    • 90+4 That's it! Watford hold on! A big win for Malky Mackay at his old club.
    • 90+3 Hoolahan tries to dribble in but fails. Now Drury has it and he goes down and a clear foul from Jenkins, a rotten tackle but the ref misses it! Oh dear.
    • 90+2 Taylor clearly knocks the ball out but Watford get the throw. Boos from the home fans.
    • 90+1 Graham gets it on the left but he rolls the ball into the corner...
    • 90' Hoolahan on the right hits the byline and drills it back AND MARTIN STEPS OVER IT FOR NELSON TO DRILL IT HOME! 3-2! Will there be late drama? Norwich have four minutes!
    • 89' Four minutes added time....
    • 88' Deeney has a pop from range as Norwich commit men. Straight at Ruddy though.
    • 87' Martin Taylor with another towering header away from Holt.
    • 86' Holt hurls himself at the ball again but to no avail.

    • 81' GOAL! GRAHAM AGAIN! 3-1! All that Norwich pressure comes to nothing as some comic defending sees Graham free on the left, he cuts inside and drills a low shot through Ward's legs, taking a touch, and beating Ruddy at the far post. Game over.

    • 79' Good ball in from Drury and Holt at the far post goes down but he is offside and I didn't see much of a foul anyway.
    • 78' Cowie and Doyley do well on the left, now Jenkins can have a pop but the ball is half cleared. Graham has it but he swings his cross out.
    • 77' Norwich still piling it on, admittedly slower than earlier as Hoolahan almost sends Martin in but the ball is cleared by Martin Taylor.
    • 76' Drury races into the box and he falls in a heap with Hodson at the byline. He feels he was pushed but Miller walks on.
    • 75' Hoolahan finds Ruseell Martin on the right but the ball for Crofts is way too wide. Indeed, his run was more to create space for Holt but Martin missed it.
    • 74' The assistant calls ref Nigel Miller over, who has a final word with Mackay over his touchline antics.
    • 73' Holt immediately wins a free-kick on the right, attacking Surman's ball but Eustace is there again to clear.

    • 58' Dangerous ball but Martin clears from Taylor. Watford come again though, Buckley on the right up against Drury, he whips in a cross AND RUDDY SPILLS IT AND MARIAPPA WITH AN OPEN GOAL BUT HE HEADS WIDE! Shocking miss!
    • 57' Graham with the free-kick but Ward in the wall blocks and it bounces out for a corner.
    • 56' The ball comes in to Martin who feeds JACKSON but the shot is blocked. Crofts has it, now Russell Martin but his cross is blocked by Eustace. Long down the other end, Ward mis-kicks the clearance and brings down Buckley on the edge of the box. How that's not a card I don't know.
    • 55' Watford are under siege as Norwich peg them back to the corner flag. Surman with a lovely piece of skill and reverse pass to free Crofts but the flag is up.
    • 54' The noise at Carrow Road is immense again. Watford did what they really should not have done and conceded early in the second half - the momentum with Norwich now.
    • 53' Russell Martin gets down the right and whips a cross over that Hodson heads away desperately for a corner. Norwich are alive.
    • 51' OOOOH A SUPER GOAL FOR NORWICH! Great quality with some rapid, triangular passing, Hoolahan finding Jackson on the edge of the box and he plays a lovely backheel to free Crofts who rifles a low drive into the bottom left. Splendid.
    • 50' Buckley comes in from the left with Eustace making a cute run on the overlap and Buckley shoots but a rising effort veers over.
    • 49' Good play from Norwich as Hoolahan is held up on the edge of the box by Cowie.
    • 48' Fox sells Drury a tiny bit short but he slides in to knock it to Hoolahan. Russell Martin now on the right as Norwich pass their way in.
    • 47' A high ball aimed for Jackson is not the best idea - he's around 5'8".
    • 46' The second half gets underway.
    • - As the teams come out for the second half, Eustace is still whining at the officials over that non-penalty earlier. Give over lad.
    • 45+2 Half-time, a comfortable lead for Watford.
    • 45+1 Two minutes added time being played.
    • 45' Nice all wide right by Surman but Martin loses control. Poor.
    • 44' Hoolahan on the run but his through ball is read well by Martin Taylor.
    • 43' Hoolahan wins a tussle with Buckley in the middle. he looks wide to the full-back Martin but the striker Martin heads well wide.
    • 42' Chris Martin just makes a seemingly hopeless cause down the left but his cross veers out.
    • 41' Hoolahan hares down the right but another promising situation breaks down as his pass inside is poor. Jackson gets hold of it now after Martin flicks on a long ball and he could be in but his powerful shot from the right hits the side-netting! The angle was asking too much.
    • 40' Graham robs Martin with ease, slipping down the left and he could be in but Nelson gets across to clear just before he surged into the box.
    • 39' Jackson chases a long ball but Loach reads it and claims comfortably.
    • 38' Sordell in acres of space on the right but his cut back to Martin is too deep and Norwich clear.
    • 37' The home fans look glum. Very glum. This season will be a touch harder than last year.
    • 36' Brilliant football from Watford as they slice through Norwich on the break. McGinn finding Sordell whose shot is a touch weak and easy for Ruddy.
    • 35' Ward gives the ball away and McGinn could be in but his touch lets him down and the Canaries clear. Martin bombs down the right, now Hoolahan can cross AND SURMAN FAR POST but it bounces just beyond him.
    • 34' Eustace gets his head on the corner, maybe a push in there but cleared. A bit of panic in the Norwich box but they clear in the end. Eustace is furious as he feels Martin pushed him. The replay implies a penalty would have been harsh.
    • 33' Three red-and-black shirted players over this, Eustace and Cowie there... short to Graham who hammers a drive on goal that takes a deflection to fly over for a corner.
    • 32' Doyley with a surging run on the left, he finds Buckley who is taken down by Surman and Watford have a free-kick to the left of the D.
    • 31' The referee has to speak to Eustace who is getting a bit over-excited out there.
    • 30' Is that a lull? The first of the game as a few stray balls from both sides go out for throws.
    • 29' Buckley almost makes it three! Martin on the right finds Sordell, who holds it up and releases his team-mate on the left but a good low save from Ruddy.
    • 28' Martin crosses and Surman heads it on but it bounces the wrong side of Jackson and Loach claims.
    • 27' Cowie is free on the right after a clever ball from Hodson but his cross is too close to Ruddy.

