    • FT AND THERE IS THE FINAL WHISTLE. Celtic have lost after having been in control and they really only have themselves to blame. A poor start in the group for Celtic.
    • 90+2 Celtic win a corner but then there is a foul in the box and Hapoel get away with it.
    • 90' There will be three added minutes but there could be more as Douglas needs treatment after that foul from McDonald.
    • 90' Scott McDonald has just come on and finds himself in the book straight away for a bad tackle.
    • 88' HAPOEL HAVE SCORED AGAIN!!!!!! Great run from Vermouth down the left but Glenn Loovens let him skip by him with ease - he puts in a low cross and Lala is there to fire home from close range. Where was the marking? Shocking stuff from Celtic in this second half.
    • 87' Kende slips in another ball down the right for Yeboah but the ball hits a bobble just as the striker was about to shoot and it goes over the bar.
    • 85' Merey looks to be having his shirt pulled in the area but no penalty is given and then the ball falls for Zehavy yet again but he drags a great chance wide of the target. Celtic are HANGING ON NOW!
    • 84' Zehavy fires yet again from distance and this was an even sweeter strike that Boruc has to bat away.
    • 82' Zehavy drills a low shot from distance and Boruc does well not to spill that one into danager.
    • 81' Vucicevic has done his bit and is taken off with Merey coming on.
    • 80' Loovens slides in to clear after good work from Hapoel down the right again. Celtic look weak down their left.
    • 79' This match is starting to open up and we could have a winner at either end.
    • 78' McGeady finds himself a little room on the edge of the area and gets a shot away but it did not have too much power and went over too.
    • 77' Lala tries a shot from distance but that fades well wide.
    • 75' HAPOEL ARE LEVEL!!! It has been coming. Yeboah went down the right and put in a low cross - Boruc cuts it out with his foot but only puts it straight to Vucicevic who fires it into the roof of the net.
    • 74' Yeboah heads over from close range - he should have put it in the net - he was offside in any event.
    • 72' Caldwell slips in Shaun Maloney and he is clear through but the flag goes up. Harsh decision though as he looked level from the replays.
    • 71' Boruc takes his time on a goal kick much to the derision of the home fans.
    • 70' Samaras is still hurting from that fall and it is Chris Killen who comes on for him. Scott McDonald remains on the bench.
    • 69' Hapoel are not creating a lot of chances but Celtic are playing a dangerous game. They have really sat back in this second-half.
    • 68' Natcho off for Hapoel and Eran Zahavi comes on.
    • 66' Young Northern Ireland man Niall McGinn has come on with Landry N'Guerno making way.
    • 64' The dug-outs are sunken into the ground here and Samaras has just fallen into one while trying to control the ball. It looked painful but he should be okay. Just a couple of cuts and scrapes.
    • 62' The ball is checked back to Lala and he has a great chance to fire on target but he scuffs it. Tinky-winky would have buried that!
    • 60' Vucicevic nearly walks the ball into the net after Celtic fail to take a ball that was kicked backed to them. But he finally gives it back. Would have been interesting if he had put it in though. Would the goal have counted?
    • 59' Fox nudges Yeboah and the striker wants a free kick but it was just on the right side of the law from the Coventry man.
    • 58' Yeboah is found in the box but his header is neither an attempt on target nor a knock down. Boruc gathers with ease.
    • 56' Celtic seem to have calmed things down a little as they look to stop the red wave of attacks.
    • 54' Old man Menteshash has been taken off and one of the Teletubbies - Lala - comes on for Hapoel.
    • 53' The home side have really upped the tempo in this second half and look the more dangerous side.
    • 51' If you thought Eduardo's dive was bad you should see this attempt to win a penalty from Natcho. He made a mazy run into the box but then when the ball got away from him he just dived in the box. No chance of an Oscar but he does get a yellow card.
    • 50' Nice move from Hapeol sees Vermot free just inside the box. He drives a shot on target but Boruc makes a smart save.
    • 48' Vucicevic makes a purposeful run but then drags a shot from distance well off the target.
    • 47' The home fans want a penalty as Yeboah kicks the ball into the hand of McManus but there was no way the Celtic man could get out of the way and you will never get a penalty for that.
    • 46' And we are back underway here in Tel Aviv - no changes from either side.
    • 45' The whistle blows for half time and Celtic take a deserved lead into the break.
    • 45' Injury time at the end of the first half.
    • 44' McGeady is halted in full flow by Yadin who receives a card and McGeady is also cautioned for barging into Yadin.
    • 43' Boruc is finally called into action and he makes an excellent save, pushing away a dipping effort from Menteshashvili.
    • 41' Hapoel string some passes together but Vucicevic's ball into the box is awful. That sums up their efforts in the first half.
    • 38' Celtic carve out another chance, Maloney rolls the ball into the path of N'Guemo but he curls his effort over the bar.
    • 36' Hapoel almost break through into the box, but McManus shows a cool head to make the tackle and knock the ball clear.
    • 34' Excellent play from Fox who whips in a dangerous ball from the left that is just too far ahead of the marauding Brown.
    • 33' Celtic threaten again with N'Guemo finding Samaras on the edge of the box. Hapoel look in awe of the Greek striker as they take an age to close him down, but his shot is smuggled clear.
    • 30' Hapoel's response to going behind can best be described as muted. They look a bit toothless in attack.
    • 25' GOAL CELTIC! The Bhoys break the deadlock in fine style. A ball over the top finds Samaras in space, he takes a touch to push it out of his feet and smashes the ball across the keeper and into the far corner. Excellent finish.
    • 23' Hapoel come forward in numbers but Celtic are able to deal with the ball in comfortably.
    • 21' Smart move from Celtic sees McGeady cut inside onto his left foot and drag his shot wide of target.
    • 18' A half chance for McGeady as he picks up a pass from N'Guemo, but drags his strike from 25 yards well wide of target.
    • 16' Natcho flips the ball into the area and Boruc comes through a crowd to gather. Good keeping.
    • 16' Good strength from Yeboah and he wins a free kick in a decent area.
    • 14' Chance! Vucicevic scampers clear down the right, a trick brings him inside his marker and he shoots low - forcing a find save from Boruc.
    • 12' Stunning save! Samaras climbs high to meet a corner from Maloney and his header looks bound for the back of the net, but Enyeama pushes the ball onto the bar.
    • 10' A long ball seeks out Samaras but the Greek striker is unable to bring it under control.
    • 8' Fox delivers the ball to the far post, Caldwell wins the header but plants it into the side netting.
    • 7' McGeady wins a free kick wide on the right in a decent position.
    • 6' A sloppy pass from Caldwell presents possession to Hapoel, but the Bhoys are able to clear.
    • 5' Some crunching tackles fly in in the middle of the park, hard but fair, and that could be the tone for the match.
    • 4' Hapoel have made a bright start and Loovens does well to clear the ball after slipping in his own area.
    • 1' First chance for Hapoel and a decent one at that. The ball is whipped in from the left and Natcho rises above Fox but heads over the bar.
    • 1' Hapoel get the game underway.

