    • 90+5' Full-time whistle goes. West Ham 2-1 Millwall. A fiery affair at Upton Park as Kevin Nolan was sent off early on. Carlton Cole put the 10-men 1-0 up on the stroke of half-time before Liam Trotter equalised in the second half. But just three minutes later Winston Reid scored a slightly controversial winner, as the Hammers stretch their lead at the top of the Championship to five points. Harsh on Millwall, but West Ham have worked hard after losing their captain Kevin Nolan to a red card after just 8 minutes of the game. Should be a rousing second half in this London derby. 1-0 to the Hammers at the break.

    • 40' Millwall coming back into the game as the first-half ticks away. Just over five minutes left here until the break.

    • 37' McCartney is getting down the left flank at will this afternoon.

    • 35' Faye clears the ball and it is yet another corner for Millwall. Henderson making a nuisance of himself here.
    • 35' So close for West Ham, Faubert slides in at the back post after an inviting cross from McCartney, but he can't direct the ball goalwards.
    • 34' Henderson misses the cross from the right after patient build up play from Millwall.

    • 32' Free-kick to West Ham in a dangerous position 35-yards out in a central position. Abdou was the guilty party.
    • 31' Faubert is getting some joy down the right as he takes on Barron before seeing his cross blocked in the middle. Better from West Ham.
    • 30' West Ham keeping hold of the ball nicely here.
    • 29' O'Brien cuts in from the right and smashes a shot towards the top corner. Forde is at full stretch to keep it out.
    • 28' Trotter bursts forward then puts Keogh in who hits a great pass towards Henderson, but Green is off his line to clear the danger.
    • 27' Noble lifts a delightful pass over the top, which Faubert can't quite get to. Bit of pressure here from West Ham now.
    • 26' Fenney lets fly from outside the box, but Green gathers down to his right.
    • 25' Corner to Millwall after Feeney releases Henderson with a great through ball.
    • 24' Cole's flick-on misses every West Ham player as the home side come back into the game.
    • 23' The last time West Ham didn't score was at Reading in December, when they had two men sent off.
    • 22' Jackett is barking out orders from the sideline, his side surely need to keep pushing to make their one man advantage count.
    • 21' The game between the two-sides at The New Den earlier this season ended 0-0. Looks as if this encounter is a lot more open.
    • 20' Millwall with 63% of the possession so far. Dominating play.
    • 19' Tackles flying in all over the place, you would expect nothing less from this London derby.
    • 18' Millwall keep the ball as the Hammers are struggling to adapt with 10-men after Nolan's crazy sending off.
    • 17' West Ham have scored in 10 of their last 11 games at home against Millwall, while the away side haven't kept a clean sheet since Boxing day. Surely we will see a few goals here today then?
    • 16' Collison leaves his foot in now. This certainly is living upto the expectation as a fiesty encounter, neither side have really got the ball down and played yet. Frantic first 15 minutes.
    • 15' Header comes in for Tomkins, but is easily saved by Forde.
    • 14' Scott Barron gives away a free-kick. Which Noble will deliver.
    • 13' Feeney nearly gets on the end of a cross as the Millwall fans sing out in the Sir Trevor Brooking stand.
    • 12' Trotter surges forward but Henderson strays offside, the striker made his move too early.
    • 11' Cole does well down the flank for West Ham, but Faubert cant quite meet his cross.
    • 10' The sending off was West Ham's fourth dismissal of the season. They now have to play over 80 minutes with 10-men.
    • 9' Big Sam does not look happy on the sideline, as referee Mike Jones brandishes the red card straight away.
    • 8' STRAIGHT RED CARD! Kevin Nolan is sent off for a challenge on Jack Smith, after he lunges in two-footed. Reckless from the West Ham skipper.
    • 7' Corner comes in for Millwall, and Trotter's effort is blocked at the near post. Millwall on top here early on.
    • 6' Today is also Kenny Jackett's 198th league game in charge of Millwall.
    • 5' As you would expect its noisy at Upton Park as both sets of fans try to stay warm!
    • 4' A goalmouth scramble enuses after a West Ham corner, but Forde gathers easily.
    • 3' Jack Smith blazes a shot wide, after good work down the left from Liam Feeney. Also worth noting Millwall fans have just been allowed the top tier of the away stand at Upton Park...so the bottom tier remains completley empty.
    • 2' Collison's corner headed onto the roof of the net by Carlton Cole, lively start here.
    • 2' Joey O'Brien surges down the right and wins a corner.
    • 1' Alan Dunne's header flashes just wide of the post.

    • 12:28 The Hammers are searching for the 400th win in the second tier today, and they have kept 12 clean sheets this season only Hull have done the same. Millwall on the other hand have won just twice in their last nine games and four of their last five.
    • 12:20 West Ham aim to get back to winning ways, after they were hammered 5-1 away from home against Ipswich in midweek. They are two points ahead of second place Southampton, and are chasing an 17th Championship victory and a fourth win in their last five league outings.
    • 12:18 There are places on the bench for West Ham's two deadline day signings, strikers Ricardo Vaz Te and Nicky Maynard. Also Millwall hand a start to new signing Andy Keogh up front, to partner the prolific Darius Henderson who has 16 goals from 22 appearances this season.
    • 12:16 In the last 11 games between these two, the away team has not won. Hard task today here for Millwall.
    • 12:15 You can also chat with me during the game via Twitter on @JPW8. Give it a try, should be a very intriguing game in these chilly conditions.

    • 12:00 Good afternoon and welcome to live commentary of the much anticipated clash between West Ham and Millwall at Upton Park. 1. There is a rather ugly looking chap on here, goes by the name of Gezzer. Do you do any modeling for Mr patato Head?
Any spare parts will do, apart from your brain, because it's the size of a split Pea!!! Come on you Millwall.

Good performance by WHU. Thought ref was inconsistent (a later studs up tackle by a milwall player should have been dealt with the same way). As for winning goal i just think keeper made a poor punch (he was never attempting to catch it) and just felt embarrassed hence the extended histrionics. Afraid to say Millwall very poor, and as for your comments Papa I wathched that team as well....the game has moved on ....this lot would murder them.

  8. Sorry Kim, don't get ya panties in a bunch eh! Millwall were not robbed either, you had 12 men (including the ref) on the pitch and you were still outclassed! The ref gave us one decision all game, you had the rest, hammers didn't rob you, the ref did! You cant tell me you wouldn't have taken it! Anyway, toodleloo T055ER!

  9. I've supported West Ham since 1946 and I can tell you this current lot wouldn't have got a game in a Sunday League team on Hackney Marshes in the 50's and 60's
They are massively overpaid boys who lack the skill, commitment, brains and ability of the players back then
The Manager Sam Allardyce hasn't got a clue - team selection, game plan, substitutions (there were none back then) and tactics suck
If you'd ever seen the boys back then play managed by Ron Greenwood or John Lyall you would understand

You beat a very poor team that has zero confidence. As for us I can't help but agreeing that we're on our way down again. It's not losing to you that will send us down but the type of performances that we put in midweek against Watford. Seen it all before.
