Hosts Brazil inflicted a rare defeat on world champions Spain, in some style, to win the 2013 Confederations Cup final 3-0. More

I think Brazil played a good all round game. They took their chances and defended well and Spain just didn't do so. When you say fouls weren't given to Spain, then what about the penalty? You'll did not take your chances and it's just that simple. You guys can't even score against Brazil and then whine about it later. Just because Brazil was on home ground it doesn't mean the referees are bias. Just accept the defeat already and stop whining. Neymar by the way was brilliant. If he can't dribble without falling over that means he's light and it's easier for him to get pushed down. Spain played well but Brazil just gave them a run for their money. Well done Brazil! (:
I will give credit to Brazil for being the better team on the day - Spain certainly did not play as well as they are able. However any neutral thinking person has to admit that with double the number of fouls and yet not a single card let alone a red, something STINKS ....who thinks that make SENSE ???? Football once again is being run for politics and the host country is able to intimdate rulings. THAT is a shame !
Torres was the best from Spain and Del Bosque tooked him out. Good job!
Del Bosque should have started Fabregas instead of Torres, you can't compare taihite with Brazil! Anyway.
OMG Did I say Torres s*cks ???????? Read my early comment
Both Uruguay and Brasil had an extra day's rest and did not have to play 120 minutes of soccer in the preceding match. It looks as though Spain's match against Italy took more out of them and too little time to recover.
It is really boring watching Spain play. They bore you by passing the ball and wait to get lucky to score a goal or two. Italy, Japan, and Uruguay were more entertaining than Spain. I am so glad Brazil humiliate them. Germany, Argentina, Italy, and Brazil are the most entertaining teams to watch and any of them can take the World Cup home since each of them has won it twice. I doubt it FIFA let any of these teams win the 2014 World Cup because then they have to make a new one.
I would have prefer Italy beating Spain than Brazil because Europe need to find a way of beating Spain. Spain do not often face Brazil compare to European teams. i still thing Italy are the only team who can beat them than germany, they defend well and attack well at the same time.
how is Europe going to cope with Neymar especially in the champions league. its wicked for other opponents to face barcelona with messi and neymar.
Spain are not going to be ALLOWED to win for political reasons. I agree Brazil are playing well but I have rarely seen them playing so dirty ! I think its about time referees started carding Neymar for all his diving. As good as he is he rarely beats anyone in a dribble as he always 'falls over' first. Spain have been hacked and hacked during the first half and had no end of free kicks awarded but it seems Spain get the Cards and Brazil dont. As I said - Spain will not be allowed to win this match in case there is a riot - a Brazil win is 'INTENDED' to keep the people quiet and next years WORLD CUP SAFE !!!!!! If Brazil lost this game then the people would complain more about the cost !
Who ever disses Torres didn't actually watch the game. Brazil just played like they were on drugs and we hugely helped by the crowd. What did you expect Torres to do?
Never say where is Spain , they are stil d leader. Congrat Dan and Ney
how long is that awards ceremony...half expecting an award for best hairstyle....best hand gesture towards an opposing player......highest number of rolls in a dive....
Not a single card against Brazil yet they did 90% of the fouls and gave away 90% of the free kicks - as long as they were in MID-FIELD. They didn't even get a card for the penalty and yet Piquete gets a red ????
'Fernando Torres Liverpools number nine... na na na na na na na, na na, na na...' Those halcyon days seem a long, long time ago. Where did it all go wrong?
Hahaha...Torres golden boot winner, scoring 4 goals against Tahiti, a nation with a population of 190,000
BRAZIL 3 - 0 IT'S PAIN
Wait. Spain lost by 3 goals , missed a penalty and Pique sent off? In one match? It must of been a dream.
All this about Brazil being great again - is that the same Brazil that just managed a draw aainst England recently ?
@123 - Stuart, good stat, and your point is?
