    • 90'+3 FULL-TIME: Porto 1-0 Malaga. Joao Moutinho's neat finish gives the Portguese a narrow first leg lead.
    • 90'+2 Three minutes of added time to play.
    • 90+1' PORTO sub: Lucho Gonzalez replaced by Andre Castro.
    • 90' Free-kick to Malaga just inside the Porto half. aAchance to pile everyone forward.... but the flag goes up and Porto survive.
    • 89' The home support have other ideas though. They want that second goal.
    • 88' Porto keeping the ball. they seem content with the one goal and the shut out.
    • 87' Elsewhere in the CL tonight, it's looking rather difficult for Arsenal who trail 3-1 at home to Bayern Munich.
    • 86' Neither side pushing in the final stages. It's gone very quiet out there.
    • 85' Moutinho has been superb for Porto tonight. Solid in the middle, creative on the ball and it's his goal that spearates the teams.
    • 84' If it remains the same it will be an intriguing second leg in Spain. Six minutes plus added time to change that for both teams though.
    • 83' Time running out for Malaga. They've made all of their changes but still don't look likely in the final third.
    • 82' Great headed clearance by Antunes as Porto threaten again.
    • 81' Moutinho is back on his feet and play resumes.
    • 80' Camacho makes an immediate impression by taking out Moutinho. Ouch!
    • 79' Martinez misfires in front of goal but his blushes are spared by the sight of the flag.
    • 78' Double sub for Malaga. Lucas Piazon on for Baptista AND Iturra goes off for Ignacio Camacho.
    • 77' This time Malaga's defence gets it wrong but Lucho's tame shot is easily held by Willy.
    • 76' Moutinho delivers but it's brilliantly defended by Jeremy Toulalan.
    • 75' Iturra booked.
    • 74' It comes to nothing and Atsu powers away only to be fouled by Manuel Iturra.
    • 73' Free-kick to Malaga 45 yards from goal. This is as good a situation as the Spaniards have had.
    • 72' Atsu races down the left and cuts the ball back across goal but once more Sanchez is there to clear.
    • 71' Porto have had 62 per cent of the ball and 14 attempts at goal. They are well worth their lead but chances have still been few and far between.
    • 70' PORTO sub: Izmailov replaced by Christian Atsu.
    • 69' Rodriguez teases in a cross but Sanchez is there again to clear.
    • 68' It looks like Portugal may be an unhappy hunting ground for Malaga. They have only lost one of their 24 games in European competition - qualifiers included. However, that defeat was in Porto against Boavista back in March 2003 (UEFA Cup quarter-finals).
    • 67' Porto seem content with the one-goal advantage at present. Neither side probing with any real pace or urgency.
    • 66' STAT ALERT: Porto have only ever lost one of their 11 Champions League games at home in the knockout stages (v Manchester Utd, April 2009).
    • 65' Malaga enjoying some possession. This must be their best spell so far tonight.
    • 64' First throw of the dice by Pellegrini as he tries to get his team back in this.
    • 63' Malaga sub: Francisco Portillo on for Joaquin.
    • 62' Yet another corner to Porto but once again it comes to nothing.
    • 61' Here come Porto hungrily chasing more goals. It's another corner but Willy is out and gathers well.
    • 60' An hour played and Malaga have offered pretty much nothing in the attacking third. Surely it's time for a change in attack?
    • 59' Rodriguez turns past two and curls a shot just wide. A good impact from the substitute.
    • 58' Malaga need to step up their game now. Porto have the momentum and that crucial opening goal.
    • 57' Porto sub: Varela replaced by James Rodriguez.
    • 56' GOAL! Moutinho gives Porto the lead. Fernando delivers a great cross for the late run of Moutinho who slots home with a neat first-time finish.
    • 55' Danilo shoots from 20 yards... well wide of target.
    • 54' Great chance for Porto! a cross from the left falls invitingly for Izmailov but he miscues his shot and Willy claims when he should have been picking the ball out of the net.
    • 53' Joaquin delivers but it's too close to Helton.
    • 52' A rare attack from Malaga leads to a corner after Sanchez had got in down the left with a clever overlapping run.
    • 51' It was Lucho's shot from the edge of the area that was blocked in the lead up to the corner.
    • 50' Again, it's well defended at the near post by Malaga.
    • 49' Corner to Porto.
    • 48' Malaga's impressive first half stats continue: They are the only team yet to concede a first-half goal in the Champions League this season.
