  1. Was Blackpol's formation too defensively-minded for this match? It looks to me that they could have been too 'deep,' inviting Bristol back into their own danger zone. I wasn't there I'm just looking at the formation above and pondering. I hope the tough tackling was well up in midfield, if there was any?
Attack is the best form of defence, No? Not much mention of 'Pool's star performers, either?
Let's get angry about this result and turn it round in the next match. Shades of Rodney Marsh.

  2. In the light of other results, what an opportunity that Blackpool have missed this evening. No sandwiches on the way home I trust!

  3. Blimmin Sheffield Utd!

  4. Looks like Blackpool and Bristol will benefit from the misfortune of others, this evening. But all those final whistles haven't blown yet!

  5. Go Saborío, give us a couple more to turn things around in goal difference!

From Officeboy, on Tue 29 Sep 9:35PM
  6. Might have to settle for a better goal difference than Bristol, be thankful it wasn't worse and say 'thanks for a good game.'

  7. If Blackpool draw this game they will reach the play-offs!

  10. Don't know about 'wisdom,' HR, I think my comments are like hammering nails into the coffin of midtableness, if you know what I mean.

  11. HALF-TIME. So Bristol got their goal. Thought they would. By all accounts, Bristol could have had a couple. But they didn't. That could be significant at the final whistle.
Well, it has got to be guarded attacking play now,'Pool.
Luckily some of the other half-times are going in our favour. Please find an equaliser from somewhere. 'It only takes a second to score a goal'..... and all that stuff.
     Up the 'Pool!

  18. This game and Saturday's; not easy, but not impossible. Then another minibreak. To think, when I first went to Bloomfield road matches they didn't even have floodlights! I think Bristol will score this evening, so get that 'switching gear*' into your heads 'Pool. You'll need to defend lot as well as scoring a couple of goals.
Momentum, Consistency and ......... sandwiches on the coach home. Good Luck, 'Pool!
*Definition of 'switching gear' to follow at a later date.

  19. The teams above and around Blackpool's position will make this evening (Tuesday 29th.) a significant one in this season's championship marathon. Maybe one of the 'Illuminations' could be a flashing league table with Blackpool in tangerine edging up, steadily? Hope they are top by the end of the 'lights.'
    Up the 'Pool!

    From william.vaughan4, on Sun 27 Sep 1:38PM
  20. Don't be tempted by thoughts of going third, Blackpool. Bristol are a useful side. They are at home, like you were against Newcastle. A draw would do very well thank you, but Bristol will make you work for it!
    Good Luck.
