    Time:90'
    • Aston Villa
    • Doncaster Rovers
    • 92' In the last attack of the game Doncaster lump it forward for the first time and something nearly comes of it! Heffernan makes space for a shot, but Cuellar nips in and clears before he can try and bag another consolation goal. The referee blows up, and that's Villa through to the fifth round. Doncaster can take great credit from this performance though.
    • 89' There's two minutes of added time here. The Doncaster fans are cheering every pass made here, but their side have lacked teeth up front.
    • 85' Doncaster haven't given this up yet, and again Wellens finds space for a shot. His curling effort could almost be a cross, but it eludes everyone and goes out for a goal kick. If Doncaster could shoot, this result could have been very different.
    • 83' Doncaster come close to pulling one back from a Stock corner. Hird narrowly misses the far post as the ball rolls around the penalty area.
    • 81' 21,403 have made the journey to Villa Park tonight. It's absolutely arctic out there and they're all still in good spirits.
    • 77' Sub for Villa: Ashley Young goes off and is replaced by Isaih Osbourne.
    • 74' Triple substitution from Doncaster: John Spicer, Jamie Coppinger and Jason Price going off and Darren Byfield, Lewis Guy and Paul Heffernan replacing them.
    • 72' A bit of shoving takes place after Guzan kicks the ball into touch after Chambers was down. Doncaster play on from the throw-in and win a corner. Poor sportsmanship there. The corner is played out for a goal kick though, and all is well again.
    • 70' Sidwell plays Carew into the box, but he goes down under a challenge from Chambers! Villa fans are appealing for a penalty but the referee waves play on.
    • 68' It's all Doncaster now. But, is it too little too late? Wellens is denied a shooting opportunity by a good tackle from Curtis Davies.
    • 65' Villa have switched off again. Doncaster break forward and twice have a spare man over the Villa defence, but both times they fail to carve out a shooting opportunity. Can Doncaster pull a goal back?
    • 59' GOAL! And that should really be Villa through now. Delfouneso with a great diving header makes it 3-1 to Villa. Nicky Shorey had supplied a teasing cross from the left, but Delfouneso did really well to get onto the end of that ball. That more than makes up for his mistake at the end of the first half.
    • 58' Doncaster have been having some good possession at the moment. A poor free kick from Woods is floated into Guzan's hands to give Villa a breather though.
    • 57' Great save! Guzan, at full-stretch, manages to tip a brilliant strike from Brian Stock behind for a corner. Stock had just strolled out of midfield there and smashed a shot goalwards. Guzan has kept Villa ahead there.
    • 55' Wellens plays a great pass aimed at Price, but it's just too strong. If Price had got hold of that he was in. Villa were just watching there.
    • 54' John Carew is offside again. He looks a bit knackered to be honest.
    • 52' Again good work from Gardner who has a good run at the Doncaster back line, beating one man before smashing a shot hopelessly wide. Good work up until the finish.
    • 49' Craig Gardner is getting into the game a bit more here. He breaks forward after exchanging passes with Salifou but Doncaster are looking really up for this and a great challenge halts Gardner's run.
    • 46' Delfouneso finds himself with space to shoot and flashes a shot at the goal, but it flies wide to the right of the goal.
    • 45' Doncaster kick off the second half. Can they get another goal here?
    • 45 The Donny fans are in full voice now. This game had looked like petering out, but that goal in stoppage time at the end of the first half has given them hope.
    • 45 GOAL! Price pokes home Coppingers cross in first half injury time. Villa have been coasting along here for the last 10 minutes, and really Doncaster haven't look like scoring, but they have! Coppinger won the ball after sloppy Villa defending and his cut back found Price who slotted past Guzan into the bottom corner.
    • 43' Ashley Young looks to be okay now, and he's switched onto the left flank. He breaks forward at great pace and looks like getting through with some good footwork but Chambers atones for his previous error with a great tackle.
    • 41' James Chambers plays a very poor pass back to the keeper Sullivan and Ashley Young looks to be getting there, but Sullivan somehow gets there just ahead of him and wins the ball. Young gets up very gingerly from the heavy collision and limps away.
    • 37' Ashley Young collects the ball on the right, and with three Villa players waiting in the box, dallys on the ball until a Doncaster defender comes across and takes the ball off Young and puts it out for a throw. If Villa weren't 2-0 up here there'd be words exchanged there!
    • 34' Sidwell receives a yellow card for a late challenge on John Spicer.
    • 33' A lovely ball down the left hand side finds James Chambers who tries to force his way into the box, but he's crowded out by Villa's defence.
    • 29' Again, Doncaster are passing it about nicely, but they don't really look that dangerous. Price and Wellens exchange passes before Price hits a shot which Luke Young blocks at full stretch. The ball goes out for a corner, but Doncaster claim a penalty. It would have been very harsh had it been given.
    • 24' Salifou is lucky here. He crashes into Chambers, and would surely have been booked had the referee not blown the whistle seconds before for a previous offence.
    • 22' Doncaster go straight back down the pitch and Wellens finds himself in absolutely acres of space in the area after Price's header across the area! He looks up, and tries to bend a shot into the corner, but it goes well wide. Wellens really should have done better there. He had loads of time.
    • 21' Sidwell wins possession cheaply deep in the Doncaster area and surges forward into the box. His shot is blocked but breaks to Young who also has his shot blocked. Villa look dangerous on the break here.
    • 19' GOAL! Another one! So unlucky for Doncaster! Carew takes a speculative shot from outside the area and the ball takes a huge deflection and loops over Sullivan and into the net!
    • 15' GOAL! The ball is crossed back into the box after the first ball in from a free kick is cleared. Gardner manages to get a low shot away which Sullivan can only parry into the path of Sidwell who prods home from close range.
    • 14' Slick passing again from the visitors sets up Stock for a long range effort, but Sidwell gets himself in the way and blocks the effort. The ball breaks to Young who turns brilliantly before Hird sticks a hand out and gets booked for handling the ball.
    • 10' Villa look to be happy for Doncaster to play in front of them. Doncaster don't have a great goal scoring record and Villa will be looking to hit them on the break here.
    • 7' Coppinger cuts in from the right hand side and tries to cross twice with Shorey and Cuellar making two good blocks, and the ball goes out for a throw. A good confident start here from Doncaster.
    • 4' Doncaster pass the ball around nicely here. Coppinger and Wellens exchange passes on the edge of the box before Davies steps in to clear the ball.
    • 1' And we're underway! A promising start from Villa with good work from Sidwell who plays in Delfouneso who crosses for Carew, and it only needed a touch and it would have been a dream start for Villa.
    • - ASTON VILLA TEAM NEWS: Martin O'Neill has made a host of changes with Ashley Young returning from a three match ban and John Carew returning to the starting line up. Brad Guzan starts with Curtis Davies and Carlos Cuellar in the centre of defence. DONCASTER ROVERS TEAM NEWS: Doncaster start with nine of the side who got a 1-1 draw with Norwich on Friday. Doncaster are currently undefeated in eight games now and will be roared on by a healthy following from South Yorkshite
  • Summary

    • 59' GOAL! And that should really be Villa through now. Delfouneso with a great diving header makes it 3-1 to Villa. Nicky Shorey had supplied a teasing cross from the left, but Delfouneso did really well to get onto the end of that ball. That more than makes up for his mistake at the end of the first half.
