90' As four extra minutes are signalled by the fourth official, Germany take off Ozil and bring on Hummels.
89' A loose ball runs across the edge of the Germany area for Criscito to strike... the rasping shot rebounds off the arm of Ben-Hatira, and the Italians are screaming for a penalty! The referee is not interested - it would have been a harsh one to give.- 86' Changes for both sides here: Germany bring on Wagner for Dejagah in a like-for-like swap, while Italy bring on an attacker, Pisano, in place of a defender, Motta.
- 84' Abate bursts forward and breaks into the box - he skips through two defenders but stays on his feet and loses the ball. Had he gone down there it could have been a penalty.

- 51' Acquafresca shows a rare glimpse of opportunism to pounce as two defenders fail to clear and unleash a decent effort on goal, only to see it go over the bar. Italy need their striker to step up a couple of gears following his below-par first-half performance.

- 34' Dejagah is penalised for handballing as he tries to block a clearance from Motta.
- 32' Giovinco takes the corner himself, and curls it to the far post for Motta... The Italy skipper heads wide again.
