90' WHAT A GOAL! DEMBELE WITH A SCREAMER!!!!- 88' Bale drills one well wide after cutting inside on to his left. Got too far outside that, but Dempsey almost connected with it.
- 87' Malbranque sends a long ball to Briand but, despite the crowd's roars of disapproval, he was offside.
- 86' Briand wins a free-kick to ease the pressure on Lyon. Free-kick sent long by Umtiti but Gallas picks it up.

- 9' Grenier with a great ball to Lisandro but Walker shows great strength to resist a shoulder barge and clear.
- 8' Lacazzette in space on the right but he is offside, failing to look along the line properly.
- 7' It's a good delivery from Bale, pacey and right on the penalty spot where Gallas flies in, but the Frenchman heads well over. Off the top of his head.
- 6' Spurs have a free-kick on the right, which means Bale will swing it into the box. Surely he won't attempt a shot??
- 5' The crowd are pretty noisy, jeering Bale when he gets a touch. Not a good idea.
- 4' Grenier swings in a corner, which Umtiti meets but Gallas scrambles it clear and Lisandro sends a long-range daisy cutter well wide.
- 3' Grenier swings the ball deep, Friedel comes for it but Vertonghen nicks the ball away from his keeper and Walker clears.

Good result in the end and probably a fair one but overall this was another very weak display by Spurs. We were wasteful in possession and created very little. Better in the 2nd half but can't understand why we started so slowly in such a big game. I just hope that AVB and his staff recognise the weaknesses and aren't kidding themselves that this was a good performance. We have some big games coming up but we can't play like that and expect to beat Chelsea, Arsenal and City. COYS!
Spurs lacked creativity, speed of thought and attaching options. Lyon were ineffective and should have been punished by Bale from an excellent pass by Adebayor in the second half. Bale should have buried the chance rather than looking to place the ball precisely at the near post. Spurs were lucky.
They parked the bus, Dembele parked the ball in their net oh so sweetly. Haha what a high :D

Followed the game online and I was worried for Tottenham at half time..... It would seem Lyon were on top for long periods from reading the other comments on this site but the object of the game is to score more than the opposition..... Trying to be fair now Arsenal have won no trophies for a while but by the same token Tottenham have won nothing for a long time either so let us keep the comments friendly shall we?

Cant see ARSENAL finishing ABOVE SPURS in the pl even if they just concentrate on their league performances rather than trying to play as many foreign players as possible
