How much did it cost Liverpool to pay the Referee to blow the whistle 1 minute early? It was stated that there were 3 minutes of extra time and at barely 2 minutes the referee blew the final whistle. The underdogs were not given a fair chance after pushing Liverpool all the way.
Let's sack Ted Rodgers before he does anymore damage. What next a defeat by Tranmere Rovers but a strong performance the lads can be proud of. Loser!
Liverpool only just won the game and should have done much better. I agree with comment #174, even as a Chelsea fan, although Arsenal have drawn both games 0-0.
liverpool suarez great goal nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooo o reina let them score.
Just think what Spurs did to these Sweaty mugs last year and here they are, going on about how they did jock footy proud. What a joke from the blue nose #$%$ kissing mongs!
david peter , so its ok to have welsh and scotish players and managers in liverpool is it, you are such an idiot
Yes, I'm a Scot and yes, Liverpool deserved to win over the two games BUT Hearts did themselves and Scottish football proud tonight. I think every Liverpool supporter thought that a 5-0 win was on the books tonight. An ordinary (supposedly) Scottish team held on for a 1-1 draw at anfield. Not bad. And for all the supporters saying that hearts didn't deserve the draw, neither did Chelsea deserve to win the champions league with their 120 minutes of defensive play against bayern but that's football. Saying all that, it's still sad to see a great club like Liverpool struggling as they are.
Liverpool should by a goal keep before the of the transfare.
Lucky lucky liverpool, if it wasn't for the own goal in the first leg you guys would of been sent packing.
Another cautious and nervous display from Liverpool. I can see what Rodgers is trying to do here, with the one-touch passing and ball possession. But the players really look edgy and in some cases inept at keeping the ball. 5 goals in the past 3 games resulting from a defensive error is unacceptable. It's always tougher against unheralded teams like Hearts in Cup games, and Suarez will have better days, for sure.
Please can Liverpool give BR the sack NOW
On paper it was kind of inevitable, but for a while it looked as though the Jam Tarts could pull it off. I for one am proud of their efforts. For long stretches a neutral would have been hard pressed to tell who were the millionaires and who the boys from the hard up ínferior league´.
Liverpool play like a Sunday Morning Team...No Ideas...No thought or planning about how they can score Goals...Knock it around aimlessly..Square -Square -Back -Back-throw in the BIG WALLOP now and again Total Garbage
The Jambo's were immense against Liverpool over the two legs. A fraction of their budget and a (supposed) fraction of their quality. Tactics were spot-on. We were on the verge of taking them to extra-time.
What was Liverpool Goal keeper doing Liverpool played so slow and Dangerous we were lucky to come away with a win
Liverpool still played well tonight, without much edge and hearts got lucky a few times. Liverpool doesn't deserve the abush they are getting from fans of other clubs and the anti-liverpool press.
John G, you are quite right but as a hearts supporter I have seen us lose out unluckily and entirely undeservedly in Europe on many occasions. I thought that tonight for once maybe we were going to get justice. Clearly Liverpool were the better team over the tie but 'mediocre'? No, we gave you a game, you're not that good and we're not that bad.
I am A liverpool fan and I am worried, Yes we played quite well against Man City and Hearts To be honest we are unable to score when we are on top. Now Andy Carroll is off to West Ham I hope against hope this will not come back to haunt us but as I said I am worried. Ronfish
Liverpool fan -) just don't like Rogers though, just does not fit in..A poor start to the season, good result tonight but - not like the old days at Anfield sadly.
