    Time:90'
    • Italy U21
    • Germany U21
    • 90+4' The whistle goes, and it will be Germany who meet England in the final!
    • 90+2' Balotelli has another free-kick strike from distance. The striker fires a swerving shot that bounces in front of Neuer who kicks the ball away! A highly unorthodox save, but an evffective one.
    • 90' As four extra minutes are signalled by the fourth official, Germany take off Ozil and bring on Hummels.
    • 89' A loose ball runs across the edge of the Germany area for Criscito to strike... the rasping shot rebounds off the arm of Ben-Hatira, and the Italians are screaming for a penalty! The referee is not interested - it would have been a harsh one to give.
    • 86' Changes for both sides here: Germany bring on Wagner for Dejagah in a like-for-like swap, while Italy bring on an attacker, Pisano, in place of a defender, Motta.
    • 84' Abate bursts forward and breaks into the box - he skips through two defenders but stays on his feet and loses the ball. Had he gone down there it could have been a penalty.
    • 83' Another set-piece delivery from Giovinco, and it's met by Andreolli with the header... JUST wide of the near post! Is the writing on the wall for Italy now?
    • 81' Paloschi almost slips the ball through for Giovinco, but Hoewedes reacts quickly enough to stick a leg out and stop the pass reaching its target.
    • 79' The rather disappointing Acquafresca is replaced by Paloschi as Italy try to inject some impetus into their attack with elimination looming.
    • 78' Italy have another free-kick chance. Balotelli is standing over it. Balotelli strikes... Neuer palms the shot away at full stretch!
    • 75' Ben-Hatira remains down onthe floor after being cipped on the run by Andreolli. He eventually gets up and can continue.
    • 73' Italy win another corner. Giovinco's ball into the box is met by Andreolli and cleared of the line yet again by Germany!
    • 70' Bocchetti has another strike, but again misses the target.
    • 68' Ozil is one-on-onw with Andreolli in the box. He jinks this way and that and works the space for the shot, but lashes his effort into the stand.
    • 68' A change in the Italian midfield as Cadreva is replaced by Abate.
    • 55' Ozil skilfully weaves his way through two defenders on the edge of the box, but the ball runs forward to Ben-Hatira, who was in an offside position.
    • 54' Giovinco sends in a free-kick from deep, and Acquafresca tries to steer it goalbound on the turn, but can't get the requisite power needed to beat Neuer on it.
    • 51' Acquafresca shows a rare glimpse of opportunism to pounce as two defenders fail to clear and unleash a decent effort on goal, only to see it go over the bar. Italy need their striker to step up a couple of gears following his below-par first-half performance.
    • 59' Ben-Hatira has come on to replace Marko Marin for Germany.
    • 57' Italy are once more dictating the play, but are still finding it hard to break through a solid German midfield.
    • 56' Balotelli plays a lovely one-two with Cigarini, but loses his balance at the crucial moment on the wing and the momentum goes.
    • 53' Balotelli is again dispossessed as he tries to do too much on his own. Germany build but Beck is harshly penalised for a foul on Criscito.
    • 52' This is a crucial time for the Italians now, they need to reassert themselves on before Germany can close ranks.
    • 50' Balotelli has a shot fromt he set piece... It's a well-struck shot but the ball flies just wide of Neuer's far post.
    • 49' Boateng is booked for a foul on Acquafresca, and now Germany must face a free-kick in a dangerous area.
    • 47' GOAL!! Out of nowhere Germany take the lead! Andreas Beck has all the time he needs to line up a shot from 30 yards out and fire a low strike past Consigli! After Italy dominated the opening 45 minutes, they now find themselves behind!
    • 46' No changes for either side as the second half kicks off.
    • 45' Johnson has a decent effort deflected behind for a corner, but Germany can't force another shot before the half-time whistle goes.
    • 44' Bocchetti steers a shot on target... blocked at the near post again!
