    Time:90'
    • Ipswich
    • Newcastle United
    • 90+4' The full-time whistle goes at Portman Road with a blend of boos and cheers from the respective sets of fans as Newcastle win 4-0, including a superb hat-trick from midfielder Kevin Nolan! Thanks for joining us.
    • 90+2' Leadbitter and Nolan continue to scrap in midfield as the game peters out poorly, but the result was sealed long ago.
    • 90+1' Roy Keane remains on the touchline with a grim look on his face as the Newcastle fans are in buoyant mood.
    • 90' Four minutes will be added at the end of this second half as many of the Ipswich fans leave prematurely.
    • 89' Edwards launches a long throw in from the right and Counago stabs a shot on target which gives Harper a rare piece of action. Walters is then booked for a firm tackle on Khizanishvili, but he got the ball - strange decision.
    • 88' The visiting supporters are in good voice as their side close out a very convincing victory.
    • 87' Harper showboats for Newcastle with an audacious dink over the head of Walters as the Ipswich forward bears down on the keeper.
    • 86' Harewood brushes aside Peters and Trotter as they attempt to halt his run and the striker unleashes a fierce shot which Wright parries away to safety.
    • 85' Tommy Smith does very well to dispossess Harewood and the 19-year-old stood his ground firmly there.
    • 84' Chris Hughton looks very content on the touchline and well he might. Carroll challenges for a high ball with Balkestein and the Newcastle forward has won most of them this evening.
    • 83' A through ball from Butt sees Harewood almost latch on to the pass but Wright makes a sharp intervention.
    • 82' A vicious tackle comes in from Leadbitter on Steven Taylor - it was two footed but he did get the ball. A free kick is given but no more.
    • 81' Counago and Leadbitter combine before a fine tackle comes in from Taylor to break up the attack.
    • 79' Walters heads over the bar as a cross comes in from Edwards - he has looked the most potent threat for Ipswich by far.
    • 78' Donaldson is immediately into the action, charging down the right before Peters makes a good tackle. Ryan Taylor has a calf injury apparently.
    • 77' Ryan Taylor departs, no doubt as a result of that injury, and Ryan Donaldson is the man to come on in his place.
    • 76' Nolan shows incredible petulance in reacting to a miniscule shoulder barge by Counago and a lengthy war of words between the pair ensues with the referee having to calm things down - utterly ridiculous from the midfielder.
    • 75' Wright clears away with an unconvincing punch before Nolan's attempted lob is cleared away by Balkestein.
    • 74' Edwards jostles for the ball with Khizanishvili down the Ipswich right, before Walters lashes a long shot wide from range.
    • 73' Ryan Taylor is down in a crumpled heap now and the Newcastle physio is on the pitch to see to it as we have a slight delay.
    • 72' Peters again shows his pace down the left for Ipswich before Leadbitter has his low cross cleared well by Khizanishvili.
    • 71' A fine run from Enrique down the left almost creates an opening for Newcastle as he beats Rosenior for pace comfortably, but Wright claims the high ball.
    • 69' Peter Lovenkrands is the man to replace the injured Coloccini and a reshuffle is forced as Newcastle adjust.
    • 68' Ryan Taylor and Jose Enrique contrive to make a hash of a through ball from Leadbitter and Counago is almost afforded a golden opportunity but it does not quite fall for him.
    • 67' Coloccini goes off for Newcastle with what looks to be a hamstring strain with Chris Hughton preparing a substitution.
    • 65' Peters has looked bright since he came on and the Canadian has real pace. Meanwhile, Coloccini is down clutching his hamstring.
    • 64' Marlon Harewood comes on to replace Nile Ranger in attack for Newcastle, and things do not get easier for this beleaguered Ipswich defence.
    • 63' The Spaniard is immediately into the action for Ipswich and wins a good header but no one was there to pick up his knock down.
    • 62' Tamas Priskin comes off now as Pablo Counago replaces his fellow striker.
    • 61' Jaime Peters comes on to replace Damien Delaney as Roy Keane makes his first change that was not enforced.
    • 60' Ranger storms down the right by Balkestein does well to come across and clear under pressure.
    • 59' Walters attempts a speculative shot from 30 yards which dips narrowly over the bar - a good effort from the winger.
    • 57' Walters is put through on goal by Leadbitter but he dallies and does not shoot until it is too late - that could have been a good chance.
    • 56' Ryan Taylor wins himself a free kick in a dangerous area but on this occasion he can only find the wall.
    • 54' Delaney is wrongly penalised for a fair but firm challenge and that is very harsh - just what Ipswich do not need as Taylor has another free kick.
    • 53' To say that Keane looks menacing is an under-statement as his side look uttely devoid of any confidence.
    • 51' GOAL!!! NOLAN NETS HIS HAT-TRICK! Ipswich's marking is diabolical once again as Ranger heads the ball down and Nolan pounces to head inside the near post and make it four! That is the midfielder's sixth goal in eight games!
    • 49' Jon Walters has Ipswich's best chance of the match so far, rising above Coloccini to head narrowly over the crossbar - a good effort from the winger.
