AVB , this type of match Mikel could have play. I am still wondering why you alway use lazy Maluoda. well it 's done plan for the next matches. Is disappointing. As a die hard Chelsea Fans it has eaten deep in me. Complete bushet.
One striker up-front hardly ever works, you might get a goal or two but the lone player has too much to do. If you pack-out the midfield they get into each others way, you need width, speed, and good passing/crosses from the wingers. AVB seems to have changed Chelsea's way of play and it really hasn't helped the Team, it works for some but not them!

If no (or only 1) EPL team gets through to the CL quarterfinals, does that make Serie 1 or La Liga the best league in Europe this year? I guess it comes down to what you mean by "best". The highest tops? (La Liga) The most competitive from top to bottom? (Serie 1) The most hype from devoted fans? (EPL) Of course, it could change again next year. But it does suggest that all the money flowing into the EPL doesn't necessarily translate directly into quality. And it brings a lot of negative things with it.

Napoli were suspect, terrible defence, loads of mistakes but they thumped Chelsea, what does that say about the millions they have spent?

meirelesonce again is left standing, Cahill loses position to easily, Kalou and Essien should always start, defending against Napoli was poor, even Cech not cover his area as he once did. Major surgery should take place with the team, as mentioned yesterday at least eight players have to leave the club, there are some excellent young players who should be given a chance, it will take a while to "Gel" together but around a couple of seasons Chelsea will have a top quality side again.. It is obvious there are "inner" problems both management, players, and Directors, these have to be sorted out asap. KMS.
Wow Cavani!!! 2 assists and a goal!!! I think he is one of the best players in the world at the moment.... he has such a great ability, he could could play in any team in the world and succeed!!!!!!!
I don't know about AVB, but I do know that Chelsea's squad is not nearly as good as it was a couple of years ago.
The only players in the starting 11 that would have got a game 5 years ago(taking form into account) would probably be Juan Mata, maybe Sturridge and that would be it!
Bosingwa - Not good enough
Cahill - Not good enough
Cech - Lost a lot since the head injury and now not good enough
Drogba - Worst form since joining Chelsea
Ramires - Not good enough
Luiz - Woeful
Meirles - Not good enough
Malouda - Not good enough(only had 1 good spell in his career)It's hard to judge AVB when you look at the poor quality of player that is part of the Chelsea squad. I certainly wouldn't be judging him against Mourinho considering the superior players he had at the time!