    • 43' Balotelli wins another corner as Italy aim to convert all this advantage into a lead they can take into the break.
    • 40' Giovinco will take the free-kick on the left. He plays it along the deck back for Criscito to shoot... Neuer saves and Giovinco follows up but his shot is blocked!
    • 39' Germasny are barely getting out of their half at the moment. Beck does a good job of keeping Balotelli quiet before Johnson steams in and fouls him!
    • 37' Giovinco feeds Acquafresca on the left, and the striekr plays a square pass in for Candreva who completely miscues his shot! Another great chance for Italy.
    • 36' Balotelli finds a team-mate in midfield with a cheeky little flick, but Italy end up playing backwards.
    • 35' Balotelli is back out on the right now, but his is dispossessed all too easily by Boenisch.
    • 34' Dejagah is penalised for handballing as he tries to block a clearance from Motta.
    • 32' Giovinco takes the corner himself, and curls it to the far post for Motta... The Italy skipper heads wide again.
    • 32' Giovinco drives forward into the Germany box and Castro has to concede the corner.
    • 31' Balotelli fouls Andreas Beck as the defender marks him out. The big striker is not having much luck on that left flank.
    • 30' Giovinco links things up in the Italy atack, but the move eventually breaks down.
    • 29' Boateng sees the run on dajagah and almost picks him out with a long ball, but it just skips off the turf and away from the forward.
    • 28' Castro shoves over Motta and concedes the free-kick.
    • 25' These two sides are vying for a place against England in the final. Find out how England won their semi-final here.
    • 24' Ozil brings the ball forward but Dajagah does not read the pass and Italy can break. Balotelli fires a solid strike that lands on the roof of the Germany net!
    • 23' Balotelli looks to burst into the box but Hoewedes gets a well-timed tackle in to rob the Inter striker of the ball.
    • 22' Candreva tries a pop from distance that sails over Neuer's goal.
    • 19' Dejagah goes down in the Italy area... he's booked for diving! That means he will miss the final!
    • 17' From the Italy corner Aquafresca shoots from three yards out... saved by Neuer! How is Aquafresca not on the scoresheet?
    • 16' Balotelli strikes from distance and the shot deflects off a defender and loops into the air... Aquafresca decides not to go for it for fear of colliding with the goalkeeper! That has to go down as a wasted chance.
    • 15' Germany take the free-kick short, but the move fizzles out.
    • 15' Giovinco tracks back to chase after Marko Marin, and concedes the foul. The Juve man remonstrates furiously, but he's got no grounds for complaint.
    • 13' The Italians have resumed their game lan of starving the Germans of possession. They lose it in a dangerous area, though, and Ozil's strike along the gorund of held by Consigli.
    • 10' Germany win another corner, and Ozil's delivery finds Aogo, who misses the target.
    • 8' Balotelli takes the corner, and it's met by Motta and Neuer once again just manages to scramble it away! A nervy start for the Schalke keeper.
    • 7' Giovinco bursts forward and fires a shot from 25 yards that fizzes through air! Neuer is completely fooled by it and tips over the bar in panic!
    • 5' Ozil curls in a decent dleivery and the big centre-back Hoewedes heads wide of the far post. The German defender won that easily - a worrying sign for the Italians.
    • 4' Germany win the ball in midfield, and Ozil's strike from distance is deflected behind for a corner.
    • 4' Italy have the better of the opening few minutes, keeping possession well and giving each of their players an early touch.
    • 2' After the drama of England's shootout win over the hosts in Gothenburg, the atmosphere at the Olimpia Stadium is a lot more muted to say the least.
    • 1' Italy kick off in Helsingborg as they do battle with Germany for the rigth to face England in Monday's final.
  • Summary

    • 89' A loose ball runs across the edge of the Germany area for Criscito to strike... the rasping shot rebounds off the arm of Ben-Hatira, and the Italians are screaming for a penalty! The referee is not interested - it would have been a harsh one to give.
