- 45'+2 Alex lines up a 35-yard free-kick... deflected for a corner. Can PSG snatch a lead right at the death? No. It's a poor delivery and the last action of the half.
- 45'+1 Jonas fizzes in a shot that Salvatore Sirigu beats away at his left-hand post. Corner ball. The delivery is good and Sirigu completely loses the flight of it. It arrows harmlessly out of play but it's a let-off for the PSG stopper.

- 44' But here come Valencia. Daniel Parejo whips it in but again the PSG defence is well-drilled and clears their lines.

- 19.30 In a pre-match interview Valencia's on-loan forward Nelson Valdez - who is on the bench tonight - spoke of his confidence that they can triumph in France. He said: "We know how important this is for the club, to continue participating in European competition. I think the PSG match will be crucial for us to discover what level we are at. There are only strong teams left in the Champions League now, so we have to show we belong here."

- 19.25 Meanwhile Ernesto Valverde concedes his side will go into the second leg as underdogs after conceding two goals at the Mestalla. However, he remains upbeat about their chances. He told his pre-match press conference: "The players know we'll have to score some goals. We'll have to be quick to attack while also defending well, because they have good forwards. We need to find the right balance. It's normal PSG are the favourites but we'll give 100 per cent to stay in the competition."

- 19.15 PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti is hoping he can guide his team to the last eight of the CL for the first time since 1995. He told reporters: "The club has a great opportunity, as do the fans and the players – some of them could reach the quarter-finals for the first time. And for me also, it's very important. We need to forget the first leg and concentrate. Valencia have a very attractive style which I don't think they'll change, although they could be more defensive and attack on the break."
