    • 90'+4 THE WHISTLE GOES - AND SWANSEA HAVE WON THE DERBY! A superb football match that was played almost entirely in brilliant spirit, and we've had five cracking goals to boot. Pratley and Bessone will be the Swans' heroes tonight, a brilliant win for them - but a blow to Cardiff's Championship hopes.
    • 90'+4 One more chance for the Swans as Pintado is taken out - yellow card for Gerrard!
    • 90'+4 A lovely cross in from a free kick on the left, and Bothroyd is there - but de Vries latches on to it and grabs the ball well!
    • 90'+2 Time and again Cardiff put the ball in the box, time and again the white shirts of the hosts get there first to clear the danger...
    • 90' Four added minutes to come! Can Cardiff make anything happen?
    • 88' Swansea look to have opened Cardiff up once again, but the Bluebirds clear the decks.
    • 87' Orlandi puts a cross in from the right fopr Van der Gun, but the Dutchman's finish goes just over the bar!
    • 86' Swansea keep on coming forward in wave after wave... Cardiff can't get a look in at the moment.
    • 85' Butler comes through the middle and lays off for Pintado, but he's beaten to the ball by the Cardiff defence.
    • 84' A long ball up the left flank for Pintado is hit too hard, and Cardiff regain the ball.
    • 83' It's a lot of midfield pinball at the moment - but still the Swans are looking the more likely to score.
    • 82' The brilliant Dyer is coming off, replaced by Thomas Butler on the right flank.
    • 80' Matthews buns in a long ball from the right but it's straight at De Vries.
    • 79' Great chance building for the Swans with Dyer on the ball again, but his final ball to Pratley is woeful and goes straight to a defender.
    • 78' Cardiff win a free kick on the right, 10 yards inside the Swansea half - McCormack puts the ball staight into the six-yard box, but there are no blue shirts there to put de Vries under pressure.
    • 77' Joe Allen comes off, and Andrea Orlandi comes on to the pitch for Swansea.
    • 76' Dyer comes up the right, but he is well tackled by Hudson - great timing to end a dangerous-looking situation.
    • 75' Sousa is planning to make another change...
    • 74' Nice holding up of the ball by Dyer, and he lays it off to Allen - but Matthews is there to clean up.
    • 73' Swans have the throw, but the ball in is cleared.
    • 72' Swansea now try to slow the game down a little - here's Pratley on the ball drifting out to the right flank.
    • 71' Ledley makes a good run past several Swansea players - but strangely, he's heading in the wrong direction.
    • 70' McCormack puts the free kick into the near post, but there's nobody there to attack it.
    • 70' A late, reckless challenge from Nathan Dyer on Joe Ledley gets him in the book.
    • 69' Solomo Taiwo comes on to replace Tony Capaldi at right-back.
    • 68' Cardiff push forward trying to get something going - they face going six points behind Newcastle unless they can get something out of this match.
    • 66' Craig Beattie comes off, Gorka Pintado comes on - a Spanish striker with a Kevin Pietersen circa 2005 peroxide streak in the centre of his hair.
    • 65' The ball gets bogged down in the centre of the pitch as the Swans push up field, with the Bluebirds terrified of giving away another.
    • 64' The crowd noise is unbelievable now... what a match!
    • 63' Cardiff now charge forward, pumping in speculative balls - but Swansea's back four keep punting the danger back upfield.
    • 62' Bessone only started today because of Monk's injury in the warm-up, but if that turns out to be the winner then he and Pratley won't be able to pay for a drink in Swansea for the rest of the year!
    • 61' Bessone puts in a lovely cross from the left... AND PRATLEY IS THERE! A beautiful finish from the edge of the six-yard box, but it was that gorgeous ball in that made it happen!
    • 60' That's a good chance for Cardiff, but now Swansea come again...
    • 59' Ross McCormack to take the free kick from 27 yards... AND IT HAMMERS AGAINST THE CROSSBAR!!! A truly stunning strike that had the keeper beaten, as good as anything you could see anywhere and very unlucky not to go in.
    • 58' Cardiff come forward with Matthews looking menacing in the centre of the pitch... and Britton takes him out ruthlessly, earning a spot in the book.
    • 57' Pratley takes the corner, and it's hit low and hard into the path of Craig Beattie - he connects well, but can't keep the ball down.
    • 56' Dyer puts in a great ball, and it's cleared for a corner.
    • 55' The pace has been slowed a little as the two defences have closed the gaps better in this half... and Swansea are dealing with the new pattern of the game better.
    • 54' Beattie ends up with the ball on the edge of the six-yard box, but the Swans striker just can't find the space he needs to turn and shoot - he lays the ball off for Bessone, who fires... but his effort is blocked.
    • 53' Swans are furious at the decision - but now they come again...
