Brighton and Hove Albion pulled off an FA Cup fourth round shock as they beat Newcastle 1-0 at the Amex Stadium. More
90+5' There's the final whistle! Newcastle are out of the FA Cup, and it's a triumph for Brighton!
90+2' Brighton change: Will Hoskins on for Craig Mackail-Smith.
83' Newcastle changes: Dan Gosling, Ryan Taylor and Shane Ferguson on for Ben Arfa, Santon and Guthrie.
76' GOAL!! There may be no replay after all!! Will Buckley gives Brighton the lead!! He dribbles down the left, cuts inside and his shot deflects off Williamson's heels, taking it past Krul!
70' Mackail-Smith has a crack left-footed from 25 yards! Krul is forced into a decent diving save and he tips it behind for a corner.
65' Brighton change: Brian Harley is on for Jake Forster-Caskey.
53' Another chance! The corner drops to Ameobi, whose left-foot shot is parried by Brezovan!
53' The ball comes out to Guthrie, whose volley is deflected over from the edge of the box!
52' Ameobi spins away from Graham and tees up Best, whose low shot is saved by Brezovan!
46' Second half under way! One change from Brighton - Alan Navarro on for Brighton. He replaces Matthew Sparrow, who was on a yellow.
45+2' Right, that's half-time. No goals, and not a great deal to shout about. Brighton are holding their own, but we could do with a bit more excitement.
38' Sparrow is penalised for a foul on Cabaye. The Brighton man is furious, but it looked an awful challenge to me. Yellow card.
34' Ben Arfa slides a through ball for Simpson, whose shot ricochets back off the keeper, hits him, loops goalwards again and is hacked away for a corner.
10' Chance for Leon Best! He controls a long ball superbly in the box, turns and fires a low shot just wide of the left-hand post! Good effort, and the first attacking threat we have seen from the visitors.
1' Game on! Brighton get us under way. The home side in blue and white stripes, Newcastle all in black.

83′ david, nothing false about it. Just stating facts, even though Newcastle were denied a clear pen, Brighton still played well. If you have nothing decent to post, go back to the mackem page where you clearly belong

156 Typical Northern Cockney you congratulate Brighton and then say they were lucky and you were denied . WHAT A FALSE CONGRATULATIONS absolutely typical of your club very false

tonysadmag, you clearly need to learn the rules of football then. His hands were up and moved towards the ball to deflect it away. Therefore, Handball.
Now why don't you run off to the Sunderland pages where you belong.

156 cards fanny still crying sad mag grow up little boy it was never a pen ftm

Newcastle were poor in this game, Shola was shocking and again proves he should not be playing in the Prem or Championship based on this performance. Well done to Brighton, although it was a lucky goal and Newcastle were denied a clear cut penalty for hand ball.

The Magnetic muppets do it again .Never mind things will brighten up

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha , still pi$$ing myself at the mighty magpies !!!!

as I have a BMI of 21 and swim a mile every morning I won't take your bitter advice to heart. Being lectured on fitness by a Geordie is like being lectured on democracy by Saddam Hussein...

You better get Andy Carrol back....Sunderland are going to p1ss ya...

1969 fairs cup was by invitation all you needed was a covered market and sold coconuts not a claim to fame is it
