- 22' Liverpool certainly deserved that. They've dominated posession and attack so far. They now lead 2-0 on aggregate and the visitors now face a very tough task to reach the Europa League proper.
- 21' It's Borini, who buries his effort on his Anfield debut. Suarez picked up a low pass, used his immense skill to trap the ball and skip past his marker. His near-post cross was deflected off a defender, with Borini volleying in the loose ball under the body of Bushma.

- 18' Johnson gets into space on the right. He holds the ball up just long enough to be joined by Downing. Downing passes low to Borini in the box... but he can't find the space to turn and shoot. Good crowding there by Kasevski and Kirilchyk.
- 17' Long ball up from Reina towards Suarez... HE MIGHT BE IN HERE... No. He's caught offside.
- 16' Gerrard and Suarez with some lovely interplay... Gerrard breaks free on the left and is in space... he pulls the ball low towards Suarez on the edge of the box... SUAREZ SHOOTS... but it's too high. That's easily the closest Liverpool have gone.
- 14' Nowak hits a terrific ball up to Alumona. He might have something on here as he surges forward and gets into the box... but Agger comes across well and easily deals with the pressure.
- 13' Aleksievich stole the ball that Shelvey gave away needlessly, but Johnson does a great job to nab it back from the left winger. Shelvey breathes a sigh of relief.
- 11' Gerrard back-heels the ball to Borini. He can't find space and passes back to the midfielder. Gerrard crosses into the box, but nobody can beat Bushma to the ball and the keeper again takes it well.
- 9' The ball is worked up towards Downing on the right flank. He pulls the ball low towards the edge of the area. GERRARD HITS IT LOW, but the shot has little pace on it and Bushma easily collects the ball.
- 9' Alumona was a real pest in the first leg, and that's probably one of the reasons why Agger, with his pace advantage over Carragher, has been preferred.
- 8' Sergei Kozeka steals the ball from Lucas in the midfield... He's going to attempt to set-up Aleksandr Alumona... but the pass doesn't reach the Russian.
- 6' The Gomel defence already have their hands - and feet and bodies - trying to keep Suarez and Borini at bay.
- 4' Already it seems pretty obvious that attack is what Brendan Rodgers has in mind. Full-backs Johnson and Jose Enrique are playing pretty high up the field and joining the attacks whenever they can.
- 3' A second corner within a minute for Liverpool. Gerrard lofts it into the box, but Bushma collects it well. The goalkeeper is called into action again seconds later, stopping Borini in his tracks and taking a quick goal kick up the field.
