Reading slumped to a fourth consecutive defeat as they lost 1-0 to Leicester City at the Madejski Stadium. More
90+4 And that's it! Reading somehow fail to win and stay in the bottom three, while Leicester move fifth and only three points off top Toon!
90+3 Leicester seem to have done enough to close this game out, Wellens dribbles in down the right, he cuts inside and can shoot but instead backheels it to HOWARD WHO HAMMERS IT ACROSS GOAL but it flies millimetres past the far post!
89' Howard slides in on Neilson and is booked. He got the ball but also the ankle, a bit harsh.
87' Leicester with a rare piece of pass and move as Oakley cuts on to his left and fires low past Federici but wide of the far post!
81' Matejovsky plays Kebe in down the right, great ball and Kebe cuts it back past McGivern AND HOBBS MISSES THE CLEARANCE AND IT SPINS JUST AWAY FROM RASIAK! That would've been a tap-in! Last touch came off a Leicester player, corner to Reading but it is really unfortunate that they have not yet scored.
80' Oakley to Gallagher with the flick and Campbell is in but the flag is up! That was very close.
79' Campbell is in but a good few yards offside.
78' Howard takes it short, drilled in low by McAnuff and it spins off Wellens's head AND MILLS CAN FINISH BUT HE PUTS IT OVER! Close range but it came at him so quick he can be forgiven.
76' Leicester get the ball out of their own half and win a throw on the right. Neilson hurls it long and it misses Howard but Campbell can finish only for Tabb to block with his body! Corner.
73' Howard wide to Kebe whose cross is good but Brown clears. It falls to Howard who drills in a superb shot but Brown hurls his head in front of it and the ball goes just wide! Brave, brave defending from Brown. Corner.
70' Mills trips Howard after failing to get the decision whe the Leicester striker seemed to foul him and the Reading man sees yellow.
64' READING SUB: Church comes off for Long, with Kebe on for Sigurdsson now.
62' Matejovsky clatters into Oakley and gets a yellow.
61' Bertrand with the through ball, Rasiak races down the left as fast as his burly frame will take him, he gets beyond Neilson and cuts it across goal but no-one is there and it spins to McAnuff who is at a very tight angle, he cuts it back but again no-one is there for Reading and Leicester somehow survive!
59' LEICESTER DOUBLE SUB: Fryatt comes off for Howard, while Waghorn is replaced by DJ Campbell as Leicester go for the bigger, ball-holding option.
51' Waghorn flicks it on and Fryatt has pace to burn, he's through past Pearce and it must be two but another great block by the chest of Federici!
50' Fryatt almost gets through but is offside. That was a gilt-edged chance for Church earlier, how many does he need to score?
49' McAnuff on the right skins McGivern and plays it low for Church on the penalty spot who must finish but again he squeezes it just wide!!
46' Second half underway at the Madejski!!
45+2 Reading trail at half-time, 1-0 after dominating. Same old story.
45+1 Reading are falling apart now as Fryatt races clean through after an excellent through-ball from Wellens but Federici makes himself big and blocks the finish!
45' Predictably Leicester take the lead! Just before the break after Reading dominated! Poor marking from the corner, Waghorn allowed to sneak ahead of Sigurdsson to flick the header across Federici into the far corner.
40' Reading counter, McAnuff on the right, inside to Matejovksy who plays Church in with an outrageous backheel but the Wales striker again scuffs it well wide!
37' Great delivery from the left but headed behind by Brown for a corner on the right. A well-worked short one from Reading, Howard to Matejovksy who slips it to CHURCH WITH THE LOW FINISH BUT A GREAT STOP LOW DOWN FROM WEALE! Corner again!
34' Long ball towards the Leicester area, Rasiak half-wins the flick-on but it rebounds back to him off a Leicester shirt and he pings it through to Church, who is clean through and onside and he must score but he scuffs the finish and it bobbles inches wide of the right-hand post! Another super chance for Reading, another one wasted!
31' Reading still have it, McAnuff down the right, a wicked cross that Weale can only palm away, half-cleared by Leicester to Matejovsky on the edge of the box, super skill to turn and he fires on goal but straight down Weale's throat! More good play from the Royals, but no end product.
29' Waghorn gets it on the edge of the box but unfortunately he slips, he still manages to get a toe on it to feed GALLAGHER FROM THE EDGE OF THE D BUT HIS CURLER GOES JUST OVER!
25' McAnuff with an outrageous backheel flick to Church, who gives it back to him on the right and drives it across Weale and it's going in but off the inside of the post! It drops at McAnuff at pace and he gets a touch on it and Howard must tap it in at the far post but it spins just away from him and out! Hugely unlucky for Reading.
20' Great ball throuh by Matejovksy to free Rasiak who is clean through but the flag is up! That was very, very tight, Neilson played him on. Weale was out like a flash to save but Rasiak had already seen the flag.
15' Taken quickly by Matejovsky, diagonal and low to Rasiak on the left-hand corner and the Pole takes it early, putting it low to the far corner and it beats Weale, who got down late, but goes just wide!
8' Leicester on the offensive now, clever one-touch play just inside the Reading box but they clear it. For some reason the home defenders stop playing, thinking there was an offside, but there's no flag and Gallagher slips it inside to Fryatt who drills in a low shot that goes wide of the far post.

