Another English team bites the dust at the hand of a La Liga team!! I don't know why people keep commenting that the EPL is the best league. It is a great league but not the best league. Results support my conclusions, no English team has beaten a La Liga team in a Championship during the last 10 years. La Liga teams have won a combined 5-UEFA/EL championships, 7-UEFA Supercups, and 5-Champions League titles more than any other league. Quick head to head comparisons between EPL and La La Liga teams in finals over the last 10 years. CL Final -Barcelona beats Man U twice & Arsenal once UEFA/EL Final-Sevilla beats Middlesborough & Atletico Madrid beats Fulham

Atletico is not in the Champions league but they humiliated you. And also let's not forget that Chelsea didn't make top 4 to be in the CL either. You are there only because you won it last season otherwise you would be playing Europa League this season. @Michael 441. You can cover up the defeat in as many ways as you like, dress it up as you like, but it still doesn't change the fact that , yes, the Champions of Europe have been humiliated by a team that didn't make the CL. It seems that there is a lot of angst here or maybe stupidity . Forget the malicious comments be real supporters and talk about how you experienced the "game" . What is clear is that Chelsea were out played in the CL semi and final and from that point are very lucky . Against AM they were again out played despite the efforts of Hazard and Oscar but on this occasion they suffered for it , you cant rely on "Luck" she is very fickle . Consider the fact that Arsn and Man U. were after both of the previously mentioned players who are very good , both teams dropped out when the price went very high . This is a similar position to when Chlsa bought Essien,Robben ,Mikel and Balack who were supposed to go to other clubs and at the last minute were "persudaed" to go the Chelsea . They had to pay compensation for Mikel , Robben left for RM now BM it looks like Essien is off and Balack left . My point is are chelsea being trapped into paying over the odds for players are Man u. chasing players and driving the prices high while they are very selective with their buying and Arsn even more so . Compare the three teams this season Chsa are of to a flier , not so Man U. and Arsn but they have very young teams emerging and have spent very little on the last three or four years RVP apart . See what Christmas brings a fully fitand integrated Man. U and Arsn and maybe not so fully fit Chlsa , remember lady "luck" . Maybe the boys own sides against "the mercenaries" . Untd and Arsn will not do worse Clsa will on the balance of probability . Take in to account Everton and of course Man Cit and the aging of Chlsa's team , lots of games and the winter cold and mud . On Balance i thnk that we saw the real chelsea emerge from this match bleary eyed scratching its combined head a victim of its own hype , Hazards comments of "three" are just wishful thinking .
