It will be a difficult task going to Rome, against probably the most technically gifted team in our group on paper.
Saying that, on the back of recent results - we went through the whole of October undefeated - we should have absolute confidence that we can go there and get a result.
The main reasons behind our unbeaten run are that we are playing with a better belief and much more confidence. We are generating performances on the pitch which, in turn, are producing results.
The lads that have come in have really stood up and been counted, and with a challenging schedule combining both Premier League and Europa League games, we should be extremely proud of our efforts.
I have been fortunate to have played at the Stadio Olimpico previously and got some good results there with Liverpool in both the Champions League and what was then the UEFA Cup, and I know that the lads are extremely excited about the opportunity.
Unfortunately, I won't be fit for the game, as it has probably come a week too early for me, but I am looking to be fit for the fixture against Wigan.
The old UEFA Cup group format deprived clubs of some big away fixtures, such as the case last year of Portsmouth hosting Milan and missing out on a return fixture at the San Siro.
The new format is great for players' education, giving them opportunities to sample some of the world's best stadiums. It is an excellent experience for players to come up against foreign teams on their home soil.
The trip to Rome is a huge game for us, but not the biggest as some have said. That, in my opinion, was away at Portsmouth when we managed to secure our Premier League status. That game really kicked us on to where we are now. It is a huge game, nonetheless, and one in which we will be positive, looking to get a result.
Blah blah blah. do you actually read any of the drivel produced in your name Murphy? You really are the Dame Barbara Cartland of the football blog world.
lawrence, your a t.wat.. danny murphy is a legend, wtf have you ever done in football, lawrence43. 43 your age or IQ you m.ong
Seriously Lawrence. Go back to reading the notes on the walls of shopping mall toilets. Sounds more like your level. A 43 IQ is being generous Jack.
never mind son maybe you need to give your old team Liverpool a hand. Son put your pen down. Not sure you will get back in the Fulham team son.Danny Who ? ..its coming
The reason why Fulham have been winning all those games recently is because you weren't playing in them!
Oh and the only people who think Danny Murphy is a Legend are bloody Scousers, and everyone considers them the biggest bullshitters in the football world.. to even involve yourselves in a conversation about winning titles when Liverpool have won maybe one or two significant trophies in the last 20 years, not to mention Never winning the Premier League.. yet when you hear Liverpool supporters talk or comment you would think they've been dominating the football world for the past 100 years.. sad really and a shame, everyday i find more neutral's talk about how they detest Liverpool, maybe you guys should start changing your attitude.. start being more humble, especially since your 3 points away from relegation and almost out of the Champions League group stages.
Good luck Fulham!

if PORTSMOUTH was your biggest game, that just shows why liverpool are going nowhere,! comparing portsmouth against the likes of ROMA is like comparing a citreon 2cv against a lotus esprit in performance level, with portsmouth as the 2cv ! and roma are nowhere near the top of serie a either, just be grateful you didnt have to play the likes of JUVENTUS,INTER, or A.C. MILAN.
