  10. 'Come on Blackpool,' shouts a virtual supporter who should have zoomed up the M1 this morning. Particularly if 'Pool get another.

  14. I'm watching this game in my brain on about four different screens. I'm trying to imagine what the scenario could be. Blackpool holding out? Leicester all over them? Blackpool: 'we've been there, get past us if you can, we're no whimps! This sounds the most likely option. No time to admire the scenery, 'Pool. Don't have a lapse! Grind out a result if you have to, but no 'emotional wave' please!
Up the 'Pool! (What a wally if we lose.)

  18. I hope Blackpool can win this one, but I have these visions from QPR and Watford. If the 'international break' has dulled the momentum of the August glories, then we might have to settle for a draw. Surely we are better than that! Yes we are and don't call me Surely.

  19. Nothing too obvious gained from watching the Newcastle-Leicester game (bluffing?). Blackpool's performances bear out their manager's strategy of effort, teamwork and a range of attacking options.
Even when he was unhappy with some things, Blackool were getting away draws. Hence, at least a draw should be possible at Leicester. I trust that 'Pool wouldn't run out onto the pitch 'looking for a draw.' They are much more ambitious than that!

  20. Let's see what happens at Newcastle on Bank Holiday evening. It shouldn't be possible for those two teams to keep too much secret. Mind you, do check out all their squads so that we have a decent idea of all their options.
It probably won't matter much for the Newcastle game at home, but I am concerned about the trip to Leicester. 'Skeletons in the cupboard' and so on.
