Looking at it on TV, this evening, I apologise (comment­ 6). The 3rd. Palace goal wasn't massively offside.­ It was one of those offside goals that most linesmen­ wouldn't be in a position to risk giving! That is,­ quick change of play, linesman running back, not easy­ to see the player involved. Me, stationary in the stand­ easy to see this build up! The way things operate it­ wasn't offside. In reality it was offside.­ Can't technology be employed for this sort of­ situation? Offside has been @#$% since I qualified as a­ referee in 1970. Can't things improve?

When do Palace and QPR play their game in hand?

I'm beginning to think that putting on an exciting­ spectacle for the fans is less important than getting­ 'a result.'

Blackpool waited until they were two down before they­ played their 'proper game.' When it went to 1-2­ a draw at least looked on the cards. Unfortunately for­ 'Pool, Palace had the good fortune to be allowed an­ offside goal to make it 1-3. I was exactly in line with­ the linesman across the pitch. When the ball was played­ up, the goal scorer had daylight between himself and­ the 'Pool defender. No wonder he was paces ahead by­ the time he reached the box and scored. Two or three­ 'Pool players knew it too but they didn't­ over-complain.
I said to the person next to me 'I­ suppose that makes up for the one that bounced out of­ the goal and wasn't given for Palace a few weeks­ ago!' So there we are, Palace - five goal attempts­ (one hit the post), four goals! Blackpool? - Wrong­ starting line up (sorry Jay). But above all, something­ definitely wrong in defence for 'Pool. Charlie Adam­ looked OK, but only that. Very disappointing for the­ good number of 'Pool fans present, more of a Yawn­ than a Yippee.

I've got my tickets in the 'Arthur Wait­ Stand' but I don't feel as 'Yippee' as­ I did last week! Come on Blackpool. Remember how you­ were able to block out stuff strongly all over the­ pitch and produce goals from various players. OK, you­ do need some luck but it has been said that 'you­ make your own luck.' Don't go soft now, you are­ still up there and other teams may help us on the way­ too? Up the 'Pool.

At last, a Blackpool match I can definitely get to,­ Yippee!