    • 52' Lovely ball from left-back Bessone opens up Dyer on the right to run down and put a ball in - Allen is there, but is muscled off the ball and onto the floor in the six-yard box. No penalty says the ref!
    • 50' Swansea are hanging on to the ball whenever they can - clearly their tactic is to deny Cardiff possession in this half.
    • 49' Swansea's enterprising centre-back Rangel pushes forward yet again, but the final ball is lacking and Cardiff keeper Marshall collects.
    • 48' The ball is whipped in by Ross McCormack, but it's hammered clear by Tate.
    • 47' Tate shoves over Gerrard to concede an attacking free kick from the right touchline...
    • 46' Straight away a lovely run up the right with a jinking touch puts Dyer in place to deliver a cross for Swansea, and the ball finds Pratley - but his effort runs meekly off the pitch.
    • 46' The referee gets the second half under way at th Liberty Stadium - let's hope the second period lives up to the first...
    • 45'+4 The referee blows to bring a fantastic half of football to a close. Swansea tore their visitors to pieces in the first 20 minutes and only David Marshall stopped them being more than two goals clear - but Cardiff's ruthless finishing has got them right back in it. Fantastic entertainment - bring on the second half!
    • 45'+3 Swansea win a corner, one last chance before half-time...
    • 45'+2 Swansea are in the ascendancy now, trying to reestablish their lead before half-time.
    • 45'+1 Pratley makes a darting run into the box, and wins a corner. Tate gets a header on target, but it's not delivered with power and Marshall grabs it out of the air.
    • 45' HANDBALL! Hudson clearly appears to arm the ball down in the box, but neither referee or linesman are interested in the appeals of the Swansea attackers.
    • 44' Cardiff are looking great now - McCormack has another look at goal after beating the offside trap.
    • 43' Bothroyd takes on Tate just inside the Swansea box, but commits to the shot even as the defender loses his footing - he shakes his head, knowing that if he'd held off he'd have had just the keeper to beat.
    • 42' Good half-chance for Cardiff as Gavin Rae latches onto the ball just outside the box, calmly waits for it to come to him and then hits a gorgeous-looking strike that is only prevented from zinging into the top corner by a deflection.
    • 41' The free kick comes in but Williams is there to nod the ball clear for Swansea.
    • 40' Cardiff win a throw on the right, and Matthews puts in his long chuck down the line - Cardiff are pushing now, and win another free kick.
    • 38' There's another coming together between a couple of players, this time with Pratley going down in the Cardiff box, but the ref again calms down this potentially volatile derby game.
    • 37' Swansea defender Rangel is elbowed in the back by McCormack, who then shoves him in the chest for complaining - the ref has cause to brandish cards, but instead brings the skippers over to calm the whole thing down. Sensible stuff.
    • 36' Sousa looks like he's about to give birth to an iguana as he hops up and down on the touchline, while Dave Jones appears to be channelling the philosophical calm of a medieval saint...
    • 35' AND IT'S AN EQUALISER!!!!! McCormack's cross is inch perfect to the far post, and it's Bluebirds skipper Mark Hudson who is there to head unstoppably home!!!! What a match!
    • 34' Free kick to Cardiff, 28 yards out in the right half - McCormack will take...
    • 33' That's Bothroyd's fifth of the season, but he's scored in each of his last three matches - and he's brought the game alive!
    • 32' Great long ball up through the centre is brilliantly chested down by Jay Bothroyd - he's beaten the offside trap - AND IT'S A STUNNING FINISH FROM THE STRIKER!!! Straight in the bottom left corner, giving de Vries no chance.
    • 31' Swansea are looking superb today, but Cardiff have shown some promise in the last 15 minutes or so - and David Marshall between the sticks has saved two crackers.
    • 30' Cardiff come forward and win a free kick in the centre of the pitch and just inside the Swansea half.
    • 29' Pratley takes the resulting corner, but although Allen picks the ball up Cardiff hold firm and close out the danger.
    • 28' NEARLY ANOTHER ONE FOR SWANSEA!!! Joe Allen is fed the ball five yards outside the box and unleashes a lovely strike, but Marshall dives brilliantly to save what seems a certain goal!
    • 27' Stunning run from Cedric Van der Gun, who dribbles almost clean through the Cardiff defence... but just overbalances as he seems to have the goal at his mercy! Crying shame, that would have been the solo goal of the season so far.
    • 26' Cardiff keep trying to hang on to the ball a bit better, but Burke is dispossessed just as he is about to cross.
    • 25' Half-chance for Cardiff as McCormack tries to flip one over the keeper as he lunges after a loose ball - it's well over the bar, but an intelligent shot.
    • 24' Cardiff win a free kick just inside the Swans' half but it's headed clear.
