- 84' Fair play to the AEK fans, who are shirtless and really singing their hearts out in the away end despite getting comfortably beaten. They don't look like grabbing a consolation either it must be said.
82' GOAL!!! Jo gets on the scoresheet! The ball cokes in from Yakubu and when the defender doesn't clear Jo turns and fires past Saja to make it 4-0 Everton!- 79' CHANCE! Bad miss from Saha! Baines is the man who delivers the ball near post and all Saha has to do is slot it home, but he skies it! Great chance missed.
- 78' CHANCE! For AEK and Blanco is the man who just doesn't get his feet sorted out and is challenged by Yobo. The shot goes wide.
- 76' Confusion here, as about three officials try and make one decision and the end result is.... a drop ball.
- 75' Leonardo is the man who was replaced by Yahaya for the record, as Juanfran goes down in a challenge with Osman.
- 74' Saja comes to collect a cross, but spills it under pressure from Osman. Free kick is the verdict as we see the AEK fans having a ball in the away end. They don't seem too bothered that they are losing. Good to see.
72' Seidou Yahaya comes on for AEK Athens. Not too sure who's gone off, but will update that soon.- 70' PENALTY APPEAL! Baines goes down right in front of the new assistant referee, who clearly gives nothing, so no penalty for Everton there.

- 65' Baines and Pienaar link up again and Rodwell has the shot, which is a good one, but saved by Saja diving to his right!

- 61' Rodwell sets up Baines, who links with Pienaar. Baines gets it back and puts the cross in, but it hits an AEK man and they get it clear.
- 58' Yakubu on the break for Everton and he was bearing down on goal, but the challenge from Arce is a good one.
- 57' Things going from bad to worse for AEK after that sending off and a comfortable evening for Everton looks simple now, but it's AEK on the ball at the moment.
- 55' RED CARD! And that's for Araujo after a clash with Distin. The AEK man flicks out his leg after a challenge and catches Distin in a very painful area!
- 53' Bilyaletdinov has an ice pack on his groin on the bench there, so looks like an injury for him, as Everton go 4-4-2.

- 48' AEK try and build an attack there, but it breaks down on the edge of the penalty area.
46' Underway in the second half and Cahill has been replaced by Leon Osman.- - Fellaini tries the shot and that is blocked by the defender as Everton seek a fourth here. That's the last of the first half action, back soon.

- 43' Pienaar tries to play Bilyaletdinov in, but the Russian wasn't quite on the same wavelength there.

- 34' Everton on the attack again and the shot comes in this time from Bilyaletdinov from the right. It goes just wide.
- 31' CHANCE! Long ball forward from Distin and Jo beats Arce to the header and that's not far wide!
- 30' First time shot from Nsaliwa for AEK there and that one flies not too far over the bar!
- 28' Bilyaletdinov causing AEK all sorts of problems with his crosses and another one there that AEK are at full stretch to clear.

I didn't watch this game but form reading comments from below I understand that it was a great game with great atmosphere. This is how football should be and ppl should appreciate it. I don't hate Everton and I really don't understand the need to insult us all the time. If some of you might think what attracted me to this page, I was just looking if our youngster K.Nemeth on loan at AEK were playing.

If lescott stayed we wouldn't of got billy or distin, and I thiink there doing a brilliant job! Pienaar is just quality and Rodwell is the next big thing! Just hope Everton can keep hold of him!
Well played Everton, feel a bit sorry for the AEK fans though cos I thought they were fantastic support - both sets of fans were a credit to the game with a great football atmosphere.

See folks. I am not an Everton supporter BUT I like the team for 3 reasons: 1-Rooney, 2-It's the arch-enemy of the annoyingly big mouthed Liverpool, 3- It plays nice football without false claims as being the best in the EPL or in the world (again like Liverpool). 4- It's gonna beat Liverpool when they meet next.
