Bertrand blocks and it's another corner. This one is flapped at a bit by Cech but Chelsea clear. Now Gomez with a half-chance but he gets his turn all wrong, Lampard coolly plays it clear but a wild swing by Bosingwa and Kroos could be in but in the end Chelsea survive! What was Bosingwa doing?
    • 18' Kalou tries to give chase but he commits a foul and Bayern again have the ball. Mueller with a sharp turn and low cross but hacked away for a corner.
    • 17' Still Bayern in possession as Lahm tries to cut inside to shoot but his path is blocked by a big blue sea. Chelsea can only clear though, not build, and Bayern come back with it...
    • 16' Bayern counter but they aren't quick enough and Chelsea have bodies back. They wanted a handball on Mikel but he knew nothing about it after the ball skipped up from Luiz. Bayern now faced with a London bus, Chelsea style (i.e. blue, not red, and certainly not unionised).
    • 15' Chelsea's first real passing move involves Mata, Mikel and Lampard but breaks down at Drogba.
    • 14' Superb cross from Ribery aimed at a flying Gomez but - with Luiz right on him - the Germany striker heads well over. Half a chance.
    • 13' Luiz gives away a free-kick as it all gets a bit scrappy, Mueller was backing in to win that.
    • 12' shY on the message board below asks where all the Chelsea fans are - in the pub, or in Munich I would hazard. That is the English way after all.
    • 11' Kalou trips Ribery on the edge of the Bayern box as the France winger tried to clear - didn't seem to touch him but Ribery is 'clever' like that, winning little free-kicks to break up the play.
    • 10' Ribery is confused at being called up but the whistle had long gone for a trip on Drogba, he just couldn't hear it in the din. And it is some din.
    • 9' Bayern counter but Robben skies his shot after cutting inside from the right. That was classic Robben, surprised to see him waste it.
    • 8' Cole to Mikel, fine turn around Kroos and now Bosingwa comes forward, Mikel back on the ball, Bosingwa runs inside and finds Kalou wide right, he finds Mata but the cross is poor, too short and Lahm heads clear - he had three men free at the far post.
    • 7' Ribery tries to slip Gomez through but Cahill is well-placed to intercept. Lahm comes forward now but he gives it away, Mikel stays cool to pass it clear. Now Kalou turns and he frees Drogba on the right. He crosses but beyond both Kalou and Bertrand and out for a throw.
    • 6' Bright start for Bayern. I'll tell you this for free Chelsea fans - the best way to beat Bayern is to attack them as they are shaky defensively. You can't be cagey against them - just as Dortmund. Drogba a bit isolated but he only needs half a chance...
    • 5' Chelsea fail to clear their lines from the corner, it's played in to Schweinsteiger who lays it off for KROOS but his savage low drive spins wide!
    • 5' Mueller slips it to Schweinsteiger on the edge of the D, and it opens up for him but Cahill dives in to block the shot! It flies over for a corner.
    • 4' Ribery and Mueller exchange passes on the left and Ribery takes on Bosingwa - only to fall on his hind. The Chelsea fans greet him with a 'wahey'.
    • 3' Handball by Schweinsteiger and the ref - who likes a card - books him.
    • 2' Robben to take from the right, will be an inswinger but it's poor and Bosingwa heads to safety. Still with Bayern though.

FACT - This will be the third European final for Heynckes as a manager, 32 years after his first one. He lost the UEFA Cup final with Borussia Moenchengladbach in 1980 before winning the Champions League with Real Madrid in 1998.

    • 73' Looks like Malouda is coming on. But Drobga skins Tymoschuk easily - see! - and he's in acres of space and tries to pick Mata out but Contento intercepts! Corner.
    • 72' Mata sees Bosingwa wide right, brilliant cross from the full-back and KALOU WITH THE HEADER but Boateng gets goal-side of him and Neuer can claim the loose ball!
    • 70' Robben plays it low to the edge of the box AND KROOS SHOOTS but blocked by Cole! That was going in!
    • 67' A flap from Cech at the corner and Gomez tries a bicycle kick but Luiz blocks! Now Lahm races in, Drogba easing him away to clear - Bayern's fans want a penalty but they're in dreamland if they think that's an option.
    • 60' Lampard tries to play his way out of trouble, poor choice as Gomez finds ROBBEN but blocked, Cole with a marvellous spot and brave flying stop!
    • 54' Drogba with a first-time effort from the right wing but straight at a defender. It had been a promising break, speaking of which here come Bayern! Robben shoots from the edge of the box, Cole can only divert it to Ribery who scores! But no! He was offside when the shot was taken, so Cole's touch was irrelevant. Chelsea escape. Cole played him offside, saving his own skin.
    • 47' A long ball catches Luiz out and Robben is in! Robben is clean through wide right but Cole appears from nowhere to slide in!
    • 42' Cole to Mata, surging run from him but the ball inside for Drogba is too close to the defence who clear. Chelsea come again - this is much better from them - as Kalou and Bosingwa trade passes, but Boateng clears. Bayern break now as Robben feeds Mueller, he flicks it to GOMEZ WHO SKINS CAHILL WITH A DUMMY AND SURELY but he blasts it miles over!
    • 40' Comedy of errors for Bayern! A double shank as Ribery completely mis-hits his shot, which lands perfectly for a Gomez poach but the striker inexplicably takes a touch - which is desperately heavy - and Chelsea scramble it behind.
    • 38' An excellent break by Chelsea as Mata finds Drogba, who returns it to the Spaniard with a backheel, a fine ball out wide smashed near post by Kalou but saved by Neuer! Contento looked shaky when confronted with a full-flighted Kalou. See? You must attack Bayern.
    • 36' JUST WIDE BY MUELLER! Fantastic flying volley after a brilliant cross from Contento, who was let in by Bosingwa after Ribery's feint and pass. Obviously. The shin did for Mueller.
    • 21' Robben has switched flanks, as we predicted, and he cuts inside, beats one man, the another and he drills in a low shot that Cech kicks clear with his boot and it's off the post! Bayern hit the woodwork!! Eventually it's put behind for a corner. That was a great save from Cech as he had bodies in his way - it went through Cahill's diving block. Bosingwa again all over the shop there.
    • 19' The ball is swung into Robben who half-volleys but Bertrand blocks and it's another corner. This one is flapped at a bit by Cech but Chelsea clear. Now Gomez with a half-chance but he gets his turn all wrong, Lampard coolly plays it clear but a wild swing by Bosingwa and Kroos could be in but in the end Chelsea survive! What was Bosingwa doing?
    • 5' Chelsea fail to clear their lines from the corner, it's played in to Schweinsteiger who lays it off for KROOS but his savage low drive spins wide!
    • 5' Mueller slips it to Schweinsteiger on the edge of the D, and it opens up for him but Cahill dives in to block the shot! It flies over for a corner.