    • 47' STAT ALERT: Porto's 37 games against Spanish sides have left them with this overall record: W12 D5 L20 (W7 D3 L7 in Porto).
    • 46' The second half gets underway.
    • 45'+1 HALF-TIME: Porto 0-0 Malaga.
    • 45' Great feet by Izmailov but his fizzing shot crashes well wide of the far post.
    • 44' Despite the wealth of attacking talent on the pitch there hasn't been too much by way of goalmouth action in this first half. Porto are dominant but are finding it tought to unlock this stubborn Malaga rearguard.
    • 43' It's looking like an uphill task over at the Emirates for Arsenal. 2-0 to Bayern as it stands.
    • 42' Moutinho is at the heart of everything now. This time he tries a speculative 30-yard shot that almost deflects into Martinez's path. Fortunately for Malaga he can't quite control it and it rolls out for a goal kick.
    • 41' Moutinho nutmegs Baptista and is brought crashing to the floor for a free-kick. Great skill once again by the Portugal international.
    • 40' Danilo exchanges a one-two with Lucho Gonzalez and curls a left-footer well wide from the edge of the box.
    • 39' Another sublime pass by Moutinho releases Martinez who miscues his shot from a tight angle.
    • 38' Great vision by Moutinho sets Danilo free but he's well marshalled and Porto are frustrated.
    • 37' ATTEMPTS: Porto 7 Malaga 1
    • 36' But once more Malaga defend it well. However, the same problem keeps arising. They can't keep hold of it and Porto launch another attack.
    • 35' And another Porto corner. Malaga will be desperate to get to the break.
    • 34' Another corner for Porto as Martinez is brilliantly denied by Sergio Sanchez after a fine ball and chest control allowed him another glimmer of goal.
    • 33' STAT ALERT! Joao Moutinho completed 310 passes in the opposition half in the group stages, only Xavi made more (551).
    • 32' Porto win a free-kick and Moutinho sends in a devilish 40-yard ball that catches everyone on their heals. A fine centre from the midfield maestro that deserved more awareness from his teammates.
    • 31' Moutinho delivers but this time Malaga hold firm and clear their lines.
    • 30' Porto patiently probing and it's another corner to the hosts.
    • 29' Joao Moutinho tries one from 30 yards... easy for Willy.
    • 28' Sublime flick by Martinez sets up another Porto attack but it comes to nothing. He looks like another fine addition by the Porto scouting department.
    • 27' Antunes wrestles with Valera on the Malaga left and eventually earns a free-kick off the tricky forward. Good play from the left-back.
    • 26' Porto still probing but Malaga have gained more of a foothold in the game over the past couple of minutes.
    • 25' Only PSG conceded fewer goals (three) than Porto (four) in the Champions League group stages this season.
    • 24' Want to know who plays who, where and when? Check out the CL's last 16 fixtures. Champions League Last 16 | Fixtures | Results | Calendar 2012-2013 - Yahoo! Eurosport UK
    • 23' Malaga have never trailed in a Champions League game so far this season but they could so easily be behind here.
    • 22' Neat skills by Santa Cruz on the left flank but he just runs out of space. Malaga need some respite here and he's the man they will be looking at to hold the ball up.
    • 21' Elsewhere, Bayern are 1-0 ahead at Arsenal. Kroos with the opening goal there.
    • 20' STAT ALERT! Malaga goalkeeper Willy Caballero had the best saves-to-shots ratio in this season’s group stages (86.4%) (over 90 mins played).
    • 19' Porto are in the groove now and only some fine last-ditch defending denies Martinez again as he races towards goal.
    • 18' Another corner and it should be 1-0. A near post flick by Varela drops inches past the far post.
    • 17' But here come Porto again.
    • 16' The corner is delivered and Fernando flicks a header over the top from a tight angle at the near post.
    • 15' Martin Demichelis was the defender who got a touch on the ball to deny Martinez a clear sight of goal.
    • 14' Corner to Porto after a long ball over the top almost sent Martinez galloping clear.
    • 13' Elsewhere in the Champions League tonight, Arsenal play host to Bayern Munich. Arsenal v Bayern Munich | Live | Score | Champions League 2012-2013 - Yahoo Eurosport UK
    • 12' Malaga’s last three Champions League games have all ended in a draw and I think Pellegrini would be more than happy if that continued in tonight's first-leg.
    • 11' Porto beginning to build some momentum. Malaga are struggling to keep hold of the ball in midfield.
