  1. Italy are usually slow starters in tournaments, so­ there first few games ending in draws could be­ expected. They need to pound Ireland and that Spain and­ Croatia do not tie. That will get them in the knock out­ round when the Italians will show what they are made of

Howard Webb's linesmen completely killed this game­ for Italy......3 times with phantom offside calls !!!!­ 1 in the 1st half then on maggio in the 2nd half and­ the worst one in the 87th minute on DI natale when he­ was clear in on goal....SHAMEFUL SHAMEFUL­ SHAMEFUL.....howard webb did an ok job refereeing, not­ his fault but his linesmen have done this many times in­ champions league too.....typical UEFA hiring­ incompetent linesmen

  4. I have a question about the card that was issued during­ the deadtime before a corner kick in the second half. ­ There was a foul in the box against the defending team­ (Italy). Ok, it was a deadball foul but since the ball­ was not being restarted from a foul, shouldn't the­ PK been awarded? It does not matter where the ball is­ located. The restart should be the result of the foul­ which in this case should have been a PK for Croatia. ­ No one argued on the field, so maybe something has­ changed about the rules involving these situations.