    • 25' Well then. Norwich's return to the Championship has been truly rocked by Watford. The pace of the game is immense and they can't quite handle it. Lambert is furious with his side's defending.
    • 24' WHAT A GOAL! 2-0 Watford! Wonderful angled chest down from Graham to Sordell, who clipped a perfect diagonal through ball first time back to Graham who thrashed a cracking finish to the right of Ruddy. Lovely counter-attacking interplay between the visiting strikers.
    • 22' Surman takes it and swings a super right-footer outside the wall but great save by Loach! Low to his left, tipped behind for a corner.
    • 21' Martin fancies this long-range free-kick effort.... straight into the wall but Cowie broke early and gets a yellow. Another free-kick.
    • 20' Surman knocks it down to Surman, who cleverly backs in on Mariappa and wins a free-kick 30 yards out.
    • 18' Norwich have a corner but Watford can counter. Graham has it on the right, he cuts on to his left but Ward blocks. Now Norwich come forward at pace, Hoolahan finding Martin in the box but he's closed down. Frantic pace.
    • 17' Hoolahan could be in through the middle but Eustace is back defending to block his route to goal.
    • 17' Long from Eustace towards Sordell but Norwich clear that up easily enough. They like to pass it do the Canaries but are not getting their feet on the ball.
    • 15' Both sides have struggled with high deliveries from wide and Norwich were the first to crumble. Norwich kick off and it's aimed long for Martin, Loach claiming easily. I think that goal got a deflection off Ward.
    • 14' GOAL WATFORD! Eustace! A high lofted ball from the right and Eustace has all the time in the world to take the ball down and rifle the ball into the left corner.
    • 13' Martin with a clever flick towards goal but blocked for a throw on the left. Drury crosses after the throw but Taylor clears. Watford counter, Graham holds it up well and Sordell is on the right and McGinn is totally clear but he gets the centre wrong and Ward blocks for a throw.
    • 12' Mariappa gets the fan applause after a good piece of defending to clear from Martin.
    • 11' Graham gets a head of steam on the left but the cross is poor and out for a goal kick.
    • 9' Corner to Norwich on the left that Martin swings in, Eustace clearing under pressure.
    • 8' Corner to Watford on the right. Mariappa swings it in but the ball is cleared back to him. He lofts it far post and Graham arrives far post but his volleyed cross is well over.
    • 7' Breakneck stuff at Carrow Road: First Cowie gets in on the left for Norwich but his driven cross is intercepted by Ruddy. Norwich go down the other end and Jackson almost gets in again but the through ball from Surman is claimed by Loach.
    • 6' Good stuff from Norwich as Drury finds Surman, who feeds Jackson but the shot is blocked! Now Martin gets hold of the ball and feeds JACKSON WHO'S IN but Taylor gets in front of the shot and it lands nicely for Loach!
    • 5' Eustace had an opportunity to join Leeds this summer - but the veteran midfield battler decided he was better off at Watford.
    • 4' It opens up for Eustace who has a crack from 25 yards but the ball flies well over.
    • 3' Watford are finding their groove possession-wise as they hem Norwich back for a spell.
    • 2' Norwich go long straight off, Loach claiming the ball. Graham now on the ball for the Hornets but he's muscled out and Norwich clear.