  1. What happened McFaggots???

Lost, did you?? Try an appeal, will you?

And if not, well, find a sheep and enjoy scottish style. If it weren't for sheep shagging and whiskey, you'd all be english by now anyway, as you forgot your own celtic lingo.

  3. This is more or less the same team that was 1-0 up in Copenhagen and then lost 2-1 due to a poor defence.
Not good enough Mowbray. Its clear the defence is not good enough and you have done nothing to make it better.
How many more such "grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory" can we / should we take ?

  5. As a massive Bhoys fan I would like to thank ChooseLife (247) for her comments & for those of you like her who have no idea about football, Scotland have no automatic entry to the CL next season. Keep up love. Secondly (that comes after a first point - by the way) Ofcourse Scottish football is a lower standard then other leagues which are solely built on money and having rich foreign owners. It may bring you trophies of the highest level but 90% of your fans wouldn't be able to name a player in your team or have watched the team live. I'll take the lesser of two evils.
Also to the Pompous, Arrogant and Self-efacing Kearney (244 & 245) - how right you are in saying that you would not want us in the Premier League, luckily for you we don't want to be there amongst diving, cheating bigots like you good self. Although a lower standard we like our identity and are happy who we are.

  8. All this result proves is what everyone has known for ages - Scottish football is sh***, national team, SPL both are rubbish, the SPL resembles Sunday Pub football, the 'old-firm' have had it easy for years winning the shameless excuse for a domestic league called the spl and automatically entering the Champions League, about time there places got cut, even the champions shouldn't get automatic spot, they wouldn't have qualified through the play-offs either.