    • 23' It's been a breathless first half of this half and every member of the crowd seems to be on their feet and singing!
    • 21' Adam Matthres puts in a long throw for the Bluebirds and Anthony Gerrard gets the ball - but his shot is well blocked by Williams.
    • 20' Rangel pushes up the right for the Swans and it's another promising-looking move, but ended as they lose the ball and Rangel mistimes a tackle trying to get it back.
    • 19' Swansea are hanging on to the ball nicely now, able to relax and take charge of this match with that two-goal cushion.
    • 18' Cardiff have a long free kick put into the box, but the Swans defence is not the second meanest in the Championship for nothing.
    • 17' What a start for Swansea! Cardiff boss Dave Jones looks absolutely gutted - but oddly, Paulo Sousa still looks nervous.
    • 16' Bessone comes up the left for the Swans, and lofts the ball into the box... Swansea's Leon Britton is there, but appears to be shoved over... BUT PRATLEY IS THERE AND SCORES WITH A BRILLIANT BICYCLE KICK!
    • 15' McCormack fires in a nice-looking corner, but Rangel heads clear and the Swans come forward again.
    • 14' The visitors have woken up a bit now, and win a corner themselves up on the left - it's nodded straight out for a second corner.
    • 13' Cardiff finally make a foray foward, and Gavin Rae is trying to make space to shoot from just outside the box - but he's well tackled by Tate.
    • 12' The Swans push forward again, and win a corner on the left side this time - Pratley takes, but it's straight into the side netting.
    • 11' That's a massive goal for Swansea, who for all their solid play have struggled to find the net this season...
    • 10' The free kick is lofted in - THE KEEPER STUMBLES... AND SWANSEA SCORE!!! It's Nathan Dyer who nods the ball into the net while poor old David Marshall is still struggling to his feet!
    • 9' The corner comes to nothing, but the Swans now win a free kick up near the right corner...
    • 8' Rangel tries to link up with Pratley, but the tackle comes in and a corner conceded to the Swans.
    • 7' Rangel is pushing up from the back and Cardiff are under more pressure...
    • 6' The flick-on that made Beattie's brilliant chance earlier came from a superb flick-on by Pratley.
    • 5' Tate is left alone by the Cardiff defence as he moves forward - and he unleashes an impressive shot from 30 yards that Marshall spills... but then recovers.
    • 4' The crowd are going bananas after that early promise shown by the home side and the hosts are keeping the ball and pushing well.
    • 3' Great move from Swansea, and a brilliant flick-on puts Beattie through - HE MUST SCORE - but NO! Great save by Marshall, who closed him down and blocked fearlessly.
    • 2' First opening is for the Bluebirds who force a throw-in on the right flank, but the long lob is well cleared.
    • 1' The match gets under way with huge roars from the crowd - you can feel the emotion spilling out!
    • - We've just heard that Swansea defender Monk was injured in the warm-up and been replaced by Bessone. Serran comes on to the bench.
    • - This is great to see: local lad John Hartson - a Swans fan - is at the ground today and looking bright and healthy. He's finished his chemotherapy, and things are going as well as can be expected.
    • - Swansea manager Paulo Sousa has got pretty much a clean bill of health - but once again striker Lee Trundle will start on the bench as his boss plays with a lone target man.
    • - The bad news for Cardiff boss Dave Jones is the loss of Michael Chopra, the top scorer in the Championship.
    • - Cardiff can go top with a win - though Newcastle and West Brom will both have chances later today to leapfrog them.
    • - The referee today didn't have far to travel: Lee Probert is from Wiltshire, not far over the Severn Bridge.
    • - Cardiff: Marshall, Matthews, Capaldi, Gerrard, Hudson, Ledley, Rae, Kennedy, Burke, Bothroyd, McCormack. Subs: Enckelman, Gyepes, Quinn, Taiwo, Scimeca, Comminges, Feeney
    • - Swansea: De Vries, Williams, Tate, Monk, Rangel, Britton, Pratley, Van der Gun, Dyer, Allen, Beattie. Subs: Cornell, Orlandi, Lopez, Pintado, Trundle, Bessone, Butler
    • - We've just had the teams in...
    • - Cardiff made a solid promotion run last season and are again looking good this year - but the Swans are on a nine-match unbeaten run and looking solid as well.
    • - It's one of the highlights of the season for Welsh football today as Swansea host Cardiff at the Liberty Stadium.
  • Summary

    • 87' Orlandi puts a cross in from the right fopr Van der Gun, but the Dutchman's finish goes just over the bar!
    • 61' Bessone puts in a lovely cross from the left... AND PRATLEY IS THERE! A beautiful finish from the edge of the six-yard box, but it was that gorgeous ball in that made it happen!