    • 10' Alex Sandro teases in a cross but Willy is out well to gather.
    • 9' Porto hot-shot Martinez is looking lively. He has already snared 20 league goals this term and has three in six CL outings. He's one-to-watch, particularly if you have a bit of rhythm about you . His nickname is "Cha Cha Cha" due to his 'dance-like' moves on the field of play.
    • 8' STAT ALERT! Malaga are one of four teams unbeaten in the Champions League this season with Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Schalke.
    • 7' Both sides already showing attacking intent in the opening exchanges. No clear-cut chances yet.
    • 6' Porto are unbeaten in their last seven Champions League games against Spanish opposition (three wins, four draws). Real Madrid are the last Spanish side to beat Porto in Europe’s premier competition, in October 2003.
    • 5' The hosts clear their lines and Russian Marat Izmailov forces a fine stop out of Willy on the break.
    • 4' Corner to Malaga.
    • 3' Martinez attempts a shot from distance... good block.
    • 2' This is the first ever competitive meeting between Porto and Malaga.
    • 1' KICK OFF!
    • 19.40 Almost show time. There's plenty of attacking talent on show tonight and I'm expecting a few goals as both sides look to gain the edge in their bid to make the last eight.
    • 19.35 Malaga also warmed up for the game with a victory as they beat Athletico Bilbao 1-0 courtesy of Saviola's solitary strike. It was the Costa del Sol's side's third success in four La Liga outings.
    • 19.30 Porto warmed up for tonight's match by extending their unbeaten run in Liga to 32 matches with a 2-0 win at struggling Beira-Mar. Their last defeat? A 3-1 reversal at Gil Vicente FC on January, 29, 2012!
    • 19.25 What are your thoughts on tonight's game? Get involved on Twitter and I'll post some of your best comments.
    • 19.20 Meanwhile, Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini is expecting a tight tie. He told reporters: "In 180 minutes a lot can happen. Porto are a good team, but we have proved in this season's competition that we are at the same level. It's likely the outcome of the tie will be decided in Malaga. Few people expected us to get here, so these are the sort of games our fans should relish. We believed we could make it this far when we set out and now we are facing Porto, one of the best teams in Portugal."
    • 19.15 More from Pereira: "Winning is our main objective. If past achievements were a factor we'd win this tie, but we live in the present so that doesn't count. Malaga are fourth in the Liga and proved their strength by finishing ahead of Milan and Zenit in the Champions League group stage. It's going to be a hard game. I've watched them twice and they have excellent quality and very good players. They concede very few goals, and can play possession football and on the counterattack."
    • 19.08 Porto coach Vitor Pereira is so fired up for the encounter that he'd willingly dust off his boots and get involved. He told his pre-match press conference: "We're gearing up for what will be a big game. Everyone is looking forward to it. I'd even like to play in it myself. I always dreamed of playing a Champions League match when I was watching from the stands, hearing that anthem. This is the best competition in the world – why would I be nervous?"
    • 19.00 Porto's hot-shot Jackson Martinez leads the line for the hosts with fit-again winger Silvestre Varela also in the starting XI. Colombia international James Rodriguez returns to the fold following a seven-match absence with a thigh injury. However, he is forced to settle for a place in the bench. Ex-Blackburn Rovers frontman Roque Santa Cruz and former Arsenal forward Julio Baptiste forge the Malaga attack. Ex-Benfica attacker Javier Saviola is on the bench.
    • 18.53 Confirmed teams: FC PORTO: Helton, Danilo, Mangala, Alex Sandro, Otamendi, Lucho Gonzalez, Joao Moutinho, Izmailov, Fernando, Jackson Martinez, Varela... Subs: Fabiano, Maicon, Andre Castro, James Rodriguez, Liedson, Atsu, Seba. /// MALAGA: Willy, Weligton, Demichelis, Sergio Sanchez, Antunes, Joaquin, Toulalan, Iturra, Isco, Julio Baptista, Santa Cruz... Subs: Kameni, Lugano, Camacho, Piazon, Duda, Portillo, Saviola.
    • 18.45 Good evening and welcome to our live coverage of tonight's Champions League last 16 showdown between FC Porto and Malaga at the Estadio do Dragao.
  • Summary

    • 56' GOAL! Moutinho gives Porto the lead. Fernando delivers a great cross for the late run of Moutinho who slots home with a neat first-time finish.
