    • - Well thanks for joining us for that match tonight. What a finish. A shame for all of us who favour the underdog, South Africa really gave Brazil a run for their money, but that's football and it's now up to the USA to continue their remarkable run of big-game performances. It's a tough task though - join us on Sunday for the big match!
    • 90+3 Final whistle, Brazil are in the final against the USA after a very, very close game against South Africa.
    • 90+1 BRAZIL SUB: Kleberson - ha! - is on for Fabiano.
    • 90' Brilliant run by Dani Alves, one-two with Robinho, and he slides it through to Fabiano who is clean through and must finish this but a great save by Khune!
    • 88' Bizarre, Alves doesn't take his shirt off but lifts it up a bit and the ref books him because he showed a message - an utterly harmless tattoo. Pathetic.
    • 87' Dani Alves to take then... and he curls it around the wall and a WONDERFUL EFFORT ZOOMS INTO THE TOP RIGHT! WHAT A STRIKE! A moment on sheer magic from Alves, utterly unstoppable, 80mph and fizzing around the wall and just inside the right-hand post.
    • 86' Mokoena fouls Ramires on the edge of the box, dangerous here for Brazil who have Alves on the pitch who will fancy this...
    • 84' Taken short but Digacoi's shot is blocked, out wide left now but the cross is easy for Julio Cesar.
    • 83' Lucio is furious after he is penalised for clearly tripping Pienaar 30 yards out after some great step-overs by the Everton man.
    • 82' Dani Alves gets his first touch, flying into a shot on the edge of the box, but it's blocked and South Africa clear.
    • 81' Poor corner, cleared by Mokoena.
    • 80' Dani Alves comes on for Santos. Corner to Brazil.
    • 79' A couple of long shots from distance, Parker and Modise, fail to threaten Julio Cesar.
    • 77' Fabiano is furious after Booth puts it out but South Africa get the throw.
    • 76' South Africa really believe they can win this and so do their fans.
    • 75' Brazil attack, Robinho on the edge of the box, he ghosts past one man and could be in here but great defending by Mokoena to slide in and put it out.
    • 73' Booth with an excellent piece of defending when faced with Fabiano, waiting before committing to the challenge and bringing the ball away.
    • 70' Fabiano on the edge of the D threads it into Robinho but Booth hooks it out for a throw.
    • 69' Tshabalala wide to Masilela, cross finally comes in for Pienaar but Santos clears. Gaxa on the right but his near-post cross is too close to the keeper.
    • 68' Fabiano on the right, he cuts inside past Booth and Masilela but wildly smashes it well wide of the far post.
    • 66' South Africa get a corner on the left but a terrible delivery, flying out for a throw on the right, a wasted trip up top for Booth and Mokoena.
    • 65' Free-kick to South Africa but Modise's delivery from deep is headed clear.
    • 63' Fabiano is in space on the right after Booth slips, he hits a low cross in, half cleared and ROBINHO WITH A BICYCYLE KICK but he puts it wide!
    • 62' Kaka is trying to lead by example here, tracking back to dispossess Gaxa on the South Africa right wing, by the corner flag. Brazil attack, Santos to Melo and no Fabiano on the right who skins Masilela and drills it low but easy for the keeper.
    • 61' Santos pulls down Modise in full flight, yellow card for the Brazilian.
    • 59' Modise will take this as big Matty Booth gets up but near post, headed wide by Parker.
    • 58' Great pass by Pienaar wide to Modise, poor control though, he still has it and plays in Gaxa, Santos is furious with his team-mates for failing to track back and he puts it out for a corner.
    • 57' South Africa come forward, Pienaar on the edge of the box, Modise I think with the shot and it takes a wicked deflection off Luizao and a great save by Cesar who gets across just in time to put it behind for a corner!!
    • 56' Ramires gets in on the left and crosses for Fabiano but headed clear... Now Kaka is in and he is tackled by Mokoena, whose clearance hits a team-mate and goes out but a goal-kick is incorrectly awarded.
    • 54' South Africa attack, Parker on the right, he cuts inside and plays it to Tshabalala in space but his shot is blocked by Lucio and Brazil clear.
    • 53' Modise gets in on the left, he's one-on-one with Lucio and cuts inside him to shoot but well wide.
    • 52' Maicon bulldozes his way down the right, crosses far post for Kaka but his header is way over and he pushed his marker anyway.
    • 50' South Africa clear the corner, they can break here but they put it out of play as Pienaar hits the deck clutching his head after he went head-first into Kaka's shoulder.
    • 49' Kaka surges down the left and holds off Gaxa to drill it low for Fabiano but Mokoena slides in to hoof it out for a corner.
    • 48' Long-range effort from Robinho flies miles over. They look somewhat sluggish today.
    • 47' Good ball to Melo but he heads well wide after escaping his marker.
    • 46' Pienaar jogs on and it's 11-a-side so the second half is underway and Brazil immediately win a corner, Santos on the left.
    • - The players take to the pitch, ready to kick off but a quick head count reveals South Africa to be a man short...
    • 45+2 Half-time, goalless and South Africa have been more than a match for Brazil!
    • 45+1 Free-kick to Brazil then, 25 yards out, central, Melo and Santos on it, taken short and Pienaar flies in to block Melo's shot.
    • 45' Masilela late on Fabiano and he gets the yellow card and to be honest he could have hurt the Sevilla man, studs up, on the ankle.
