Celtic were denied a famous point as Jordi Alba scored deep in stoppage time to give Barcelona a 2-1 win in their Champions League clash at the Camp Nou. More
90+4' The full-time whistle goes at the Camp Nou, and Barcelona have grabbed a last-gasp 2-1 victory over a valiant Celtic, who have been cruelly denied in the final minute! Lennon's men have given absolutely everything, but they come away with nothing despite their incredible efforts. Thanks for joining us. What is your reaction to that extraordinary match? 90+4' GOAL! Barcelona grab a stoppage-time goal which will surely be the winner as Alba ghosts in to meet Sanchez's delivery at the back post, and he stabs the ball past Forster! What a cruel late blow for Celtic.
90' Villa hits the post! Forster finally looks beaten as Villa drives a fierce shot towards the far corner of the net, but the post denies him as Celtic hold on!
83' Wanyama is down injured for Celtic, and he's looking in trouble as he gets wheeled off. It looks to be cramp, but Celtic cannot afford to be carrying anyone at this stage.
81' Sanchez is replaced by Villa, who comes on tasked with breaching this stubborn Celtic defence.
80' David Villa is poised to come on for Barcelona as Ledley wins a free kick with Adriano booked for a poor challenge.
77' Celtic also make a change as Beram Kayal replaces Mulgrew.
76' Christian Tello comes on for Barcelona with Pedro making way.
75' Unbelievable! Iniesta again dinks a precise ball over the top of the Celtic back four, and this time it is Messi who turns the ball on target, with Forster making another inspired save!
74' Iniesta dinks a through ball over the top of the Celtic defence for Sanchez, but his shot is blocked away again brilliantly by Forster!
71' Mascherano is shown the yellow card as he fouls Forrest with the Celtic sub racing away, and that was very cynical.
69' What a save! Another incisive move from the hosts sees Sanchez combine with Pedro, with Messi gliding in to fire a snap shot on target from close range, only for Forster to somehow claw the ball away!
62' Scott Brown is replaced by Kris Commons as Lennon makes his second change of the match, and Joe Ledley picks up the armband.
54' What a chance for Celtic! Mulgrew drifts another fantastic delivery to the back post, and Wanyama meets it but can only head wide from close range - it's a big chance wasted!
46' The second half gets under way, and Barcelona keep the ball in the Celtic half with James Forrest the furthest player up the field.
- Well, what did you make of that everyone? Can Celtic claim a famous result, or will Barcelona run away with it in the second half? What will the final scoreline be? Get in touch with me on Twitter @Dan_Eurosport
45+2' The half-time whistle goes at the Camp Nou, and Celtic are denied a lead at the break after Iniesta's cool finish drew Barcelona level following the visitors' shock opener! Samaras has finally been credited with the goal, despite it coming off Mascherano last. What a first half for Lennon's side, who led for much of it!
45' GOAL! Iniesta draws Barcelona level on the stroke of half-time with a clinical finish beyond Forster after a slick one-two with Xavi inside the Celtic box, and that was quite brilliant! Barcelona breathe a sigh of relief as the hosts restore parity.
45' James Forrest comes on to replace the injury-stricken Samaras, and what an occasion this is for him.
43' Samaras is in big trouble as he lands heavily on his ankle, and that's a big blow for Celtic!
27' Sanchez whips over the initial corner from the left, and Bartra should score from Iniesta's subsequent delivery with a free header from close range which he directs wide!
23' Jordi Alba is adjudged to be in an offside position as he gets in behind the Celtic back four once more.
22' Close from Messi! A curling free-kick from the Argentinean flies just agonisingly over Fraser Forster's bar. It was a matter of inches.
18' GOAL! Would you believe it?! Celtic take the lead as Mulgrew whips over a precise delivery into the box, and Samaras's header is deflected off Mascherano and beyond Valdes! Celtic are in front, and their fans are delirious!
18' What a move! Xavi picks out Messi on the edge of the penalty area with a raking ball, before the forward chips an exquisite through ball to Marc Bartra, whose volley is parried away by Forster!
2' Big chance! Alexis Sanchez gets in behind the Celtic back four as he latches on to a through ball from Iniesta, but he slides his shot wide of the far post with just Fraser Forster to beat!
1' The first half is under way at the Camp Nou, and Barcelona are immediately into their stride with some patient possession around halfway.

Realistically no one really believed Celtic were going to survive the Barca goal-machine show, and yes, it was very tactical football, but that is wot needs to be done against players of this quality, if Celtic tried to play Barca in attacking play then it would have been a whitewash, atleast 6-0, most teams would have played the same way in Celtics position, and honestly, only being beat by one goal in the dying seconds of the match by a team such as Barcalona, in the Nou Camp is not a bad result. Don't see many teams doing that. As for the Sevco Zombie Nation, don't be jealous cos your team is rotten, we're in the CHAMPIONS league, playing some very good teams, where are you's? Getting knocked out of the Ramsdens Cup at home by Queen of the South... Barcalona v Celtic 2 - 1 Rangers v Queen of the South 2 - 2 (3 - 4 on penalties) Enuff said...
Celtic played a great tactical game. All the people that are putting Celtic down, are being unfair. OK, Celtic haven't got the quality players that Barca have..but who has? Celtic, you did a fantastic job last night, it's such a pity that you didn't get the draw. From an Englisman and an Aston Villa supporter (I wish my team played with Celtic's passion, commitment and bravery).
Credit to Celtic for making it difficult for Barca at the Camp Just shows to everyone that 80% possession and dominating a game doesn't always guarantee victory. In football, the team that deserves to win doesn't always win
Well i am a Barca fan for a long time , and i think what celtic did last night was a good performance. Of course taking to the account the styles of the two teams it should have been barca on the ball and Celtic relaying on set pieces and counter! But they defended quite well taking the play in their own half but a couple of meters away from their penalty area. I think last year Chelsea got lucky to go through as they were so many clear cut chances....so many which werent capitalized! ....Peace
there,s a few arseholes on this web site
a good comeback by Barcelona
Why don't all you pond #$%$ concentrate your energy on your up and coming derby game with the bully wee, instead of making low life comments on a European competition you won't be in for years and years
#142 lucky saves by foster ??? what watch were you watching ? world class saves, and that what is there to do
Hard luck Celtic. You are still in second and in with a good chance of qualifying. Granted it's a big step up, but every team has to believe and you have to believe, Barca is a hard place to go but you weren't disgraced. well done from a Chelsea fan.
Barcelona will not win any champions league this season
Messi was effective when he got ball. Messi played as a signboard because he was surrounded by 3-4 players all time. That was Barca's plan.
Same old sad acts talkin #$%$ worry about your own teams!
A small step above losing to Stirling Albion and being demoted several divisions for shameful tax evasion.
Good effort on Celtic part to show how BUNKER or "park the buss" or Italian Catenaccio is played. Desperate, panic defending with 10 or 11 players at all times, struggling to occasionally cross half way line is praised in UK as good football and "valiant effort". No further comment needed here
