At half-time it looked like Blackpool would have their­ work cut out to earn even a draw. Basically, nothing­ was happening for them in attack and their defence were­ struggling to keep up with a lively City strike force.­ Balls were getting through Blackpool's midfield and­ players like Stead were quick to make the best from­ them.
Talk about a 'game of two halves!'
After­ the break, initially, there was only a slight­ improvement. But then the big transformation came with­ the three Blackpool substitutions. City found it­ difficult to cope with a rejuvenated Blackpool­ side.
Lualua looked class, so direct, and Ormerod was a­ 'revelation.' Bringing on Southern tightened up­ the midfield and, apart from a cracking save from­ Gilks, Blackpool came out worthty winners.
The best­ side won, no question. Full credit to everyone­ responsible for making this such a brilliant afternoon­ on the pitch (and God, for the warm sunshine!)

Blackpool have been 'over-achieving' and­ Bristol City have been 'under-achieving,' this­ season.
So I'm not prepared to predict the result­ of this match. Either team are well-capable of winning­ it, 'on the day.'
One thing's for sure,­ with the away fans in the Wedlock Stand having­ un-reserved seating, it might be prudent to get in­ early to avoid having to sit behind a pillar for 90­ minutes!