    • 44' Ramires is down injured after Pienaar slid in and that looked like a foul to me.
    • 43' Peinaar gets into a bit of space 30 yards out and he tries an audacious shot that whistles towards the left-hand side of goal and a stunning save by Julio Cesar! Great play, the ref however gives a goal kick.
    • 42' Parker to Masilela on the left but Brazil counter, Kaka on the right, loads of space as he surges clear as he often does, he has support but goes all the way and drills it low but well held at the near post by Khube.
    • 41' Santos gives it away terribly, Pienaar and co break now but they slow it down allowing Brazil back in numbers...
    • 40' Peinaar almost gets in on the edge of the box but Brazil scramble it clear, Mhlongo has got forward and he strikes it from range but well over.
    • 39' Corner to Brazil on the right. Maicon takes and a decent near-post delivery but headed clear.
    • 37' Kaka gets it 30 yards out on the wing, takes it on the chest, he cuts inside, brilliant touch to step inside his marker and he curls a super shot from 18 yards but wide! All brilliant until the finish!
    • 35' Masilela late and high on Maicon but no yellow, just a free-kick.
    • 34' Khune takes it well after Santos chests and shoots from range.
    • 33' Tshabalala on the left, one-two with Pienaar, good pressure by South Africa but they need to release it early as Brazil get back in numbers.
    • 32' Good play by Brazil, Maicon on the right, into Ramires who slides it into ROBINHO WHO MUST SCORE BUT A BRILLIANT SAVE BY KHUNE! Ah offside, Robinho isn't happy but he strayed.
    • 31' Kaka on the ball, he beats one man and surges towards goal in trademark fashion but the ball to Ramires is just behind him and South Africa survive.
    • 30' Drilled well wide by Modise. South Africa gaining in confidence.
    • 29' Tshabalala runs up and hammers it left-footed but parried somewhat awkwardly behind for a corner by Julio Cesar.
    • 28' Free-kick to South Africa 30 yards out, very central...
    • 26' Fabiano penalised for a nothing challenge on Modise. Free-kick to South Africa in the middle of the park. Brazil have not got their usual rhythm going yet.
    • 24' Handball by Robinho, South Africa take quickly and work it well towards the edge of the box, Modise has it and Gaxa is free on the right but he holds on to it too long and Brazil clear! Typical hesitance from South Africa...
    • 23' Parker, Pienaar now Masilela wide to Modise who uses Tshabalala but a poor cross and Brazil clear.
    • 22' Ramires turns 30 yards out and works it to the edge of the box but he shoots well wide. Not sure he's quite good enough to start for Brazil, to be honest.
    • 21' Modise to swing in the free-kick from the right... Mokoena gets behind the defence AND IT'S A FREE HEADER BUT HE PUTS IT OVER FROM CLOSE RANGE!! WHAT A CHANCE! Should have been 1-0 to South Africa!!
    • 20' Santos fouls Modise, free-kick South Africa right-centre which Modise will take...
    • 19' A bit scrappy at the moment, neither side can keep possession for more than four or five passes.
    • 17' Gaxa gets forward again on the right but the cross is too deep, beyond everyone and out for a goal kick on the left.
    • 16' The corner is very, very deep and goes out for a throw on the left.
    • 15' Brazil break and Ramires cuts in from the right to get on to Fabiano's flick but Booth gets across to hoof the cross out for a corner.
    • 13' South Africa on the counter, Santos is beaten easily to a 50-50 by Gaxa who is in on the right and he drives across the face of goal but wide of the far post! Well wide in the end but sloppy from Andre Santos.
    • 12' Maicon on the right in space, cuts it inside to Ramires on the edge of the box and it opens up for him so he shoots low but a smart save to the right by Khune, who holds on to it well.
    • 10' South Africa have had some promising attacks but they tend to panic when in good positions, a cool head would be ideal but Benni McCarthy isn't even in the squad.
    • 9' Tshabalala to Parker in the middle and he has some space here but goes wide right too early and too strong for Digacoi.
    • 8' Brazil knocking the ball around confidently now but given away by Santos on the left.
    • 7' Step-over by Robinho lets Fabiano in but Booth gets it clear.
    • 6' Pienaar sugres forward but good defending by Maicon and Brazil clear. Lucio comes away with the ball and plays it long for Robinho but too long, goal kick.
    • 5' Ramires and Maicon combine, now Fabiano to Kaka, Santos on the left, one-touch play, Melo and Gilberto now, Maicon back on the right but Kaka loses it and Mokoena clears.
    • 4' Brazil slow it down a bit as they look to hold on to the ball, now Kaka with a super ball slipped into Ramires but Mokoena gets in ahead of him to shepherd it back to the keeper.
    • 3' Kaka wide to Santos, he loses it, now South Africa have it but Kaka fouls Pienaar, free-kick to the hosts.
    • 2' Promising start for the Bafana Bafana who have seen a lot of the ball, now Modise in on the left but stood up by Miranda.
    • 1' First half underway!!
    • - BRAZIL: 1-Julio Cesar; 2-Maicon, 3-Lucio, 14-Luisao, 16-Andre Santos; 5-Felipe Melo, 8-Gilberto Silva, 18-Ramires, 10-Kaka; 9-Luis Fabiano, 11-Robinho.
