    • 69' Pique with a stepover and cross on the left touchline and it's cleared away in the Valencia six yard box. Sanchez is caught offside, but he looks just about level. Cesc picks up a yellow card for his complaints.
    • 68' Messi plays the shorty corner, beats two men and dinks in a cross that's inexplicably left by the entire Valencia defence. They get lucky as no Barca shirts are lurking.
    • 67' Alexis turns Mathieu, but the Frenchman sticks out a foot and concedes the corner.
    • 66' Messi threads through to Xavi, who thinks about the return but in the end goes for the lob and it's narrowly over the crossbar though Alves probably had it covered.

    • 62' Cesc and Sanchez get out of a tight spot with just brilliance. Sanchez finally plays Cesc back in, but he overruns the ball as he beats the defender.
    • 61' Puyol heads down for Xavi. It's out to Cuenca, who can't quite trick his way past Feghouli.
    • 60' Abidal powers up the touchline with Miguel chasing him all the way. The Portuguese gets a touch on it and out for a throw.
    • 59' Aduriz is forced slightly out wide, but with Pinto rushing out lobs it over the keeper. Mascherano is on the cover though and heads the shot clear at the near post.
    • 58' Alba can't get away from Puyol and Pique with a couple of keepy uppies to clear the danger. He gets the foul as a high foot comes in.
    • 57' Miguel gets past the challenge of Cuenca, but it's pulled up for a foul. Valencia get a breather just by being on the ball for a few seconds.
    • 56' Xavi takes the corner and there's a flick on from Puyol. It flies across the face of goal and out.
    • 55' Messi darts through the gap in the defence and has to toe poke as Miguel is coming round on the cover, but another save from Alves!
    • 54' Cuenca cuts in from the right and plays a beautiful pass in behind Rami and Messi is on the end of it. His shot is first time and it hits the defender and lands on top of the crossbar!

    • 18' Puyol playing at right back isn't entirely comfortable. He loses the ball, but a mistake and Messi's through! Rami passes straight to the little man, who runs at goal, a little tug from Rami doesn't bring him down, but his shot is saved.
    • 17' Rami deepest played Cesc on, and the keeper should have done better. A preventable goal, but Barca did brilliantly to take full advantage.
    • 16' Goal! Barca 1-0 Valencia - Amazing ball from Messi - about a 50 yard pass and Cesc is at full pelt to get on the end of it. From a tight angle Cesc lobs the ball past Alves, who hesitated when coming out.
    • 15' Sanchez nicks the ball high up the pitch, but Alba is quicker off the march and gets the ball back.
    • 14' Mascherano goes down holding his face as he is caught by a stray elbow when challenging for the high ball.
    • 13' Brilliant ball from Mathieu into Feghouli, who strikes from 18 yards and it's into the side netting! Excellent play from Valencia.
    • 12' Alba gets away with a mistake as Sanchez is incorrectly penalised for a foul as he got past the defender.
    • 11' Thiago's flick loses possession, but Banega can't find the through ball as Puyol cuts it out.
    • 10' Messi picks up the ball, to Sanchez, to Cesc, whose lay off Sanchez can't quite get back on the end of.

    • 8' Barca pressure Valencia all the way back to Alves, who clears long. It's a good ball, but Feghouli can't keep it in.

    • 6' Abidal with a good header back to his keeper and Pinto gets the ball rolling. He's not nearly as good as Valdes on the ball though and his long pass goes straight out of touch.

    • 4' Mascherano commits a silly foul and Banega again puts in the box, this time from deep. The header comes back across the box and Mathieu has a swipe at it, but with his weaker foot and it's not even close.

    • 2' Banega takes the freekick but it's poor and Messi scampers away. Pure weight of numbers stops the Argentinian and Banega takes a woeful shot from distance.

Valencia's badluck hit­ the top corner. If decision by penalty Valencia will­ advance.
