Still with the Dutch though but Arshavin gets it and leads the charge, one-two and he has it back on the left and he drills it in low and tipped past the far post by Van der Sar!     • 29' Kolodin with a roughouse challenge on Van Nistelrooy, free-kick to the Dutch on the right... Van der Vaart to swing it in... IT'S A BRILLIANT DELIVERY AND VAN NISTELROOY UNMARKED BUT HE MISSES THE BALL AND IT SPINS WIDE! That should have been 1-0.

"He won't take any part in the match unless we need him in an emergency," Dutch coach Marco van Basten said.     • 32' The corner is cleared and drops to Kolodin about 35 yards out, he takes a touch AND UNLEASHES A SCREAMER THAT VAN DER SAR FLIES ACROSS TO TIP OVER! Audacious attempt from a ridiculous distance.
    • 31' Van der Vaart finds Bouhlarouz but the cross is poor and hammered away. Still with the Dutch though but Arshavin gets it and leads the charge, one-two and he has it back on the left and he drills it in low and tipped past the far post by Van der Sar! Brilliant save after superb play from Russia's magician. De Jong and Bouhlarouz culpable.

    • 19' Van Nistelrooy wins a high ball in the air after hesitancy from Anyukov and SNEIJDER IS IN but Ignashevich gets back to block.
    • 8' Netherlands don't clear the corner, it's back with Russia on the right for Arshavin to cross AND PAVLUCHENKO UNMARKED WITH THE HEADER BUT HE SENDS IT OVER! What a chance! Great start for Russia.
    • 7' Corner swung to the centre of the area... cleared and it drops to Kolodin at distance AND HE HAMMERS IN A LOW DRIVE THAT TAKES A DEFLECTION AND GOES JUST WIDE! Almost fell to Arshavin too. Russia taking it to the Dutch.
    • 6' Free-kick to Russia on the right, Zhirkov to take... and he whips in a superb shot that Van der Sar tips away for a corner!