easy win for the mighty Foxes.. Fryatt should have had 2.. Oakley 1.. and what a miss by Howard late on !!!..HE COULD PLAY FOR READING WITH THAT FORM !!!!..should have been Reading 4 Foxes 6 !!!

I am a boro fan and think nigel pearson is probably the best prospect for a future england manager. He saved southampton and carlisle now he has transformed leicester into serious promotion candidates. Im suprised boro never went for him but im glad he stayed at the foxes cause i would like to see what he can do there. Also hope u reading stay up cause of what they have achieved in the last few years.

RODGERS!!!!GO F?K ING HOME AND NEVER COME BACK!!!CAN TAKE MADEYSKI WITH YOU !!!!TWO F G S ERS!!!!!

from jib. The mighty blue army are going all the way. Forget about newcastle and west brom! COME ON THE PREMIER LEAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You've had your fun. To be fair you've been punching above your weight for a couple of years so it looks like your going back where you came from Div 3. COME ON LEICESTER!!!!!!

we are @#$%, fat @#$% rodgers needs to @#$% off back to watford or become a carsales man but just to clear it up we are @#$%, @#$% players tight fisted chairman no money just plain @#$%, why the @#$% have we got rasiak for??? southampton did't want him so why the @#$% have we got him, could't score with jordan let alone a goal!!!!!!!!!!! @#$%,

It's a shame Reading are in this position, personally i think it is the manager trying to be too clever thinking the players have the same skills as when he was coach at Chelsea. They need a new manager, get back to a more trusted 4-4-2 formation with some wins under their belt the confidence will come back. I used to go and watch the Royals play quite a lot as they are local to me (although I'm a Boro fan) and its sad to see them this way. Southgate would do better ;o)

Go READING Go!!! Final SCRORE READING 1 - 1 LEICESTER

who is available to manage Reading in Div 1

Reading have had their taste of the big time in the premier league. Now they are on that slippery slope to the lower regions of football. Soon you will be playing Oxford Utd in the Blue square table. Your players that took you the top flight didnt stay loyal to the club so you are doomed to lower league football in the future. Even Steve Coppell cant save you if he returned. So soon it will be Oxford Utd 10 Reading nil
Alan from west oxfordshire

Poopr old Reading. Rodgers left us at Watford saying he loved Reading and wanted to be there. Shame for Reading as he will stay because he likes Reading and the club wont sack him untill it's too late. Come on Leicster!!!

Brendan Rogers, you're getting sacked in the morning, thats if your players don't start playing better!

never mind bye bye rodgers, bye bye reading. i heard reading town have more wins at home.
mighty reading (joke of the week) sir john you make me proud sell your ground and build a supermaket or high storey flats like coley park.

5 3 2 no wonder we are rubbish, time for him to go
Geoffg

how did that idiot madeski think a loser like rodgers was going to manage a club like reading for gods sake he nearly took watford donev last season i dont care who we get as manager as we will still be relegated

Come on Reading, we don't deserve to be One - Nil down

I am sick of Reading's poor performances this season, I support Reading coz they are 11 miles away from my home town.Thought i would do the right thing and support my local team. I should have supported wycombe ha ha!!

Reading achieved the highest points ever in the Championship could they now become the first team to get the HIGHEST as well as the LOWEST
Sir John dont`t waste your money Reading Town centre waste it on Reading Football Club
