The row between Carlos Tevez and Gary Neville has obviously been well publicised but, in my opinion, the incident has been sensationalised out of proportion.

I am in no doubt that Neville was asked a question regarding the value of Tevez's sale and he gave an honest opinion. It has created a bit of bad blood between the opposing supporters and players, enhancing the rivalry even more, but deep down I still believe there is an underlying respect between two very talented players. ...

It was very frustrating for us as a club to have the fixture against Portsmouth postponed last weekend. On the back of a disappointing defeat to Stoke, we were firing in training and keen to get back to winning ways against a Portsmouth team there for the taking.

Transfer window needs re-think

I agree with the idea of the transfer window as it gives both players and clubs the opportunity to make a change, but it could possibly be adapted slightly. An extended summer transfer window may be an alternative which could allow clubs to buy players until, say, November, and that is it for the season.

It would give new recruits more time with their new club and also increase the squad unity, knowing that they had to work together from that date until the end of the season. ...