    • 47' Two long balls are thumped up to Carroll, who beats Balkestein to the ball on both occasions but Ipswich pick up the loose ball.
    • 46' The second half is underway at Portman Road and Ipswich have switched to a 4-4-2 with Roy Keane no doubt having given his side a good talking to.
    • 45+1' The half-time whistle goes at Portman Road and Newcastle are absolutely buoyant after a hugely impressive first-half display with the visitors leading 3-0! Ipswich have defended very poorly and Roy Keane will be about to unleash a rollicking to his players.
    • 45' Just one minute will be added at the end of this first half with Newcastle keeping possession comfortably in midfield.
    • 44' Roy Keane continues to seethe quietly to himself on the touchline as his side keep possession, but cannot do much with it.
    • 43' Ranger has another attempt at the back post, but he completely misses his shot.
    • 42' Richard Wright makes a stunning save to deny Nile Ranger from making it four! The striker is afforded a free header but his firm downward header is parried away superbly by Wright.
    • 40' Ryan Taylor comes across to the right to take a long throw in, but Ipswich clear through Delaney.
    • 39' It gets worse for Ipswich as their skipper Alex Bruce comes off with what looks to be a groin injury and young Tommy Smith comes on as an enforced substitute.
    • 37' Bruce launches a long ball up to Priskin as another very poor tackle comes in from Smith on the Ipswich striker - the referee is taking a very relaxed approach to this game.
    • 36' The home crowd are understandably subdued as the Newcastle supporters remain in full voice - Roy Keane has a look of fury on the touchline as his defence are a shambles.
    • 34' GOAL!!! RYAN TAYLOR MAKES IT THREE! The midfielder whips an exquisite free kick into the top corner of the net to make it three goals in four minutes for Newcastle!
    • 32' GOAL!!! NOLAN SCORES HIS SECOND! Shocking defending from Ipswich as Balkestein slides in rashly on the midfielder and makes no impression as Nolan slots the ball coolly past Wright to make it two! What a couple of minutes for Newcastle!
    • 30' GOAL!!! NOLAN HEADS NEWCASTLE IN FRONT! The midfielder scores his fourth goal in eight games with a bullet header from Ryan Taylor's free kick which beats Wright in the Ipswich goal! That was very shoddy marking from the hosts, but a great header.
    • 30' Richard Wright waves frantically at his defence to move up as Ryan Taylor prepares to whip in a free kick from the right.
    • 28' Edwards is penalised for a high boot when challenging with Smith for an aerial ball as Ipswich lose possession.
    • 27' Edwards lays the ball out to Rosenior but the ball drifts sloppily out of play - that was poor from the pair in an attacking position.
    • 26' Alex Bruce is caught with a boot in the stomach by Ranger and the defender stays down for a few moments but is fine to continue.
    • 25' The imposing presence of Andy Carroll is attracting the ball in attack for Newcastle and Balkestein and Bruce are wary of the striker in the air.
    • 23' Butt fouls Carlos Edwards deep inside the Newcastle half and that was a nasty challenge on the winger's ankle. Grant Leadbitter will take the free kick.
    • 22' Kevin Nolan is booked for a crunching tackle on Liam Trotter and that was a definite foul which Mike Jones punishes.
    • 20' Two fouls come in from Nicky Butt but the referee Mike Jones gives the midfielder a stern warning which will suffice.
    • 18' Trotter is positioning himself very effectively in the Ipswich half, protecting his defence.
    • 16' Smith charges down the right wing before delivering a cross to Ranger but Balkestein is quick to intercept.
    • 15' Newcastle keep the ball well inside the Ipswich half with Roy Keane out on the touchline urging his players to press the ball.
    • 14' Enrique again finds Carroll down the left and Newcastle's two forwards are receiving a lot of the ball.
    • 13' Smith floats a long ball up to Carroll but the striker cannot hold on to the ball.
    • 12 Coloccini wins a header in the Newcastle half to beat Priskin and stamp his authority on proceedings as Butt picks up the loose ball.
    • 11' Priskin stays in the thick of things with a sharp run after Walters threaded a ball through for the striker.
    • 9' A delightful ball from Enrique finds Nolan down the left but Rosenior is again the man to come across and sweep up the danger.
    • 8' Ranger again picks up the ball for the visitors but he cannot beat Rosenior on his outside.
    • 7' Ipswich attack through Trotter as the midfielder gathers possession from deep.
    • 6' Alan Smith releases Nile Ranger down the left for Newcastle and the striker shows his pace by testing Rosenior.
    • 5' Priskin has another run down the right this time for Ipswich before Newcastle break through Jose Enrique.
    • 3' Priskin bustles his way down the left for Ipswich with Colback in support.
    • 1' After a minutes' applause in tribute of Sir Bobby Robson, Ipswich get the game underway at Portman Road.
    • - The Championship match between Ipswich and Newcastle at Portman Road sees the visitors looking to go top of the table.
  • Summary

    • 51' GOAL!!! NOLAN NETS HIS HAT-TRICK! Ipswich's marking is diabolical once again as Ranger heads the ball down and Nolan pounces to head inside the near post and make it four! That is the midfielder's sixth goal in eight games!
